You know in the alt mode you can pull people toward you with the stab. Same damage and everything in alt mode it just switches the negative knock back to the stab and regular knock back to the swing. Default grip makes you pull people on swings but not stabs.
Personally, it entirely depends on who's online. One match I typically get a killstreak of 10, the next some players from the duel gamemode move in and steamroll us.

I too use 2/3/0! 2 helmet is enough to block all but the maul from one shooting you, 3 chest to tank, and I use the Nordic cloak to hide that I have no legs since they’re rarely hit. I use double medikit since I’m the clan medic/someone needs to do it, and rat to super exploit the 0 leg armor and flank people. You’re a legend and have a new subscriber.
I also love to slash with the billhook as thanks to the curved heads you can get around shields and hook shoulders and it still counts as a hit. Of course, ruining the day of horse users is also an added bonus!
Great gameplay as usual. However, I wanted to choke your character so he would shut up! I see people doing this all the time. Just spamming voice lines over and over and over and over. It drives me up the wall. Now, I appreciate a good laugh over a corpse of a defeated enemy. That's just psychological warfare :)

I’m studying this video so I can become good like you! I’m rank 70 and still trying lol. And I’ve noticed you flanked several times. This is why rat with zero leg is amazing. Clean first shot. Also love not having crappy music in the background. You talking over it would have been fine but I’m studying this like a battle plan lol.
honestly man i'm brand new to using billyhook I just prefer to target switch and if a chamber last too long then chamber feint to switch or go for a chamber feint to some kind of drag/accel. thanks for your kind words and good luck at becoming a better player! cheers lad
I find it epic we both use the Nordic skirt and I think we both have the same idea. It covers most of the legs so it’s hard to see quickly what kind of leg armor you’re wearing if someone is fighting you. Use baggy pants and dye them dark grey and they may think you have tier 1 hosen or more! I mean, I love the Nordic cloak look as well, but I think I’ve noticed people not aiming there precisely because of that. How dare we use tactical camouflage!

So update. After using the billhook I got the most kills I ever had. In the following game I was warden for the first time, granted the team sucked but it was an improvement
Barely broke 20 kills yesterday, went 20-10 as an archer. It has been my best game so far lol, I suck compared to this dude. 3-4 other archers kept shooting from the last bridge while we were defending Taiga, I just kept getting headshots on them lol.

Billhook doesn't get much love from the community. See, not very glamorous weapon it is :) But it's like a...medium spear, you know?) A good long stabby stabstick between short spear and a long spear. Also has better cutting potential than both.
IMO its much better off its a shitstain for my recording sepecially. If you want to read chat you can just hit enter. Not easily offended just find it a lot better with it off
Hey man to answer you question. The alt mode and standard mode only differ in thier knock back values. The alt mode stabs pull the target in. When 1vX switches play a factor I find that for most situations orther than stabbing a horse rider I prefer to knock them further so that I dont get surrounded. And having the standard modes drags pull them in for Exe. I typically only use drags when the engagement is going on for lobger than I'd like and pullibg them in to combo wit a stab is nice. Both modes are completely feasable
People Complain about rapier and its stab 'spamming'. This Madlad took down the enemy team almost 4 times over with a billhook. Which no one complains about. Ironic!

I also love how we both use the same billhook shaft and blade. Lol. Cause it looks reinforced and tough. Curious if you’re so stab heavy why not use the estoc since it’s much lighter on stamina use? Cause the slash is basically useless and drains almost no stamina? Curious!
if you are going to drag more than you stab i wouldn't recommend using either billhook or estoc. I use billhook in a way that compliments my loadout, bloodlust makes you much more survivable along with bandages and a heavily armored upper body. if you drag more than stab consider using a more balanced weapon or a purely drag heavy weapon.
Why billhook? Isn't it one of the worst weapons in the game? 25 damage to lvl 3 is reallyyyy low. Is it the length + animations being fast vs bad players (for headshots)?

It destroys light targets and typically kills in 2-3 if im connecting with med/heavier targets. Its just feels really nice to use as well the windup animations are very natural and non obstructive.

Seeing all these vids make it looks like mordhau is a lot easier servers that are not asian. Mordhau in asia is dying and most people who play it there are experienced.
