I bought an M3 in December with an Element Helix 4-16 x44 FFP with no limits rings. My initial impressions were poor of the rifle as 34 gr slugs (Javelin) kept getting squibs. Since then I have shot lighter slugs still trying to understand the issue with the 34gr ones though. Keep up the videos! I also wish the Element Helix had a luminated reticle…
Can you make a video on how to set up and tune the M3 for shooting pellets? I know everyone now likes to shoot slugs but for me in this moment i want to stick with the pellets and that’s why i am asking you if you can make a video on how to for pellets because you can’t find any videos of someone saying how to set up and tune your rifle for pellets, thanks for your helpful videos

I just got a Wildcat from Utah Airguns a few weeks ago & same thing for me ...I don't just take it out of the box & use it as is! I got it in 25 cal specifically for shooting the Kings & Hades, so not much tuning needed, but I wanted it quiet so I tuned it to 844 fps average (42 ft.lbs) & made small reg & hammer spring adjustments to get the spread & deviation really low. And I always set my trigger up so it feels like my other guns, just like you said. Thanks for all the info videos! I really fancied an impact m3 but to be honest i want something that i could just take out of the case and shoot as im not that well up on set ups etc. I did consider the maverick but in the end i went for a wildcat MK3 compact. It does everything i want and more and is more within my technical abilities 👍👍👍

I’ve had my M3 for 5 months now it’s awesome in .25 takes a bit of time to set up ect but once done It’s great, Matt keeps these videos coming they are great love to learn especially about the M3 platform Keep them coming mate ..
You can just take it out the box and shoot with it, if you are happy with the factory settings. Most people don’t spend that much money on an adjustable gun only to never adjust it though😂

I enjoy watching your videos for several reasons, the long distance shots are almost surreal and the nature images are spectacular; my biggest dream is to have an Airguns FX, but here in Brazil it is very expensive, in beauty, no airgun compares to FX; make a video measuring your performance on the chronograph; and congratulations on everything!
You’re a very lucky young man that have those options. I’ve an ‘out of the box Weihrauch HW 100 .22’ sub 12 ft pounds’ and there’s no tuning involved. Scope, zero and a know you yardage. That’s it. Still well capable of killing pigeons out to 40 yards. I’d love to have some of your kilt but hard to get in the UK. Good video though! Thank you.

