We moved to bratenahl on Lakeshore Boulevard in 1963. I was three years old we moved from Pittsburgh and shortly after we moved that's when the riots started. My parents did not feel safe. Our house was a tudor it was beautiful We had huge iron gates at the front with brick walls all the way around the property and a very long driveway. the size of a Marriott LOL well after two years we moved to Rocky River. Completely different bubble. In recent years I spent time with friends at the shoreby club which is very nice. Now I live in Naples. Wish I would have moved down here decades ago
I just started watching your videos. I moved to Las Vegas from Milan, Ohio 24 years ago. You brought back great memories of Milan and all of the lake communities that we went to. Thank you. We visit my kids in Sandusky in the SUMMERTIME. 😂
I grew up in "44108" off of E.105th on Morison Ave. We are certain that the mansion used on the intro to the 1960-63 TV show Route 66 is on the north (lake side) of Lake Shore Blvd. It's the stone one that sits a waaaaaay back with the circular drive way.
It’s really sad that the school district is so bad for those who can’t afford to send their kids to private school. It’s true depending on which street you go down it looks like two different worlds. That’s Cleveland for you.
I have to say that I came here for work about a year ago from Illinois and to be honest the houses around here are trash. Westlake is supposed to be one of the most affluent suburbs and the houses are like small, fairly old, not very appealing. I saw houses that were mansions in small farming villages and other rural locations in comparison to these ramshackled bungalos.
That’s funny you ask because I thought the same thing! In fact, we had a sales meeting at the condos in Bratenahl and I asked. It sounds like most of the residents shop in Cleveland Heights. I would probably shop at the West Sode Market and Daves Grocery on West 25. Thanks for watching!!
I do know someone who owns a few properties here in Cleveland and in Westlake and he has stated on several occasions of how he'd like to come off his properties as they are so much of a hassle. I will mention to him about you Patty.
Lady, you gotta get it together and get rid of that cutsie kitch on the background wall. And don’t admit you live on the west side and that east side taxes are high. WOW.

Thanks for watching…I’m also ready to move south…we spent February in Marathon and fell in love.
Hello, I love watching Videos of Cleveland, OH. Ironically, I’m from Long Island, NY and I would love to visit Cleveland, OH one day.
Please do!
Kayla we would love for you to visit.
I moved here from NYC. My blood pressure must’ve dropped 50 points! It’s just an easier lifestyle.
My favorite east side places are south Euclid and Richmond Hieghts maple hieghts is ok 👍 I really love the South Euclid library beautiful Building
They used to be a golf course near the high-rise next to the freeway

You may be right!!

Where do people do their grocery shopping and things of that sort in that area?

So Lakeland it is I gotta go or maybe even Akron Ohio.
Yes do not make a right off Eddy Rd 😂😂😂
West Cleveland new money
East Cleveland (not EC) old money
And stop talking about HOAs. And stop talking about schools. Bratenahl people will have to uber their kids to private schools daily
