The two colors in your Ranunculus are AMAZING! Great combination! I love all your projects. I always enjoy your podcasts so much, you always make my day happier ❤
Megha - thanks for sharing some of your background and work. Sounds very interesting. Love how fearless you are with colors and learning new techniques. Your enthusiasm is inspiring.
I always enjoy seeing your new videos pop up. The unexpected color combo for the ranunculus really works. That’s something I wouldn’t have thought to do. Makes me a little braver to try new colors together. I have 5 cats and your comment about bringing up responsible cats and keeping them from killing each other made me laugh. It’s so true!
Happy Birthday week Megha!! What a delightful coincidence that the yarn crawl falls during this week: BIRTHDAY BONANZA indeed!! 🎉 I learned a lot during this video - thanks for answering my question! I worked in a pen assembling factory around the age of 19 or 20.. THAT was my worst job. It motivated me to get my education and do well in college that’s for sure. Your unexpected Ranunculus is such a perfect blend … that dusty purple colour is amazing. LBJ demo was also great! Happy making!!
Hi Megha :) I love the "good sweater game" comment for Baljeet 😆And when you showed your WYS Exquisite yarn, I thought, "Oh my goodness! Our heart colors are the same!!!" 💕 That's my forever color, too. Hope you have a great couple days of sewing at the end of your work project!
Such a great episode Megha! I loved hearing about your career and knitting journey. Your 'Most Unexpected Ranunculus ' is stunning!! And the Rose Apothecary shirt made me smile 😊. Waving hello from 🇨🇦
the ranunculus - mind blown. Your new yarn has me drooling. the Aran sweater is going to be stunning i have a couple done but struggling with what to do -- fix existing sweaters or cast on a new one. The struggle is real. Thank you for the visit.
I love your career background. I used to work in a steel mill in Fairless Hills, PA but not on a scientific level They made steel pipe and I was in quality control. I loved it except for the 3 rotating shifts. It doesn't sound like much of a job but it entailed so many interesting aspects of examining the quality of the pipes. To knitting: Love your podcasts and your projects. In particular that you have so many things going at the same time. That's me.
Oh wow !! That is awesome! I mean QC is quite important if you ask me 😄 Thank you so much for watching!! I really try hard to be monogamous but it never works 😂😂
Entertaining and delightful as always thanks. I’m very intrigued by the Donner sweater you’re planning with this absolutely gorgeous new yarn you bought. Have to look into that as I have some beautiful red yarn in my stash which would be perfect.
Another fun, beautiful video! Thank you for sharing your knitting. I love your color choices and pattern choices. Enjoy the yarn crawl, it sounds wonderful!
Thank you Megha, I’m grateful for your time, it is inspiring. Your sweater for your husband is very beautiful. Your Ranunculus … totally amazing. It is right out of the neon and neutral book inspiration! I agree wearing colors that match your skin tone gets strange. Sometimes I have purchased a beige color online and then it is too warm or cool in person for my liking. I am just starting a pattern from Neon and Neutral book with a beige mixed with a green s much fun! It is too bad about your mothers travel delays. It takes mental preparation to make that long flight and then to add 28 hours… The good news is we also forget as time passes… maybe… forget might be wrong… the memory softens.
I’d love to hear what dresses you’re planning to sew! I’d like to start sewing again, as I’ll be retiring TOMORROW! Thanks for sharing about yourself and your knitting! Always inspiring ❤
Oh wow!!! Happy retirement!! I will definitely share my sewing as well. I have made multiples of the upton dress by Cashmerette. I also have hinterland dresses. I want a better fitting hinterland style dress with the faux button placket in the front. I need to figure out how to do this 😂
Hello from Mounds, Illinois. Your Mom was great, so sorry that her flight was delayed. I am glad that she had a great visit and a safe flight home. I just crocheted four baby blankets, I used Caron Baby Cakes, two were for my twin great-granddaughters, one was for my great niece, and one for my friend grandson. I am getting ready to knit two blankets for my great- nieces for their college dorm rooms. I am also knitting the Noni top, from “Pip & Pin” I am just about ready for the ribbing and bind off.
I love the color of your Unexpected Ranunculus sweater! And how cool is it that the cabled cardigan test knit will be knit with yarn purchased at your first Rhinebeck festival. One more thing...Keep up the good work of raising upstanding feline citizens!
Hi Megha, I’ve been watching your podcasts for a little while, but I really appreciated your question and answer section at the beginning of this video! I was happy to learn that you currently live in Pittsburgh PA. I grew up near there and my daughter lives in Oakmont, just outside of Pittsburgh. Have you ever gone to Yarns By Design yarn store in Oakmont? I love going there when I visit my daughter, Laura. Thank you for sharing
I work in Buffalo and live in Hamburg! Did you have a local yarn store? Mine closed and I miss knit nights so much. Thank goodness for ravelry, pod casts, Rhinebeck…. Too bad you moved away before I discovered your podcast! My dad was a chemical engineer for a steel company so I am familiar with blast furnaces!
Oh wow!! I lived in Depew and my office was in Tonawanda ☺️ there was a store on main street (can’t remember the name) which I visited a few times but honestly I didn’t like the store much. Ahh yes, I think I heard about the store in Hamburg closing. I agree, ravelry, podcasts have made it so much easier to make knitting friends ❤️
@@skeinsofdreamsknits I have gone to the store on Main Street. I think it is called have ewe any wool but I did not care for it. I loved embraceable ewe in Hamburg but she closed. I also loved Elmwood yarns but she closed too. I seem to have no problem acquiring yarn from on line sources or fiber festivals!
I've been wanting to make the Donner pattern for the longest time too. She is currently having a Donner KAL on her Ravelry site Blue Bee Studio. It ends September 1st. (Not that you need to start another WIP, lol)
Your podcast always arrive just when I most need them! I do have a test knitting question: do you have any tips on being selected to test knit? Do you think a beautiful Ravelry and Instagram feed is crucial?
Hello!! Thank you so much for watching!! I don’t think you need a curated Ravelry or Instgram. But, it helps to have clear pictures of you wearing a garment or an accessory. This helps designers know that you will be able to share finished object pictures (also need a public account for this). This also helps other knitters see how the garment/ knitted item looks when it’s worn!
Probably too late, but, could you make the second baby blanket using crochet instead? So, the two blankets would be different, but the same....only quicker this time 😊
That. Ranunculus. Is. Everything! 🤩 Wow! Thanks for a wonderful episode. It’s always fun to spend an hour catching up with you!
Thank you so much ☺️
The two colors in your Ranunculus are AMAZING! Great combination! I love all your projects. I always enjoy your podcasts so much, you always make my day happier ❤
Aww thanks a lot Katie!!
Thank you for showing us all your wonderful knits. They are beautiful for sure. I wish I lived close to you. You are an inspiration to me. ❣️
Thank you so much!

Also just saw this little logo at the end!! How did I miss it?! So cute!!! 😻😻
