When I became athiest I more understand my Malay culture better and other that's what our old Malay nusantara culture to open hand for other races and religion and be moderate in everything. Put humanity 1st others last. As Malay decended in Malaysia and as apostate Malaya. Malaysia land is belong to you as well Harita. You born here this is your land and this where you die. You are not pendatang you are land right owner that is Malaysia. This land is not belong to Malay Islam it's belong to all that born and serve for this land. If anyone say pendatang ask them to refer Encik Murtad Melayu Malaysia.

@@mohdfairuz4367 In all honesty, I grew up in the 80's with my parents even earlier back in the 60's in Malaysia, what I perceive Malay culture was Malay culture like Baju Kebaya, Baju Kurung and Joget. The Malay culture was so free, simple and elegant. I really don't know what happened and why Malays are associating themselves with Arabs/Islamic rather than Malays culture in fact that's your true culture. Thank you.

If u r not aware, the process for a Muslim to renounce Islam is the same 😅n Singapore, u are asked to undergo counselling and only then can u renounce. U must remember Singapore too runs 2 sets of laws, however the shariah law that is officially recognised in Singapore concerns the marital relationships amongst Muslims in Singapore. According to Shariah, a person that leaves Islam has to be killed for leaving the faith, this is the SOP in Shariah and thank God this is not so in Singapore & Malaysia.

Among them there are several of my friends. Actually the Sri Vijaya Empire was moved to the central Philippines now known as the Visayan (Vijaya) Islands or simply Visayas. Fairuz was right about Malaysia's pre-islamic history, heritage, culture & identity that it used to be Hindu-Buddhist state just like the Visayan kingdoms before Christianity was introduced in 1521. That's why some of our words in our Cebuano language has a slight similarities with the Malay language including food, customs & traditions, the only difference was that the Visayan tribes refused to accept Islam because the Muslim tribes from Mindanao constantly attacked the Visayan tribes & they never surrender to the demands of these tribes instead they fought against them to make sure they will never spread Islam.

@@protocetus499 well you are the one who is wrong, Sri Vijaya Empire was attacked by the Majapahit Empire an emerging powerhouse neighbour in Sumatra because they want to rule SE Asia, but the remnants of SVE quickly moved out & sailed in the east now known as the Philippine Islands. They settled in the middle of the archipelago now known as the Visayas, Raja Lumay or Sri Lumay was actually a Tamil prince born in Sumatra serving the Cholas in Indonesia, during that time he was given a task to look for other islands to expand the Chola empire but he revolted & established his own, the Cholas were furious & wanted to attack his little empire but it was too late because the Majapahit took over Sumatra & his tribe was forced to move out & look for other islands to settle. During his time he did not know that the Magalos (muslim tribes) from Mindanao are attacking other tribes in the islands & the Rajahnate of Cebu experienced this for the first time & so Raja Lumay passed the Scorched Earth policy, meaning everytime the Muslims will attack they will burn the place so that the Muslims will not step on the island & that is where the name of Sugbo came from.

I am disturbed, I visited Malaysia a dozen times since 1983, and i like the poeple and its friendliness. At that time the atmosphere was quite different, and things started to change with the increasing influence of saudia arabia (oilmoney, etc.). Islam (religion) is and was used unfortunately by the political class to keep the power, including the openly positive discrimination of bumiputra, on religious and racial grounds.
I sincerly hope that with the next election, a new government will emerge which is guided by the observation of human rights, fight against corruption and sincere democratic principles. Resistance is high within the ruling political class composed by corrupted malays. I think however that the malays (in opposition) have started to recognise the problem.

And I feel much blessed although as a minority, we don't have many privileges like they do. But I would never trade my beliefs for a more comfortable place in society. Other ethnic groups are free to worship as they choose, but not Malays. On a visit in the 1990s, I was very surprised to see the changes toward Middle Eastern Islam. hi Fairuz, if u dont mind me asking, I want to ask u:
(Pardon my English/grammar its not my first language)
      1. Do u believe there is one God out there? (Ofcos not Allah). I mean like Jesus, Shiva, etc.
      2. I'm curious, do Muslim in Malaysia really leaving Islam? Is it in a huge number?
      3. Are you interested in Christianity? Or in Jesus teaching?
      4. What u think about Christianity teachings? (This one I'm really curious). Any disagree abt Jesus teaching?
      5. Can u help me prove that Islam teaching is false and Muhammad is a fake prophet, Allah is not the God.
This is my view of Islam. (From what I read and what I see)
      - Some Christian and Islam comparing.
In Islam, they claimed Jesus is not the son of God, and the God. But just a prophet (normal human being). Ok but if U read Quran & Bible, both of the book claimed Jesus live with sinless life. Then, how can Jesus is not the God? How can a man who live with sinless live cannot be a God? Even Allah himself told to "slay all non believers wherever you find them" (Quran 2:191) see? How cruel. Second, Allah loves war, (Quran 9:123). Just like Islam claimed. Allah is the God. But he live with Sins. And a normal human like Jesus live with sinless life. Isn't that shock u?
As what I believe in Christianity, Jesus promised his people that there is no more other prophets after he rised up in the heaven. Shock again? Tq.
Muhammad doesn't have miracle. Its because Jesus is the first and the last there is no other.
Yahweh, Trinity, Allah. Lets compare them.
Yahweh who Judaism believe is a God. Trinity, The father, son, and holy spirit. Let's talk about the FATHER that Jesus claimed there is Father in heaven. If Allah is the God. Why he mocked the nation of Israel? Meanwhile, Father claimed that Israel is the choosen nation. As u can see Allah and the FATHER is the different person. Allah does not accept ppl of Israel. So what abt Yahweh? Yahweh and Jesus is the same person. Then who is the Messiah? Jesus himself. That's why Judaism are waiting for the Messiah. But they do not accept him. Meanwhile, Christianity are waiting for his second coming.
Jesus also claim he is the first and the last (REVELATION 21:6-7)