I think before you change probe you should test accuracy for slug 23, 26 and 30gn as reference point, so we can see howmuch improvement by changing probe, how much improvement for heavy superior liner, and how much improvement for changing probe linier and spring and which change is worse for baggage Thank you
Another great video... I originally got a mk2 30/700...caught the bug and got a 25/700mm barrel for it... Double bottled it all the great saber tactical kit and it became a dedicated benchrest gun as it was fat and heavy and incredibly accurate... It was a truck gun as you wouldn't move 20 feet from the truck.lol....had to get another mk2 for a woods walker in 25/500... I'm only going to add lightness and jsb 33.95.... This has a totally different character.... Great informative video, keep them coming
At mark 7:27, the "aftermarket" pistol grip, even though claimed by the guy to be more comfortable for the webbing of the hand, it doesn't seem to fit properly. For that reason, I'm not impressed, and seems like a cheap hack on an expensive rifle. At mark 2:58 you can see the factory pistol grip fits perfectly. Next, at mark 18:26, electrical tap is used as a hack to keep the barrel liner O-rings in place. Again, I'm not impressed. The engineers at FX need to solve the sliding O-ring problem beforehand.
Why to much money for a pellet gun. Considering all the extras you have to buy just to shoot it. Tanks, scope, compressor, suppressor, grips, etc. I like my Rws model 52 22 cal. Side lever cocking.
I have a brand new m3 sniper from utah airguns they set it up for pellets at 920fps. I just received some fx hybrid slugs so I rotated the transfer port to the slug opening and did nothing else. My gun went from 920 to 965 fps by doing nothing else the point of impact was 16 inches high and 6 inches to the right at 50 meters. Is this normal or is my barrel liner that badly bent. I had to raise my fx scope mounts up almost 3/32" to compensate for the point of impact shift. Or should I call fx and get a new liner or index it 180 degrees ??
Absolutely love the information you share! Good video mate. About the carbon fiber sleeve, I received 2 (.22 & .25). Both were non concentric. The liner became ¼mm out of center using the CF sleeve. The liner wouldn't center up with the transfer port or the barrel nut. Hopefully this isn't a common issue.
I WANT ONE...BADLY!!!!.....BUT...I live in Australia where ANYTHING Sharper than a Bowling Ball is registered as a "FIREARM"...Yea...not kidding...Bullet Proof Vest = Firearm...and even more ludicrous...a "SLING SHOT" IS A FIREARM...Indeed, a forked stick and a Rubber Band is a registered "Firearm"...I kid you not!...So for me to get an FX impact I've got to go through all the rigmarole and checks to get a Licence....wait for absolute "Months"...join a Gun Club...and then buy the GUN and wait for the Plod to turn up randomly to check my Gun...and JUST THE GUN in Australia, is...wait for it...$3500.00...so all up with scope and all the bits and pieces I wouldn't get much change from "$5000.00"....Shame to there is no semi auto though.
HOLY COW BATMAN. How many FX'S do you have? I have been saving $ for my first FX for 2 years. As a 73yo disabled veteran, my cash flow is greatly reduced. Due to health issues, weight is a factor so supported will be preferred. Then there are night vision scope choices. When all is consiered, I likely will be too weak and old before I can afford a setup like yours. Regardless of these obstacles, My break barrel may have to suffice. Wish FX made a budget rifle for us old warriors. You videos are outstanding, your stock of weapons is maddening. HEE HEE. Any suggestions on sourcing used FX's and night scopes is appreciated. After 23 years as an Army Ranger, where cost was not a consideration, and end results meant everything I must keep costs under control. Thanks

Matt, I am about to enter a competition shoot with my Dubber edition .22 MkII slug gun. The shoot is pellet only, do you recommend I change the stock prob and air inlet valve and/or liner? I will be shooting the Exact jumbo 33.95 pellets in .22
I am considering buying an M3, but honestly .... when I see these videos I always get the feeling that this airgun is useless out of the box. You always need to go into the tuning rabbit hole to make it work. At over 2000 EUR I would expect something working out of the box. Your thoughts?
Hi matt, is a 600mm barrel length your preferred barrel length? Ive just ordered an FX impact sniper with the 700mm barrel. I would like to get a decent range out of it and i would prefer shooting slugs. Would the original barrel and probe be ok to shoot slugs out of it as i would be worried i would mess things up if i tinkered with it.

Dear, Impact is the best gun in the world. No other gun can kill the exact target at such a long range. But this gun has only problems and problems. Which confuses a user.
Nothing special you just changed the barrel and installed bunch of modular equipments , everybody can do that , wasn't anything special and unic at all
What a good video, have a question. I recently had an M3 and I am setting it up. It is true that when the M3 is well set up you should hear it clearly when the plenum fills with air or is it a myth? I ask you why I don't hear it and to be clear that I have to keep insisting on searching for those sounds or maybe it's not necessary.

What kind of airgun shoots longer and is more effective at long distances. Fx3 impact or Fx Maverick (sniper) Can you answer me honestly about that. It is incredibly difficult to get an honest answer from those on TH-cam who have posted videos about FX 3 Impackt and FX Maverick. I need to shoot 300 - 400m to kill with cal 25 or cal 30. Which air rifle of the two is better for 300 - 400 m shooting. Maverik can be regulated, they say, and Impackt can be tuned, so what should one choose for 300 - 400 meters in cal 25 - 30??? Please give me an honest answer so I don't buy the wrong one. I have tried shooting with both at a dealer, but it was only at 50 m and there was no difference between the two airguns.

