I know this is an old video. But so is my Lexus😂. Thanks for posting this. I was trying to figure out how to get to that speaker. Who would’ve thought that I just had to take the whole rear of the interior apart to get to that. 🤷♂️😂
I used to have this car. Bought it new. Fully loaded ultra luxury package. Had the mark lev and it’s Stunning. The moonroof is apparently rare, glad I got it as well as you.
We need to all go and file a lawsuit against these Mark Levison speakers... I see forums of people w/the same problems. We could all get new speakers factory installed if we did...
for those that wanna replace the subwoofer w/ nav and 14 speaker Mark levinson- The sub runs at 6 ohms and 30w but if you have the 8 speaker system the sub is gonna be at 25 ohms x2 30w/30w (max 60w/60w)
Question for you,,, I have a 08 es350 and the diamond like plastic pieces have air bags behind it. Did you disconnect your battery before pulling those pieces out on both sides? I was worried id deploy the airbags pulling them out to get to the woofer. . Did you have to do all that?
thanks for the video. When you open the 4 screws holding the subboofer, does it then come off from the TOP or from the BOTTOM of the trunk? Is there anyway to remove it from the bottom ? I am looking at removing it completly, I travel a lot by car and it is always on the way on luggage...can fit 3 or 4 without it...
I don't know what you're crying about, but it obviously has every option except for a dumb spoiler your talking about. Go troll somewhere else and get a life.
Just got the exact car which was donated to a Charity, got it for a great price. Unfortunately the back speakers aren't working, and the rear windshield one is static.
@@Bradyjenk1234 Actually they were not electronically malfunctioning. The speaker cone detached and was rattling. I only discovered once I disassembled. I glued back into place and problem solved. Although all 3 had some tearing and wearing out of the cones.
Wow! We have the same car exactly-mine is a 2008 but the same system/color. I was told that I had to put Mark Levison speakers back in there because the system was digital. Please help me understand. I was told if I did not put the digital speakers back in, that the radio would not recognize after market speakers... Lexus quoted me $1800... I'm can't afford that at all...
I have the same car and everything is great it’s just when I hit the voice command there’s a rattling sound from that speaker. When I play my radio it’s smooth and fine but the voice command speakers rattles everytime. Is there a way I can fix it?
I have a 2012 es350 just got a month ago with the ultra luxury package in black. The day I got my car drove it home , on the way home I turned the volume up to 30... sound went out. does it every time then I have to turn the car off and back on to get sound... I was wondering what the problem was...
I have the same car and my volume button is not turning the volume up on the radio. Do u have any idea what could be causing this? If u could respond I would really appreciate it..
They deliberately design it that way so that the user can't replace it and you'll have to rely on a dealer who will spend hours and set you back obscene money not just for the woofer and labor but various hardware and brackets. Where I live no mechanic or car audio place will touch it and a dealer may not want to either but if they do they charge $1500 to $2000 or more for an 8 hour job at $150/hour. That is what I was quoted.

The stock Mark levinson woofer is crap anyway especially for it's hideous cost. There's not much response below 60 hz... just mainly upper bass and it's underdamped and boomy. And the replacement cost is is beyond obscene. Mark Levinson car audio has zero to do with ML high end home audio. They simply hijacked the name and stamped it on a mediocre car product and charged a fortune for it. It's really a Harman International (Harman Kardon) product. Big whoop. Far better to replace it with a custom job like this Pyle that sounds much better and costs far less.

Check the diagram. It's 2.5 ohms, not 25.

That is the plan for my 07 Lexus es350 only running a separate Skar 350 amp
& a 6.5" Scar sub leaving the armrest down for direct music.
“every option on this car” doesn’t even have the ducktail spoiler that comes with the luxury editions lmao.

Is that back panel hard to remove ? Do you know the sizes or types of speakers in the rest of the car. Mine are making rattling noises now

EducatedLady1975 just disconnect the subwoofer cable and u r good 😬
EducatedLady1975 They lied to you. The only thing that matters is the ohm rating of he speaker you replace it with.
All I want to do is unplug the factory subwoofer. I won't have any issues right, by unplugging the connector?
Did you find ur answer? I was thinking the same thing

hi Chris , I'm got same your sub problem but my car lexus es350 2010. do you think same way to take subwoofer out. thank you
It’s the same car, Sherlock. Just 3 years newer, the facelift was 2012.

Are you using an aftermarket amp or just stock?
Cris Ibarra Yes, I am using the stock amp.

HyJLi the sub in the back by the break light. Pop the top of the speaker cover to see if its blown. Same exact thing im going through.
Is it being run by the ML factory amp?

so you only need 1 sub woofer?
Is the original speaker svc or dvc
Is there a way to tell that easily? Do you have the ML system or standard?
Shoulda just put 2 15s in your trunk
Yo bro.. what is the positive and negative wires on the speaker? The green one or black one? Thx

The factory amp.....I can't find it
mjm4523 the amp is in the trunk on the passenger side under the panel.

Yes it is. Do some research.
