The voile curtains are to stop bright sunlight from fading the upholstery too. Plus as you know give privacy during the day without closing curtains. You would be surprised how much damage is caused when the direct sun ☀️ on soft furnishing. ( eg Fading on fabric) What a lovely Motorhome! 😍
Phil who owns Wetherby Whaler owned the chlppy on Stutton Road in Tadcaster before buying the Whaler. They have now bought back the Stutton Road shop as an homage to where it all started
Interesting watching the fast forward sequence, the Voyager was rocking as you went in and out, the Kon-Tiki was solid, guess that shows your air suspension and how well it works.
I love Cooplands bakery, when i go to Mums house the train station is either Bridlington or Scarborough, well Cooplands have opened a Cafe right by the train station in Brid
Surprised there's no microwave, it's going to be interesting to see what manufacturers despec to keep the RRP down, such as that van with stick on screens. Everyone gets used to what their own van has, space, kitchen, bathroom etc, but for a few days whatever goes, thanks for the review
Was looking at one of these only today. I asked as to why it was 10k cheaper than the escape and apparently it's the chassis thats not any where near as good as the escape something to do with the position of the rear axle. More of a cheap basic entry level van.
They’re great vans. I’ve now driven 2 of these and I love the way they drive, so much easier to throw around than our motorhome, although I’ve not driven the Escape, but I wouldn’t rule these out on the Ford chassis until you’ve driven one Dan.
Interior screen are only good in the Summer and warmer Spring / Autumn UK days/nights, otherwise external thermal blinds are a must to retain the heat and eliminate condensation on the cab side and windscreen windows.
Glad you enjoying driving the ford. We have a spanish van on a ford and we love it. We also have the same blinds and we get a small amount of condensation only, but we are in Spain and not the Uk.
Another great video and sights of York. I knew you would like the ford. Fiats , peugeot and citroen are OK but transits are so light and smooth and drive like cars like you said. I won't have anything else ! 😊👍🍻
Brilliant video (as always) guys, really enjoyed it, looking forward to the Swift factory tour video, as we have just ordered a Swift Caerra 144 ( due this May) and would love to see where it is made 🙂 York is a fantastic place, just booked to go to the Rowntree Park at Christmas as my wife ( Debz) wants to go to the Christmas market. Do Swift do a lot of open days do you know? Would love a walk around the factory, take care, Trev
Do you think £250k for a 2 bedroomed waterfront York property is expensive? Here in grotty south London it's 300k for a one bedroom flat on a high street next door to a kebab shop! York sounds surprisingly cheap!
Brilliant video of York I have not been there for years I have been down the shambles but no idea what it's like now so it was nice seeing it again on your video the walk of the walls is nice you had a very nice motorhome you hired out thank you for a nice video lyndsay and steve
Nice Motorhome but I Still prefer my Beautiful Stunning Swift Bessacar 599 Hi-Syle 2018, 14,000mls ♥️ Being single & happy with plenty of room 👍🏻 I also built extra shelfs with a magnetic self adhesive strips to stop cans etc shifting 😄 Always Love Watching Your blogs 🙏
Very nice Motorhome, I think for that price a tv Ariel should be included also I would have fitted a flip up extension table next to the kitchen sink, but overall a great design, well done swift
great vid guy's and wow i use my oven every day and do a sunday roast every 2 week in my full time motorhome i might see you again at one of the show this year steve regards james
Really really love York! I’m a Yorkshire lass , with you for fish, chips, mushy peas and of course pot of tea and bread and butter lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Looking forward to your next vlog 👍👍xx
I preferred the nimbleness of the Ford to drive, but I fear if it was the size and weight of ours it wouldn’t drive the same. Also I find our Fiat front seats a little more comfy.
He does seem slightly and I mean a lot like he leaves all the prep to his wife and does all the spending on toys to him. That’s how it works for us too.
We live ten miles north of York lived there all our life we don't appreciate York really there is a lot to do there and plenty of history love the fish and chips we have take out most weekends kids love them😀👍
As always a great and informative video, but this time for us it was perfect cos we have placed an order for the new Voyager ours being the 594 model. We placed the order last September and hopefully our delivery date is March so anytime now . I believe you said that there is a full review by yourselves on the voyager coming soon , so looking forward to that . 👍
Glad you had a great time in the Yorkshire capital, yes we know only too well about the delays with Fiat, we have one on order since last May, originally due this month, but was told in October that it would be September, they didn’t say which year😱, when are you going to announce your summer tour? I do hope it’s Morocco 😎🐪🌞🗺
Our 1st motorhome was a Fiat. So noisy, could hardly hear ourselves talking. The noise hitting the potholes were terrible Last 2 motorhomes we've had are Ford & like you say, totally different & definitely drives more car like. Would never go back to a fiat. People have commented to us that they never hear it parking up on a pitch & are surprised its so quiet.
Good vlog guys been to York in our 2 berth auto sleeper nuevo best motorhomes on the market in my opinion biuld quality exceptional, each to there own I suppose the gowerz Portsmouth
You cant beat a Transit, how did it compare to the Fiat? lso the original Harry Ramsden's in Guisley is now a Weatherby Whaler, we take grandkids there regularly
A Ford would worry or put off alot of people as over the years we have all purchased a Ford me included just to see it rust away before my eyes never again
I would never purchase. Swift motorhome how they treated me when I bought a Swift Kon- Tiki 699 in 2016 at a cost of £85,700 and was nothing but problematic m. I Sold it in 2018 after only a 1000 miles use.

