depends on the ranking. there is always a certain bias but there is no doubt that the countries on the better place are better than something like Afghanistan, North Korea etc... subjective/ideological are rankings which dont care about neutral facts but has stupid criterions like 'i am from there and therefor it is the best' low IQ criterion.

I've read more than once about Taiwan and it's quality of living. Because so many countries and their media kiss China's behind, Taiwan comes across as a backwater, because if no one talks about it, it must be. I started following Taiwan big time when COVID started. TH-cam and web sites. Because they were doing fantastic with it when few others were. What sealed it for me as a great place was when their health minister Chen Shih-chung cried when the 6th or 7th person died from COVID. He took it as a personal failing.

So, of course this ranking is also based on data - one can see that with a bit of KNOWLEDGE how such countries are ranked in the different known rankings (economic rankings, human rights, human development index, crime rate, index of economic freedom, freedom of speech, democratic index, transparency international corruption index, literacy/education, safety and so on. there could be some changes in the ranking, some countries a bit higher, others lower but in the end of the day its not an absurd or 'highly subjective' ranking. thats often a projection from ppl who themself are 'highly subjective' ....

Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them). Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI). Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy. Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. As a Sri Lankan, I have to say that even though it did hurt hearing the description about our country, it is completely true. Our country used to be the model country in South Asia, still is to some extent. But like in the 2020s, the country has gone down the drain. Although things have improved since the end of 2022, it's gonna take a long time to achieve the prime status we used to have. And yes, for locals, the cost of living is pretty much a pain in the neck. Also, when we did gain independence in 1948, Sri Lanka was literally the envy of Asia, with one of the highest incomes in Asia back then. The problem wasn't really democracy, but rather the BS racism that started with the "Sinhala Only Act" of 1956 (look it up). In addition, any kind of solution that would've solved the racialism was pretty much retracted thanks to opposition from some Sinhalese Buddhists back in the 50s and onwards. Still this is seen in the country. (Also before some of y'all judge me, I am also a Sinhala Buddhist as well)

As a Kazakh 🇰🇿,i am actually happy with ranking.I thought it would be hard to get in top 20, however we got 17 place,which is quite good among 48 Asian countries.We still need more free speech and democracy.Corruption is also one of the main problems in our country.With the rich mineral resources and pretty small population we have,we could have done it even better.We have to get rid of our current corrupt government,+ we have to develop our own kazakh language,as its not spoken and not used as much as r*ssian

Its very sad to see the amount of people suffering in several Middle Eastern countries due to a lot of bad things happening there. I've met so many people from the Middle East in my home city of Melbourne, Australia, especially in my school, and they have told my class they were forced to leave their countries due to wars, and many came here to Australia, the states with the most Arabs are Victoria and NSW, the former of the two where I live.

Yes it is very sad to see middle eastern citizens having to flee from there country and then not getting respect in France and most other countries in the west ( I am French and I am from Quebec) so we see a lot of racism against middle eastern citizens. @@jackybeck2479 I also agree. I have been to several middle eastern countries, and also to Pakistan (about 10 times). I totally agree with everything that has been said on Pakistan in this video. And I hate Pakistan for many of those reasons. Still, as a European non islamic woman, I never had any problems there, and always felt very safe. In the rare cases, when a man was getting too agressive towards me, I never needed to ask for help - there was always another man there, stepping in and making sure that I was okay, and escorted me back to my accommodation if necessary. Also, I have never been in a country, where I have experienced better hospitability. I have been invited so many times into peoples homes, for a fantastic meal, without any intentions - just out of hospitability, and those people where mostly living in very simple conditions.
Singapore,Japan, Taiwan as well as Cyprus and south Korea proudly leading the whole Asia and they aren’t even oil rich. Malaysia is heading in the right direction and the united Arab of emirates has just wow people globally with their progress. Then as a whole Asia they have a rich heritage and resourceful green country like Thailand that is absolutely beautiful. However, because of highly political corruption which is a shameful system that pretty much has dragged down the rankings of the country achievements unnecessarily. This goes the same for multi diversity Turkey where East meets West, or the paradise of the Philippines. Had there been less corruption, great location country such as this would have easily replaced many lesser of freedoms in human rights that is currently in top ten circles best country. We can think about other problems as long as we humans can live without fear of being killed everyday The next important things would be hunger and food issue because its directly related to our lives. After securing those 2 problems we can talk about education, freedom ,good healthcare and infrastructure.

The problem with these statistics and yours is that you do not consider the social. Saudi and a number of countries are wonderful to live in like Saudi - but for those who work in the country the matter is very different - This problem applies in many of these countries and it is often a minority who can enjoy the prosperity and not the people - because they are just guests in the country they live in.

Disagree with Singapore being number1 as a local. Dying to get out of this hellhole anyday. Looks good from the outside, but not so if you really live and work here for 10-30 years as a low to middle-low income group. The city has the highest cost of living in the world, and buying power is low. Most of our money are trapped in necessities like expensive LEASED housings. expensive healthcare and higher educations. If you fail in your career, there is no village, no rural area to go to to live cheaply. This is a 40km wide city island and you are stuck here forever. It will take a few thousand words to explain why this is not number 1. Last but not least, corruptions is not just monetary corruptions. Abuse of power, conflict of interest, nepotism etc are other kinds of corruption frequent in first world countries, and we have no lack of it. You mentioned people being tortured in those dictatorship countries. We have something else first world style, and that is being sue until pants drop from abuse of power with a kangaroo court. From the outside, the country definitely looks fine. Try to live and work here in the lower income group. Those oil countries are the real number 1s.

