    Decay is such an improvement now; it's dropped from a 30.55% chance of death to 18.75% (ignoring regen), and your chances of getting away with just a Badly Hurt go up from 25% to 31.25%.
    You've actually got a higher chance of a permanent injury, (up from 25% to 31.25%) but previously the only perm that wasn't an automatic firing was -AG, a 1/8 chance (so 21.88% total). Now Niggling injuries have changed and both -AG and -PA are meaningless to a Tomb Guardian; if a Niggle isn't an automatic fire then you only have an 8.3% chance of catastrophe.
    So now the 'dead or fired' total has dropped from 52.4% to 27%. They're nearly twice as survivable at no extra cost.

      Permanent injury odds increase is because permanent injury is more likely for everyone.
      Even with mngs, decay was punitive - 3/4 chance of not being available next game was brutal.

    I think a potential build for the throwers is Block then saving for a stat. These guys will score a lot of the TDs so they should be getting decent SPP for it. In my online games I have a Movement 7 Thrower and something about that extra square really opens up some new opportunities.
    Obviously if you get +AG you should take it since it helps with picking up the ball, dodging, and even gives you a decent receiver.
    I've never gotten a S4 thrower but I can't imagine it would be bad...

      Ok, now we're talking Stephen! To be honest once they've got Block (unless you're in need of the RRs) they're in a great spot to save up! Fail case of MA7 is pretty great!

      Very good option indeed.
      After Block there aren't any top tier skills and getting +MA is strictly better than On the Ball for ball movement, yet if you can combine them, it's even better!

      Agree on stat for thro ra. I also like on the ball and leader as choices, but hitting on a stat will make the team sing.

    I was a little bit surprised that you didn't start out with MB on all the Tomb Guardians. But that's only for longer leagues. Mighty Blow is the only way to get a second skill on those Tomb Guardians before the next edition of Blood Bowl lands.
    But they are indeed very much useful with Guard on them. So I could see getting a random Strength roll on them just to hope to get lucky. There are 2 S tier skills with MB and Guard, 3 1st tier Skills with Stand Firm, Grab and Brawler, 2nd Tier are Juggernaut, Break Tackle and Multiple Block, because you can make them work. I only see Arm Bar and Dauntless to be the useless skills out of 11 possible. So 5/11 good skills isn't bad with only 2/11 really wasted skills. Worth a gamble, no? And if you get S Tier, you can allow yourself to gamble again on the next TG skill!
    And this is why I don't like the random skills, they can snowball out of control on some high rolls. Which puts another random element in the long term development. Because there are also low rolls it might be a polarizing aspect of table too league play.

    This may have been explained in a previous video so forgive me if so...but based upon the re roll part of the video, does it still add to TV after 150K gold? Will definitely help with my team progression decisions

    • @hampuskullberg9932
      @hampuskullberg9932 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      RR's add 70k to TV for TK. They do however cost double that after the season starts. So your TV will be the same no matter when you buy your rerolls but they will cost more gold if they are not bought at the start :)

    Diving catch on blitzers and accurate gives you 2+/3+ for quick passes... Just saying, don't try it ;)
    However, stacking skelletons deep in the opponents zone and HMP is an old Khemri plan c. Enough skeletons and it will bounce and give you a good shot at multiple 5+ rolls for the pick up ^^

    • @BoneheadPodcast

      Hahaha, two top tier alternate tactics here :D

      @@BoneheadPodcast pretty much anything could qualify for that. If you don't out bash your opponent you gotta pray that you roll a lot of sixes ^^

    I agree with everything.... Except I would never take Frenzy on a Tomb Guardian :/ But apart from that, ur spot on :)

      Hehe, but... TK need a Minotaur 😉😁

      Agree with almost all. Good stuff. Although I don't think I'd see a bunch of skeletons with Guard as a good thing - way too expensive (unless it was all randomly rolled through pure luck XD). I can't imagine ever putting Defensive on a Tomb Guardian, but I appreciate the idea. I think the only thing stopping me going to random Strength quickly on Tomb Guardians is the imperative to get Guard (to sustain your only team advantage vs things like Black Orcs and anyone really) and probably Block and Mighty Blow too. There is an argument for Break Tackle on Blitzers as, even though it only gives them that +1, it could plug a gap in your team for blitzing and scoring. Strip Ball still could be useful on the Blitzer.

    Iv always wanted a khemri team...them and the lizardmen are so hard to come by online.

      Ahhh I think GW will drop a Khemri team this year, *and* Punga and Vortice's will both be out too! It's a good year to get sandy haha

      Punga's Khemri team is soooo sexy. I am going to try and snag a set.

    I would say that they're proof that only a third of the teams are allowed to do deep ball offense even with the passing rules emphasizing the passing game.

    • @BoneheadPodcast
      @BoneheadPodcast  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like the way they've kind of enabled players to take the dangerous route and build a throwing thrower!

    • @Demolitiondude
      @Demolitiondude 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      But if anyone is following traditional playbooks ie the meta, it's either or. Not both.

    • @mikefoster6018
      @mikefoster6018 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BoneheadPodcast Yeah. People say the team shouldn't do a throwing game because it's slow and un-agile. But, at the same time, that's also an argument FOR a throwing game as you're unlikely to score easily from just ballrunning. Catching on 4+ isn't vastly different than 3+ (it's still 75% successful with a reroll). I definitely think I'd be considering throwing at various points. We'll find out soon, as I'm painting my Tomb Guardians at the moment.

  • @deckerCKY
    @deckerCKY 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Disagree on saving for block on guardians....no block no mb means it will take forever to get 12 spp.
    Random strength is solid enough (2 skills by 7 spp is likely to have one solid and one meh skill).
    If you're choosing, take your pick of guard/brawler/mighty blow, in your order of preference.

    • @hampuskullberg9932
      @hampuskullberg9932 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That probably is better for league and for online, wouldn't you take a random S/G as first still to keep TV down and fire if it isn't a jackpot anyway? ^^

  • @davidbowman2501
    @davidbowman2501 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is another team, like Norse and Amazons, that shouldn't even have a thrower. They should just be calling them a runner and have 3+ AG and 4+ PA.

    Haven't even started the video yet. First thought: This should be interesting. The changes in SPP should pose interesting options for Khemri.
