  • I was challenged to shoot out to a 1000 yards subsonic. I used my 8 inch SBR It was so easy and I had some ammo left so the next day I went after the 1 mile plus 30 yard target. ELR

    This is incredibly impressive. My 300aac suppressed is a folder pistol I keep under my bed. I can't imagine touching out past a few hundred yards reliably with it. I'm subscribing to keep an eye on these amazing shots.

      If a 9mm can hit at 100yards. You blackout can probably hit 200-300 your hitting 350-400 with a 16 inch barrel

    Another video that proves subsonic bullets are very efficient, and is nothing to worry about when shooting long range.

    Whats so awesome about that round at even 650 fps it will still shoot through about any soft target it would hit, most ppl dont believe me when I tell them how much these subs retain velocity and penetrate.

      I agree with you. People want to argue with me when I tell them I am shooting the 300bo at 2200 yds with My contender pistol I shoot the 200gr sierra MK with a BC of .715. At 2200yds it is going going over 800fps. People just cant seem to rap there head around a low drag bullet retaining energy.

      I really like Hodgdon CFE BLK. I have a 1000 yard video using my Ruger Ranch Rifle using Speer 125gr TNT Bullets It shoots about 1 MOA. I have good success with Bullets in 175-180gr Range I shoot the hornady 178gr ELD a lot it hangs out at about 1moa in all my blackouts. My best 300 Blackout load is in my Contender Pistol it is the Sierra 200gr Matchking close to half MOA. To date my farthest video with it is 2200 yards. As you can see I see no reason you cant get it to 600. Its all about safety first and having fun. Good Luck

    Awesome shooting, awesome channel! Hello from Sweden :) What length is the gas system on your rifle? What brand is your barrel? I'm building a 300blk with a 16" Aero barrel w pistol length gas system.

    • @nevadadesertrat267

      The Barrel is a 8 inch barrel with a pistol length gas system 1-7 twist. It is a cheap barrel and I do not know the brand I bought it years ago. I am sure you will enjoy your rifle.

      @@nevadadesertrat267 thank you for the reply! 300blk is quite new here in Sweden, not many shoot that caliber, it will be fun to see what I can squeeze out of the rifle :)

      Here is some advice. I believe suppressors are legal in Sweden and if they are and you plan on using one. The gas port position makes a big difference on noise. Basically the back pressure from a suppressor will cause more noise when the bolt opens than from the suppressor itself. I have a 16 223 with a carbine length gas port I have to wear hearing protection when shooting it. My 24 inch 223 with a rifle length gas port I do not need hearing protection. My 16 inch 300blk with a mid length gas port does alright with supersonic loads. My 8 inch with the pistol length when shooting subsonic it does not need hearing protection when shooting supersonic I need hearing protection.

      @@nevadadesertrat267 thank you for the information! Yes, suppressors are legal and maybe this summer all regulations might be dropped, which would mean no paperwork and bringing them home directly. For now they are restricted to hunting and only for basically .223 and upwards in caliber and muzzle energy. Which gas length do you prefer on 300blk? The only 16" I could find has pistol length. I have been wondering about the level of noise/port pop when the gun cycles, I thank you for the info!

    You did it suppressed on a 8" barrel and a subsonic 240grs. bullet, that's awesome ... i can't imagine what is possible with a 16" barrel and a 150grs. bullet unsuppressed :o ..... ?????

  • @benbarker3978
    @benbarker3978 ปีที่แล้ว

    I wonder if it still has killing power at that range. And I wonder how much power a 120gr or 110gr supersonic round would have at that distance if it was shot from a 16” barrel. I’m debating building a mk12 type rifle but in 300blk to shoot supersonic rounds.

    • @nevadadesertrat267
      @nevadadesertrat267  ปีที่แล้ว

      It was a 240gr bullet. Still going 650fps or faster at the target 250lbs of energy. Way more energy than a 22lr.

      @@benbarker3978 I have no idea what bullet you are talking about. I have some 125 TNT bullets with a BC of .326. Pushing them about as hard I can I have shot them out to 1000 yards and was surprised at the accuracy. If I was to shoot them subsonic at 1 mile it would take over 8 degrees of elevation they would arriving going under 500fps and less than 70lbs of energy.

    How many feet is the bullet drop at 5200 feet range?

    • @nevadadesertrat267
      @nevadadesertrat267  ปีที่แล้ว

      The actual distence was 1790yds or 5290 feet. I dont think in the terms of drop and dont understand the thinking but I beleave I can answer your question. At 100 yards the path of the bullet has it 33 feet above the line of sight. At the bullets highest point above the line of sight which is about 960yds or 2880 feet out the bullet is about 180 feet above the line of sight. At 1780 yards or or 5260 feet (30 feet in front of the target) the bullet is 55 inches or 4.7 feet above the line of sight at 1800 yards or 5320 feet (30 feet beyond the target) the bullet would be 55.9 inches below the line of sight. So at 1790 yards the bullet is dropping about 55 inches or 4.7 feet for every 30 feet of distance traveled. I hope I answered your question