I now live in JB, normally get 2 visits from my SG friends in a month. During fruit season, my weekends are always spent at my village, some 1.5 hrs away entertaining friends who want to experience self picking durian from under the tree and/or climbing other fruit trees.

I've read more than once about Taiwan and it's quality of living. Because so many countries and their media kiss China's behind, Taiwan comes across as a backwater, because if no one talks about it, it must be. I started following Taiwan big time when COVID started. TH-cam and web sites. Because they were doing fantastic with it when few others were. What sealed it for me as a great place was when their health minister Chen Shih-chung cried when the 6th or 7th person died from COVID. He took it as a personal failing.

As a Sri Lankan, I have to say that even though it did hurt hearing the description about our country, it is completely true. Our country used to be the model country in South Asia, still is to some extent. But like in the 2020s, the country has gone down the drain. Although things have improved since the end of 2022, it's gonna take a long time to achieve the prime status we used to have. And yes, for locals, the cost of living is pretty much a pain in the neck.
Also, when we did gain independence in 1948, Sri Lanka was literally the envy of Asia, with one of the highest incomes in Asia back then. The problem wasn't really democracy, but rather the BS racism that started with the "Sinhala Only Act" of 1956 (look it up). In addition, any kind of solution that would've solved the racialism was pretty much retracted thanks to opposition from some Sinhalese Buddhists back in the 50s and onwards. Still this is seen in the country.
(Also before some of y'all judge me, I am also a Sinhala Buddhist as well)

Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI).

And I hate Pakistan for many of those reasons. Still, as a European non islamic woman, I never had any problems there, and always felt very safe. In the rare cases, when a man was getting too agressive towards me, I never needed to ask for help - there was always another man there, stepping in and making sure that I was okay, and escorted me back to my accommodation if necessary. Also, I have never been in a country, where I have experienced better hospitability. I have been invited so many times into peoples homes, for a fantastic meal, without any intentions - just out of hospitability, and those people where mostly living in very simple conditions.

Singapore,Japan, Taiwan as well as Cyprus and south Korea proudly leading the whole Asia and they aren’t even oil rich. Malaysia is heading in the right direction and the united Arab of emirates has just wow people globally with their progress. Then as a whole Asia they have a rich heritage and resourceful green country like Thailand that is absolutely beautiful. However, because of highly political corruption which is a shameful system that pretty much has dragged down the rankings of the country achievements unnecessarily.
This goes the same for multi diversity Turkey where East meets West, or the paradise of the Philippines. Had there been less corruption, great location country such as this would have easily replaced many lesser of freedoms in human rights that is currently in top ten circles best country.
As for the rest, will just have to wait and see. At the end of the day country like china and India are the ones that play the most important economies impact within the region.
So far it just shows that the blessings of being oil rich, or a place where i2 full of gas and natural resources still coming in behind only as a second place. These country can’t yet be putting into competition with the nation who have powerful mind from talented Human Resources. Whether from Singapore, Japan, Taiwan or South Korean, theirs innovation snd model used has proved to be a good example that other countries could really learn of and apply what would be a suitable adaptive advantage for themselves.

I like Malaysia mostly for the diversity of history, culture and food, and the night markets. Georgetown on Penang is my favorite place in Malaysia, but I also like KL a lot.

Islam is an arabic word that means the Surrender to the One and Only God, our Creator, Protector, Provider, who gives us life and all that we have, we are safe and sound by his will and grace, we are His and to Him we return, and we have to thank him in this trial life by submitting to him by our free will, or later in the Day of judgment when it's too late to save our own skin. Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them).
Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.
Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).
Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning!
Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.
Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement.
It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them.

Disagree with Singapore being number1 as a local. Dying to get out of this hellhole anyday. Looks good from the outside, but not so if you really live and work here for 10-30 years as a low to middle-low income group. The city has the highest cost of living in the world, and buying power is low. Most of our money are trapped in necessities like expensive LEASED housings. expensive healthcare and higher educations. If you fail in your career, there is no village, no rural area to go to to live cheaply. This is a 40km wide city island and you are stuck here forever. It will take a few thousand words to explain why this is not number 1.
Last but not least, corruptions is not just monetary corruptions. Abuse of power, conflict of interest, nepotism etc are other kinds of corruption frequent in first world countries, and we have no lack of it. You mentioned people being tortured in those dictatorship countries. We have something else first world style, and that is being sue until pants drop from abuse of power with a kangaroo court. From the outside, the country definitely looks fine. Try to live and work here in the lower income group. Those oil countries are the real number 1s.
Your friendly neighbour at no.13 is just a causeway apart. I had once worked and lived in Singapore, it was a harsh life down there, many are crying deep inside. I now live in JB, normally get 2 visits from my SG friends in a month. During fruit season, my weekends are always spent at my village, some 1.5 hrs away entertaining friends who want to experience self picking durian from under the tree and/or climbing other fruit trees.