Thornfield is within walking distance of monks cross park and ride ! Very handy for getting to york centre from Huntington !
Yes! We spotted that!
Love the out takes at the end shows just how much work goes in to making the videos

Of course! That makes total sense. Thanks Poppy!
Thankyou for showcasing my home town. Glad you had a good time
We loved it!!!
I'm from York so I'm so glad you love it 😊. I do prefer living in the sunshine of the bassin d'archacon though 😃
I think it’s rained every time we been to York, so I completely understand your sentiment!

I think he used to be neighbours of my Grandparents when they lived in Tadcaster!

Interesting video. Looking forward to seeing how you got on with those twin beds.
The boys slept really well! We had the front bed.
Great video and I’ve been York few times and it’s amazing place
Just back from 3 days at York C&MC site at Rowntree Park. Our first visit. Barely scratched the surface. Lovely city.

Love York and your wonderful interesting vlog😊
Thanks so much! 😊
My grandad drove the mallard and the flying Scotsman and many other steam engines ,as we live in york he only had a 5 minute walk to work .
What a an amazing bit of history!!!

Thanks Trev. I don’t believe they do any open days but I understand from time to time they allow some of the Swift owners clubs to have a tour

Interesting did you prefer Ford or fiat front to drive ?

Also, have you ever tried, A Bedfordshire Clanger ? 😋 and I recommend A Ghost tour at night in York 👻👍🏻
No??? Sounds brilliant!
Nice van, but ye do need the extra space for your family
Yes, it was ok as we left Eddie at home. But for 5 it’s not really big enough.
He does seem slightly and I mean a lot like he leaves all the prep to his wife and does all the spending on toys to him. That’s how it works for us too.
Villa Maria. You guys need to come down to Aotearoa and tour round to try some more great NZ wines. We have some that leave VM in the shadows.
We absolutely do need to!!!! That is absolute bucket list trip!
Looked at this model of motorhome last week
Not bad very tempted

Don’t forget that there will be food restrictions when you go into an EU country this Summer if you intend to tour.
Are you referring to new food restrictions or the restrictions that came into place following brexit that we’ve adhered to for the past 2 years?

Yes! We go there sometimes when visiting Grandma in Ilkley!!
Nowadays, people watch/stream on their devices. TVs aren't necessary anymore.
Exactly!
We don’t, we watch tv
Hi
I thought that having a motor home meant you did not have the luxury of a car as well ! Unless. You tow a small car as well .
Yes, this is the first time we’ve had both vehicles. Lyndsay was already up’t’north visiting family so the car happened to be there.
A Ford would worry or put off alot of people as over the years we have all purchased a Ford me included just to see it rust away before my eyes never again
That’s a shame, this is definitely a van worth considering.
I have had fords for many years and its long since that they had rust problems. There was a time. Not now.