Islam is not the totally the problem per se. It's Political Islam sometimes referred to Islamic-fascism which is the actual problem.. No thanks to Wahabbi cult like ideologies from Saudi Barbari'.
Just like the Church which has so much of power and influence over the population during the middle ages.Throughout history religion has been used as a political tool.
The ruling class knowing the power and control religions authorities have over the masses knew that it will be mutually beneficial to both parties to work hand glove. It happened during the time of Christ where the then Jewish religious authorities worked in cahoots with the Roman ruling class in Jerusalem at that time to prosecute and kill Jesus because Jesus was destabilizing the power base and status quo of the Jewish religious authorities. It happened during and after the discovery of America by Columbus. The Church with the help of the Spanish King brought in the Jesuits in the pretext of bringing Christianity to the natives but in actual fact to plunder the gold of the Incas. Even in Europe the Church had been working together with the ruling class to keep the commoners subjugated and servile.
The same method has been used by the Arabs during the period after the death of Muhammad to conquer North Africa ie Egypt, Libya and Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco. North Africans are not Arabs but Coptic Egyptians, Berbers, Phonecians, Assyrians etc and were forced to convert through the power of the sword. Either you become Muslim or you die. Islam went as far as to Spain but the Catholics in Spain did not want none of draconian rules of shariah laws and the Muslim Moors was driven back to Morocco. Most Muslim seem to be proud of the fact that Islam went into Europe, but at what costs? Many were slaughtered because they refused to give up their Catholic faith.
It's quite obvious that religion was or is still being used as a tool for political expansion, control and subjugation. The same thing applies to the government of Malaysia which is working hand and glove with the Islamic religious authorities to garner more power and control over the majority population ie the Malays. Why? Because they are the majority vote bank and they need to be constantly influenced, brainwashed, indoctrinated , subjugated and controlled by using fear mongering, misinformation and disinformation and such apostasy laws makes that possible. So people like Zakir Naik are given protection by the Malaysian authorities from being extradited to India by people like Mahathir. Naik was to be used by the powers that be to keep the masses indoctrinated and fearful of non Muslims ie the kafirs with his divisive talks with the blessings of the Wahabbi cult in Saudi Barbaria who have a certain expansionist agenda. Remember the oil in that country will not last for long. All this is done in the name of Allah just to maintain the status quo and to garner as much power and wealth as possible. I believe the same modus operandi is being used in most Muslim countries such as Saudi 'Barbaria', Pakistan and Iran, mainly to keep the populace in check, clueless, submissive, subservient and fearful through the use of barbaric and uncivilized laws such as public beheadings and stoning. So much for the United Nations Human Rights agreements. How hypocritical is that?!
So, if Malay Muslims in Malaysia renounce their faith there is a danger that many will follow suit and that itself is a threat to the status quo's power base in Malaysia. That's why the National Islamic religious department [JAKIM] was given a budget of a billion Malaysian Ringgit to ensure that that does not happen. Even in the US the Republican religious left and the evangelicals have so much of influence in America and there too they are being brainwashed or indoctrinated by fear mongering by white supremists as well. How does one explain the racism towards blacks and other minorities there anyway?
Basically, democracy is weakened when people live in fear, because of religious indoctrination and divisive political rhethorics. People become fearful and distrustful of other races or religions and when bigotry and racism reigns supreme. It's the politicians who are the winners because they thrive on the divide and rule strategy. If the people are united they'd lose their relevance and power. Basically it's a Machiavellian strategy by the book because absolute power corrupts absolutely and fear is a powerful tool in the hands of tyrants.
To quote, " When people are afraid of the government there will be tyranny but when the government fears the people there will be liberty and justice".

You are correct. I would agree by individual arguments. However the miss use of religion is of different matter. It is purely human thing! It has nothing to do with the religious teaching (except of one I know about) so you are mixing two unrelated matters to justify your point. That is a problem. It is misleading to say at least.

  • @akiraikura

The reason why most Malaysian or Asian Muslims didn't wanna discuss or answer any questions pertaining to the religion is because, majority of em' don't really have the answer. The don't understand the spiritual element, there is no devotion but purely obligation. So the best way is to forbid the muslims to ask questions regarding the Quran or Hadith.
