@@Lazyguy2112 - I agree. However, I think Crenshaw has some genuine scruples, unlike Cruz. Crenshaw also seems smarter than Cruz. You’re right though: Crenshaw was just looking for sound bites. Crenshaw knows that China is communist in name only. Yes, the Chinese government plays a huge role in the Chinese economy, but the Chinese economy is clearly profit-driven (capitalist), and Crenshaw knows this. Crenshaw is pandering to Republicans who think China is an old-school communist regime, so he says the word “communist” as often as possible.
Also, Crenshaw knows that our government has pretty easy access to personal online information. I suspect that our privacy “safeguards” are pretty flimsy. He’s right that China has no privacy protections whatsoever, but it really boils down to China’s access to “private” information on TikTok. I think the idea that American TikTok is safe from Chinese government snooping is ridiculous.

Without the Injustice of unjust lockdowns unjust mandates censoring bullying coordinating Biden wouldn't be in the white house he knows it they all know what they admitted it their consciences made them admitted. They know thank God people have rejected their ideologies and agenda which is why they're resorting to dirty tactics. Which is why they are using women and children at the border to create a voter base of illegals which is why they're bribing them they're desperate it's honestly really sad you're so desperate for a title the so desperate for their agenda that they're resorting to all the failed ideologies of failed regimes throughout history. may God wake people up that it's not worth it to go to hell for biden's current ideology and agenda if he repents and bears fruit where they repented then you can praise God then you can pray that he keeps on doing the right thing until then people have a biblical duty to go against Biden and his wayward corrupt regime!!

First off, TikTok in my opinion and personal experience has been significantly more detrimental than any and all other social media that existed prior to TikTok. On top of that, the concern is that the CCP is actively and directly profiting off of it. Not necessarily saying it’s better in my opinion for US companies to do the same thing, but in the eyes of the government the CCP is the real enemy in this issue.
When tiktok came about, social media was very much on a downward spiral, it was starting to die. Kids had less and less interest in Instagram because of how blatant their abuse of their users is whether direct or indirect, Facebook had been basically coined as an old person app, nobody with a net worth less than a million bucks actually gives a shit about Twitter, really the only viable thing left was Snapchat. TikTok changed all of that, it’s done infinitely more damage to our society in its short lifetime and it continues to as we speak. It’s also extremely difficult to turn off. I have never, ever seen someone sucked into social media the way people have been with tiktok. Hours upon hours upon hours of mind numbing short videos and nobody can turn it off. When it was just Facebook and Instagram, you might see someone scroll for a couple of hours at a time on a bad day, nowadays seeing someone spend several hours a day on tiktok is commonplace. Tiktok has been and always will be the worst thing to happen to social media in this decade. I don’t see how anything could be worse.

Many of them have difficulty understanding that Wi-Fi exists. Now I understand why the infrastructure in the US is 50 years behind Europe - but at the same time it is sad that a country like the US really cannot have up-and-coming people in government. Do they sit there until they die? Stop harassing China - you have the same thing yourself - a number of apps that we in Europe use. That apps in general should not be part of a country's government through telecommunications goes without saying - but normal people and young people want Tik Tok and everything else - precisely because it represents the free part of the world.