You mentioned your slug probe had an adapter so you could use it for a 30 caliber I've never seen an FX slug probe come with that mostly they are 22 with an adapter for 25? Is that a new slug power kit that they just now put out?
This is a very interesting video Matt. I have a question for you though- FX tells me the regs are good to 170 bar, but that is pushing them pretty hard so life will be shortened obviously. With these new MK 3's, are the regs even stronger now and capable of sustaining those high pressures you mentioned in this video?One other question if you have the time to reply- will that slug power probe do much for my late version MK II with the power plenum they came with? I am shooting a 30 cal/700 with hybrids. I am running a fairly low reg pressure of 130 for durability. The guns shoots very well with the tune I have on it now, but if I can gain speed without having to up the reg and thus lose shot count, that would be great. Thanks.
oh boy i just got my Impact m3 less than a day. i fell in love with the build nice looking airgun. sadly it will be my first and last FX, the gun is so expensive and FX quality control is so bad. out from the box my unit leaks air out of the barrel. seems like the valve does not close properly, regulator 2 is lazy too. i was expecting everything to work for the money i paid for it. Now what is see with FX is all hype and money making thru accessories. ill be returning this unit. and thats that. This is my experience. Lucky are those that did not have this problem. Im going back to my trusted AGT Vulcan 700mm sluger.CHEAPER, simple reliable and accurate!
I have a weird question...I just installed the slug power kit on my M3. When I put the bottles back on,it leaks air from where the micro adjuster is located....leaks bad.

I have a question about barrels. Just wondering can I take the 700 mm barrel for my crown and switch it over to my impact 3 and just buy the kit for the different caliber. My impact is in 25 cal and the crown is in 22 cal. Didn't know if the barrels could be interchangeable. Any suggestions
Hi Matt, Firstly, great videos! I am looking at purchasing an FX Impact M3 BUT I do not hold a firearms certificate. I am after a sub 12ft lbs rifle and would like to know, with regards to my intended purchase, what I should be looking to get in my package. I understand that being sub 12ft lbs there is limited 'tuning BUT massive customisation to make it as individual as i want. I will be using it for target and hunting. I wanted to know which length barrel as i prefer .177 for the flatter trajectory. Being new to the FX product and influenced by your excellent videos, I will also be looking at Elements glass to top the rifle. I was looking to get the Nexus as I believe the glass should be heavily invested in as it is the most important part of the rifle. I look forward to any advice, help that you may be able to give me. Any reason the slug power king in Australia doesn’t have a 30 cal adaptor and doesn’t seem to have an adaptor available? Will the probe work with 30 cal slugs without the sleeve.

I have a question. How do you remove, disassemble, replace standard.25cal 700mm m3 barrel sleeve and reassemble with carbon fiber sleeve, and reinstall barrel?? I'm forgot to have it installed at Utah airguns. I'm doing this on a extremely limited budget and can't afford to send it across the country to get it done. Waiting for my FX Impact .22 Compact from UA to arrive. Will follow your setup steps before shooting as I plan on shooting slugs. Going to order the slug kit and will need to order a tanto or tatsu since I did not choose to include the FX DonnyFL moderator/silencer. Will shoot it with the 300 cc bottle until I get a 300 bar bottle. What Patriot slugs should I use for the 500 mm barrel or should I buy a 600 mm? Please do not take this in anyway except for a person who is interested in the PCP who has some but not a lot of knowledge. I would like to see some thing you said you can’t do that is taken ethics M3 22 caliber 700 sniper out of the box put a modest scope on it a relatively inexpensive bipod may be a bag rider and start shooting it with pellets. The reason I would love to see this is majority of people who have spent over $2000 on this PCP unlimited budget can afford extra barrels all the bells and whistles etc. etc. to rack up another thousand plus dollars. I would like to see you or Air tac or mr. Gehard to do a simple video of the basic M3 out-of-the-box modest scope cheap bipod maybe a bag rider and turn it up to shoot pellets out to 75 maybe 100 yards. I truly believe this would help a great many new FX shooters to develop more into the sport than just having some videos with pure slug barrels high-end scopes the orca this the tripod mount that etc. everyone needs to start somewhere. And in my humble opinion I think you all have kind of forgotten the beginner to help them get into then launch forward into the FXM3. And in closing again I want to stress this is not a negative comment nor anything in a derogatory manner. Thank you for your time and reading this comment and hopefully a lot of positive benefits will come from it.

