I haven’t heard this song since 1985 while being stationed in Hawaii and Hugh poster of Sheila E in my room , now I’m just sitting at my computer and all of a sudden started humming the lyrics to her song and from that moment, I had to go look it up. I had to hear it. It brought back a lot of memories. It’s amazing how things popped in your head after so many years

My all time favorite! She has some stellar b-sides but this one takes the cake.

Keep up the good work. I have all these official releases on the original vinyl since I bought them when they were released. You are saving me the trouble of ripping them to a digital format.

Such an overlooked song. This should've been on the USA For Africa album with 4 The Tears In Your Eyes. They beat out every song on that album along with We Are The World.

It definitely would have been a good fit for that album. Just watched parts of a Netflix doc on the making of We Are The World. Sheila said although she was honored to be included, she also felt Quincy and others lied to her by promising a solo verse and used her in hopes of her getting Prince to show up & sing with everyone else. Once they realized he wasn’t coming… she never did get that solo verse.
