Holdens of that era didn't have leather upholstery on the inside: it was vinyl on the insides of the doors and on the seats. The panel van has a Holden Statesman (GM-H's "luxury" car) nose cone. Many customised Holden panel vans of that era did.
The mural on the right is some type of space scene. The film production crew couldn’t afford to buy the vehicle on the spot and had to pay it off with instalments during filming and this also meant they couldn’t afford to finish airbrushing of the mural on the left. So in the movie you only see a glimpse of the left hand side.
