Thank you. I just replaced my SX260 lens. Without this guide the project would probably have ended in a failure. Some additional suggestions: - Use professional quality screwdrivers. Cheap ones will easily slip and damage the screws. - Keep very good track of each screw. Record in sequence what you unscrewed and what kind of screw it was (there are like 5 different sorts). Best number each screw you remove. In my case I lost one screw and a couple of others I did not know at reassembly if it needed to be long, short or very short. Fortunately the camera still works ;-)
Well I got the replacement lens unit in a working but now the screen isn't working. Seems the back light is out and yet the plug for that is plugged in. Could it have went out because of the repair?
Tried this. Problem I had: Typical lense jam, accidently dropt on dirt from around 40-70cm. Lense jammed and said the problem note everytime tries to open the camera. If I remember right, lense tried to move abit when opened camera. Problem after checked gears/ made them on right place: So I opened case wheres gears, but them popped out/went out so I'm not sure, were they already badly there. Anyways, got them right place and assembled camera. Now when I try to open camera, it doesent say any message, and doesent try to open lense. It also haves some weird sound, sounds like it doesent come from speakers. This doesent repeat, until I take battery out and back. Also green light beside LCD is on like 1-2 seconds. What I think is something is blugged abit badly. Another thing is something with power. I used over 3 hours on that, gotta try it later when I got time. What you people think this means?
My camera sx260 hs, when I turn on camera show message "Lens error, Will automatic shutdown, reset camera" Lens (darting into). Please guide me repair it. Thanks!
I turned it on after a lens replacement and all i get is a green flashing light and nothing else I did disconnect the battery so it will be reset but what does that means

;)) This is a "nerve wracking operation", my camera has dust inside the lens...
Do you have a repair manual for that? Can you share?

i Have a canon sx610 and when i turn it on in a couple of sec the lcd turns off cant figure it out
