Great video man, but dang that sauna is way too steep of a price. In my opinion they missed an opportunity to bring an affordable traditional sauna to the masses.
I have the Huum drop 9kw in my sauna I built. It is a beast of a stove and heats to 200 in 30-40 mins. It puts off great steam and a nice heat. That being said , when I purchased mine I did not know it was not ULV rated ( I think I said that right) in the states. That means if your house burns and they determine it was because of this heater , insurance will not pay for it. That is a big problem! Also by the looks of your video they have not corrected the heat deflector issue. Huum sent me an element and heat deflector upgrade. The elements in the drop are bad to burn out. The kit will prevent that. They sent a larger heat deflector because the one in your video is not sufficient and can cause charring and or burning on the walls . Just google Huum Drop problems and you will find Info about all this.
Of course I order a Plunge XL 2 days before you show this sneak peak.... I can only hope its way more expensive than the prior generation otherwise I've got a serious case of FOMO. lol!
@@DavidMausJrdo you know how much? 👀. I’m leaving for training for my job for a couple of months and was contemplating purchasing the Plunge, to have it ready when I get back. But, if the price is right, I may hold off and buy this 🙏
Thanks! Both are awesome! Really depends on budget and placement preference. All in had no additional components to consider, XL has an exposed chiller. That’s up to you! Both are top notch!
Since the outside of the new plunge is the same/similar dimensions as the plunge XL, and because the chiller, pump and all are now built into that same outside dimensions internal body, wouldn’t it have less space and water volume compared to the plunge XL? And your video, it looks more difficult when you dipped whole body compared to the ease of dipping into plunge XL. Your knees were actually protruding out of the water when you dipped which does not happen with the plunge XL.
They were able to put most of the system in a very small space making for a very comfortable setup but yes I felt like there was slightly less room than in the plunge XL, however in the short time my knees came out of the water it is not killing the stimulus of being under the cold water for 2-3+ minutes. Good call though!
@@DavidMausJr thanks, I love taking my first 2-3 minutes feet to shoulders in. Then I do 3 intervals of submerging my whole body and head for 20 second intervals holding breath. Love releasing heat in my head while submerged, so good for facial skin too. I’m about to get my 3rd plunge (love trying as many as I can because I find it fascinating) and I think I’m going to go with XL instead of the new one. Not as pretty, but I love whole body under. I’m a lot like you, though, I have the ice barrel, and there is no better under cold water experience than the actual ice barrel due to the shape of the barrel at 6’ and 200lbs. It’s just such an awesome barrel to dunk in. So my last purchase is between cold plunge XL and ice barrel (with chiller added DYI). Anyway, I love your videos and your contribution to all of us, it is so helpful and so interesting. Thank you for doing this! 👍💪
Take your filter, throw it in the trash we can sit in the landfill for 1000 years.. a friend of mine’s loaded he has every toy imaginable in his trash bins are full every week of boxes and garbage that he stopped using years ago. 😂And I’m supposed to worry about my straw. 😂
You know what, i sat in both and even got to use them more when i visited the Plunge factory and never felt a difference in temp. I like the top row more because of the slanted backrest, very comfortable.
The door is too tall - you are letting all the air out every time you open the door. The water pools on the floor. Why isn't it sloped? The ceiling is sloped the wrong way. The hot point is always at the high point so you are directing the hot air away from the user. If you want a proper sauna design, hit us up.
David? I have to confirm a claim you made in this video. Great job, but are you really suggesting that the heater can keep this unit from freezing? We have one of the original units. The intent is that the new unit will be out side in super cold temps. Does the manufacturer stand by this comment? If so, it is perfect! We will order three!
Plunge is offering a special $150 discount to my subscribers who use discount code "DMAUSJR" and this link: plunge.com/dmausjr
Thanks David! It links to the older original model? Is this new all-in model forthcoming? You said it doesn’t replace the existing model?
Plunge needed this upgrade. They were looking like a high end DIY. Thanks for the review !
No problem!
Great video man, but dang that sauna is way too steep of a price. In my opinion they missed an opportunity to bring an affordable traditional sauna to the masses.
It’s super sick but yea I agree
Looks so nice and very compact. Been looking for one like this!
Glad you like it!

Good call. Have to look into this.
Heve fun with customer support if something goes wrong.
Another great video thank you David :)
My pleasure!
How quickly will it heat up? Maybe if it's 50 degrees for example, how long to get to 170?
Thanks for the info!
Any time!
I want that drip pan
Its super sick
Erghhh. My plunge is coming in today and they announce the new one!
The plunge is great and the new one will be quite a bit more money. No worries my friend!

For real! This thing is super cool, but the good thing is it won’t be replacing the current plunge. It will be the premium option and will be more $

Nice! @@georgefarrell32 I dont know the exact price but I heard around $9k
So, which do you like better? Plunge All In, or Plunge XL? And why? Good video.

You might have uploaded this video earlier that they wanted you to . I don't see an offer for their new plunge on their site 😅
It’s launching mid October. They said it’s cool to post it 😋
Does your $150 off code apply to the plunge all in one and sauna combo?
it should! if you use this link dmjr.co/plunge is should automatically take the discount off for you :)

What is the flooring situation in the sauna? Vinyl?
All wood. High quality. They had mats inside them

lol. Good points. (Why I use a stainless steel strainer on my DIY setups. No trash)

For real!
Does the sauna hold up in the rain? I live in Washington and it rains 9 months out of the year.
So well! It was made for the outside elements
@@DavidMausJr thanks brother
I don’t see the “all in” plunge on their website. Can you share the cost of this new design?
Launching mid October 🤙🏽
With the high ceilings did it feel hotter on the top row vs the bottom row?

Who makes the stepping pad featured in the video near the plunge?
Plunge will be, this is a super sneaky peek at whats coming :)
How tall are you? Trying to see if i fit
6’1”
Do you work for Plunge? FYI filter is still to small.
Nope! lol but they like my content and have me review their stuff. Which filter?
Does the tub drain at all? Let’s say there’s a mess that goes beyond the filter, how do you empty it?
That is a great question and I did not see that. I will find out before these are launched.
Great, please let me know! Considering 2 purchasing for a big project in Miami Beach
@@gabrielladavis9094 Yes there will be a drain to drain the Plunge inside you will need to take the side vent off to acsess
Where we buy that Basin at?
It is made my Plunge and hope to see it launched at the end of the month
What’s the pricing on the new plunge?
Not set yet but i heard around $9k
Yes, NOTHING about the "All In" on the plunge website.
Launching late October. Getting a sneak preview here first 🤫

$10k?!? 😳 I’m out. Looking for more budget friendly, not “hey, kids, we’re gonna rice and bean it for the next 5 years.
Haha! I review a lot of the cold plunges, lots of cheaper options too. Check those videos out 👌🏽