I would never want an airsoft gun or rifle if I’m gonna get a gun or rifle it’s gonna be the real thing because airsoft weapons you have to air up and you run out of air when you shoot so many times and then you got to fill up your tank with air in a regular gun or rifle all you have to do is put in the magazine and start shooting so like I say, I will never buy airsoft guns or rifles because all they are is basically like a paintball gun
why can't the out of box m3 shoot slugs from the superior liner barrel. Its an expensive gun, most people won't want to replace a barrel just to shoot slugs.

When all is consiered, I likely will be too weak and old before I can afford a setup like yours. Regardless of these obstacles, My break barrel may have to suffice. Wish FX made a budget rifle for us old warriors. You videos are outstanding, your stock of weapons is maddening. HEE HEE. Any suggestions on sourcing used FX's and night scopes is appreciated. After 23 years as an Army Ranger, where cost was not a consideration, and end results meant everything I must keep costs under control. Thanks

Matt, I am about to enter a competition shoot with my Dubber edition .22 MkII slug gun. The shoot is pellet only, do you recommend I change the stock prob and air inlet valve and/or liner? I will be shooting the Exact jumbo 33.95 pellets in .22

I am considering buying an M3, but honestly .... when I see these videos I always get the feeling that this airgun is useless out of the box. You always need to go into the tuning rabbit hole to make it work. At over 2000 EUR I would expect something working out of the box. Your thoughts?

Ive just ordered an FX impact sniper with the 700mm barrel. I would like to get a decent range out of it and i would prefer shooting slugs. Would the original barrel and probe be ok to shoot slugs out of it as i would be worried i would mess things up if i tinkered with it.

What a good video, have a question. I recently had an M3 and I am setting it up. It is true that when the M3 is well set up you should hear it clearly when the plenum fills with air or is it a myth? I ask you why I don't hear it and to be clear that I have to keep insisting on searching for those sounds or maybe it's not necessary.
Take the back cap off the DonnyFL Fatboy 2.0, the end cap is a reducer from a larger set of threads.

Why is the scope rail so high on an Impact? Wouldn't you want the scope to be closer to the barrel?
It has added MOA so you dont run out of elevation clicks on your scope if going stupid long range

What kind of airgun shoots longer and is more effective at long distances. Fx3 impact or Fx Maverick (sniper) Can you answer me honestly about that. It is incredibly difficult to get an honest answer from those on TH-cam who have posted videos about FX 3 Impackt and FX Maverick. I need to shoot 300 - 400m to kill with cal 25 or cal 30. Which air rifle of the two is better for 300 - 400 m shooting. Maverik can be regulated, they say, and Impackt can be tuned, so what should one choose for 300 - 400 meters in cal 25 - 30??? Please give me an honest answer so I don't buy the wrong one. I have tried shooting with both at a dealer, but it was only at 50 m and there was no difference between the two airguns.

You mentioned your slug probe had an adapter so you could use it for a 30 caliber I've never seen an FX slug probe come with that mostly they are 22 with an adapter for 25? Is that a new slug power kit that they just now put out?

This is a very interesting video Matt. I have a question for you though- FX tells me the regs are good to 170 bar, but that is pushing them pretty hard so life will be shortened obviously. With these new MK 3's, are the regs even stronger now and capable of sustaining those high pressures you mentioned in this video?One other question if you have the time to reply- will that slug power probe do much for my late version MK II with the power plenum they came with? I am shooting a 30 cal/700 with hybrids. I am running a fairly low reg pressure of 130 for durability. The guns shoots very well with the tune I have on it now, but if I can gain speed without having to up the reg and thus lose shot count, that would be great. Thanks.
oh boy i just got my Impact m3 less than a day. i fell in love with the build nice looking airgun. sadly it will be my first and last FX, the gun is so expensive and FX quality control is so bad. out from the box my unit leaks air out of the barrel. seems like the valve does not close properly, regulator 2 is lazy too. i was expecting everything to work for the money i paid for it. Now what is see with FX is all hype and money making thru accessories. ill be returning this unit. and thats that. This is my experience. Lucky are those that did not have this problem. Im going back to my trusted AGT Vulcan 700mm sluger.CHEAPER, simple reliable and accurate!

