Thanks for watching. Cheers
Oh man...!! That is so purely played and bang-on to the original. A lot of players can't seem to get the rhythm timing down but you've got this dialed... including the solo tones too. Mad respect. Many many props.
you are 100% the best guitar teacher on you tube.PERIOD !!!!
This is got to be one of your best videos yet. The clarity of your playing is awesome as is your tone.
The right TONE is a beautiful fking thang!
The best lesson on the whole internet right here great job like always
0:38 love that riff
Just...wow. Such beautiful playing and the tone out of that gorgeous Les Paul...OMG.
Your dialed in perfectly on this ..Great Job! on this
Did it again! Awesome lesson. You learn a song and you learn to play correctly. Thank you so much it’s one of my favorites.
You nailed it all. the tone, the licks, that great riff!
you have so much soul in your playing
Great chord progression, solo, and licks, made better by your expert lesson. Thank you
Your rendition sounds spot on. Kudos!
That sounded excellent. Really great tone and playing.
Simply awesome jam. Love it.
I could listen to that all day.

That is just 2.20 of sheer class .... 'nuff said.
Absolutely spectacular!!!!
Just fantastic!
This is just amazing Andy. Your playing is great and your teaching methods are top notch. To me the best part of this video however is discovering the monster licks of Keith Scott. I guess with Bryan Adams songs its easy to get caught up in the rhythm and catchy hooks and not focus so much on what Keith was playing - this is crazy good.
Fantastic sound and lesson man.
could listen and learn all day
Great tune TY Andy👌🙏👍🎸
You are a superb guitarist
01:21 I've always loved the sound of that hammer on. Whenever I hear it, I recognize it immediately. I think most of Joe Walsh's Funk 49 rhythm revolves around that...
Totally agree!
Outstanding!
As usual Andy awesome.
thats brilliant as always... thx for that... Cheers 😎
Love it ...
Great sound.
As always, superb! Funny, the other day I was thinking how the lead guitarists tone, sounds saxophone-like.
That fat tone is insane!! Excellent tutorial 👍🎸🔥🤘
You a an amazing musician and guitar player, this cover blew my mind, man...!!! Super bit! :)
Killer tone and play
PERFECT!!!! VERY GOOD!!!
Great sound!
Fabulous!
Great guitarist 👍 thanks for your upload 👍🙏🐈
WOW PERFECT!!!!!!
Awesome!!
fantástico!!
Woah awesome
The tone and playing sound exact.
Dam this is awesome, keep up these great vids!!!!
loved this :)
Oh my goodness you completely nailed that huge sound I think that record was engineer by Bob Clearmountain and that entire CD just pops
Wow - nailed it! :)
Man...you are good.
Great Channel..Great Job!!
Wow - what an ass-kicker. Brilliantly executed, superb tone. Keith Scott'll be looking over his shoulder!
Big Reverb. Nice playing Barry.
Thanks for the insight on the song. I am a big fan of Keith Scott's, his taste , tone and restraint are impeccable. He always seems to play what's right for the song. There's another Canadian who gets overlooked Kim Mitchell who has chops up the wazoo. Anyway thanks again. 🤓🎸🎙
Oh yeah, Kim Mitchell is an excellent player! I saw him a few years ago, awesome band, with a really high level of musicianship. Peter Fredette can still belt it out too. cheers
Maybe for the next one do "Go for a Soda" Great tune and lots to work with in the song
I know guitar is mainly rhythm but man I still want to be able to play solos like you do.
Amazing ! thanks for that ;-)
perfect
best tutorials mate! I'd be very happy if you could do a tutorial of Sultans Of Swing cover by Andrea Valeri, all the best!
Mind is blown 🧠 💨
WOW! What more can i say
Holy shit dude this is awesome!! Wish I could play like you!
Both the lead and solo/riffs on this song were played using strats, and here you are with your Les Paul. I know you have a toggle switch that splits the coils - but still, your tone is dead on!
always love your playing and lessons, you have real feel!! do you play any Stevie Ray?
Fantastical as always!
Would you ever consider a rundown of your signal chain and effects? You just nail the tones, every time. Still using the Torpedo ? Thanks again for all you do!
Thanks Mark. Yeah, I love the Torpedo! I have it set to a Scumback 4X12 Marshall IR. I just leave it there 100% of the time because it sounds great to me. My setup is super simple. Guitar>Wah>CS3>tuner>Amp. Nova System in the loop. I'm just not a pedal kind of guy...the controls on the amp and the guitar, and using different pick attacks is pretty well all I use to get the sounds. What can I say, I'm old school! cheers
Andy
Dude, U Nailed the tone. Your attention to detail is why i come back. Who knew a Les Paul could be so versatile. Do you use coil splitting?
Thanks bud. Have you seen my gear page? www.shutupandplay.ca/gear.html
Dude!! You fucking rock brother!!! 🤘🏽🍻
Please, you gotta make videos in regards to effects you use when you teach these songs. like just tell us but show us. it help's a great deal more. I use a line 6 spider III 150watt amp. it has so many tones in it being a modeling amp, I don't know where to begin. I tinker with them all but I never can mimic a bands particular sound. I mean a little bit. but never exact like I see and hear people do. please help.
Dead balls-on perfect!
My friend how can I get your rhythm tracks?
That's all!
Awesome,👍have you tabbed it?
Muy bien!
This is actually bryan adams. It must be. Its that good.
Andy! I have been obsessed with the playing and tones from Cuts Like a Knife and Reckless for more than 30 years. I just recently learned something about Keith's gear that explained a longtime mystery for me: Premiere Guitar did a rig rundown video for Bon Jovi's band and, in it, John Shanks explains that Keith Scott's Strats, generally speaking, have a reverse wound middle pickup, which basically turns those back two pickups into a huge humbucker. He explains it at the 28:51 mark in the video (th-cam.com/video/_aOQJUY5BKY/w-d-xo.html). I had always wondered how Keith could be in that #2 Strat position (which I've always thought of as the quintessential quacky-Sweet Home Alabama sound) and get such a thick sound. Now, mystery solved!
Now that is cool! cheers
Stanley Culler thanks for sharing that! Awesome
You are quite welcome, friend.

Contact me here for more info on that: shutupandplay.ca
Are you sure it wasn't you who played it on the record ???
Jonh Lennon have a music in the beatles with the same name album HELP!
You are able to replicate the sound of just about anybody with this Les Paul. I assume you tune your guitar for each artist as appropriate and I could do the same with my Straticastor? I don't need to sound like Mick Mars or Bryan Adams per say, but if my guitar is not capable of sounding substantially similar I don't want to try to force it to be that way if this makes any sense to you.
You do so little Bowie. Are you less a fan of his?
So cool but l can play like that
When I watch you play, I realize just how sad & lifeless my vibrato is...
If it makes you feel any better, vibrato is the thing I've worked on the most over the years. I still have a lot of room for improvement, but it's definitely something you have to work on... a lot, well at least I do! cheers
Andy
Who else is watching this after Tina Turner passed away?
Perfectamundo …
Wow!
