Not sarcasm, just surprised at the generalization. I am a Nigerian with sensitive skin. In my house, we don't use gloves (rough and coarse), but soft wash cloth.
And my husband (also a Nigerian) doesn't use sponge until we got married and I introduced him to wash cloth and chemical/physical exfoliant.
To each his own.

Salicilic acid body soap once a week
In our Village we use with plain stone
to scrub our body and i know it feel different

Ghanaian here, we use our bathing sponges which is hard right from childhood and we are fine 🤣
i been exfoliating with coarse gloves since i was baby nothing happens , same for other people in my country .
That is why I make friends with the barista at the nearest coffee joint and ask for leftover espresso. I made a coffee scrub with it. Just add some honey and extra virgin cocunt oil.

exactly. theres no way ppl see the dead skin and think just leave it there.
When using a new glove to scrub my body, I apply soap on it so that it's not rough on my skin. However, avoid over exfoliating, especially in the same spots, as it leaves temporary marks on skin.
I have a question.. Umm, Do I need to wash my body with soap after exfoliating or before exfoliating???
@@Not_Stephanie_8 in my country we use two type of soaps, one before exfoliating called "sabon beldi" it's not intense, and after exfoliating we use regular soap. You genuinely do whatever you like 😅.
Btw, If you feel your skin tingling when applying soap, right after exfoliating with a glove, that could be a sign of overexfoliating.

Last month I had my entire body scrubbed with those gloves for the first time in my 19 years of living, and it caused some scratchy irritations
May I ask if you did it while your skin was wet, or was it dry? If your skin was wet, did you give your skin time to soak a loosen up in the water before using it?

Aloe is soothing, healing and moisturising. To some extent it also lightens skin. Vaseline is an occlusive. It traps in the moisture applied before it. It is solely for moisturising and protection.
I use my gloves daily. Time to cut back.

I use petroleum jelly everyday and I mix it with glycerine + tissue oil on my body.which in my case leads to the development of dead skin cells quickly 😢. So I exfoliate my skin everyday using the exfoliation gloves and smooth rock 🪨. Is it a bad idea to exfoliate after using oils on my skin 🤷🏽♀️!?

After that I apply very gfnerous amounts of Baby oil and Massage it in with a currycomb. For a couple of minutes, till my blood circulation increase shows by my skin turning Red.
I also strongly believe it will prevent me from getting wobbly when older.
My skin is flawless and super duper soft and glowy.