I have a question about barrels. Just wondering can I take the 700 mm barrel for my crown and switch it over to my impact 3 and just buy the kit for the different caliber. My impact is in 25 cal and the crown is in 22 cal. Didn't know if the barrels could be interchangeable. Any suggestions

Hi Matt, Firstly, great videos! I am looking at purchasing an FX Impact M3 BUT I do not hold a firearms certificate. I am after a sub 12ft lbs rifle and would like to know, with regards to my intended purchase, what I should be looking to get in my package. I understand that being sub 12ft lbs there is limited 'tuning BUT massive customisation to make it as individual as i want. I will be using it for target and hunting. I wanted to know which length barrel as i prefer .177 for the flatter trajectory. Being new to the FX product and influenced by your excellent videos, I will also be looking at Elements glass to top the rifle. I was looking to get the Nexus as I believe the glass should be heavily invested in as it is the most important part of the rifle. I look forward to any advice, help that you may be able to give me.

Any reason the slug power king in Australia doesn’t have a 30 cal adaptor and doesn’t seem to have an adaptor available? Will the probe work with 30 cal slugs without the sleeve.

Why can you not put a sling on the gun? I am receiving my first impact on Wednesday. Looking forward to it. Utah air is supposed to tune to 34 grain pellets at around 900 fps. Can’t wait to try it out.

I have a question. How do you remove, disassemble, replace standard.25cal 700mm m3 barrel sleeve and reassemble with carbon fiber sleeve, and reinstall barrel?? I'm forgot to have it installed at Utah airguns. I'm doing this on a extremely limited budget and can't afford to send it across the country to get it done. Waiting for my FX Impact .22 Compact from UA to arrive. Will follow your setup steps before shooting as I plan on shooting slugs. Going to order the slug kit and will need to order a tanto or tatsu since I did not choose to include the FX DonnyFL moderator/silencer. Will shoot it with the 300 cc bottle until I get a 300 bar bottle.

I do enjoy watching your videos your definitions and explanations of different things watching this particular video was also very informative. Please do not take this in anyway except for a person who is interested in the PCP who has some but not a lot of knowledge. I would like to see some thing you said you can’t do that is taken ethics M3 22 caliber 700 sniper out of the box put a modest scope on it a relatively inexpensive bipod may be a bag rider and start shooting it with pellets. The reason I would love to see this is majority of people who have spent over $2000 on this PCP unlimited budget can afford extra barrels all the bells and whistles etc. etc. to rack up another thousand plus dollars. I would like to see you or Air tac or mr. Gehard to do a simple video of the basic M3 out-of-the-box modest scope cheap bipod maybe a bag rider and turn it up to shoot pellets out to 75 maybe 100 yards. I truly believe this would help a great many new FX shooters to develop more into the sport than just having some videos with pure slug barrels high-end scopes the orca this the tripod mount that etc. everyone needs to start somewhere. And in my humble opinion I think you all have kind of forgotten the beginner to help them get into then launch forward into the FXM3. And in closing again I want to stress this is not a negative comment nor anything in a derogatory manner. Thank you for your time and reading this comment and hopefully a lot of positive benefits will come from it.

I would never want an airsoft gun or rifle if I’m gonna get a gun or rifle it’s gonna be the real thing because airsoft weapons you have to air up and you run out of air when you shoot so many times and then you got to fill up your tank with air in a regular gun or rifle all you have to do is put in the magazine and start shooting so like I say, I will never buy airsoft guns or rifles because all they are is basically like a paintball gun
why can't the out of box m3 shoot slugs from the superior liner barrel. Its an expensive gun, most people won't want to replace a barrel just to shoot slugs.
4:11 just casually throwing on a bipod and barely knows what it is....that´s a 350$ dollar bipod!
