    Well that rules out blue collar factory workers, tradesmen and service workers. These are all enclaves for the rich business and professional class. In the old days, communities are mixed, now everyone lives in disconnected enclaves, ghettos and gated communities.

    • @DAISYROSE22
      @DAISYROSE22 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I don't even think they're "business class." Maybe 30 years ago. Today? More likely government employees and/or those dependent upon government funding, like medical institutions. A few years ago the growth of jobs in Ohio was directly related to the expansion of state government jobs. And the state is run by Republicans. Go figure.

      Thats their fault man. Look at you and your entire family. Did they do the things necessary to live in a gated community? What about the ghetto? You get what you give in life. Gotta cut corners. Do what you gotta do to get and have what you want so if people are living in gated communities or the ghetto or whatever the hell you're saying it's on them it's their fault.
      I live in the hood. Why? Bc I was a addict who wanted to party and do hella dumb shit. Now I'm 26 getting my life together had to go back to high school you know? I'm lucky to even have a place with how I lived my life. So I mean again you get what you give and this comes from me

    In the description is says we spend our time at the hockey hall of fame and the Cincinnati Zoo. I think they meant the rock and roll hall of fame or the Football hall of fame. The Hockey hall of fame is in Toronto. And the Columbus zoo is the best zoo Jack Hanna runs it. The best places to live in Ohio are the Townships. Where you can make 40,000 a year and own a house and acres of land.

    • @DAISYROSE22
      @DAISYROSE22 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's accurate: The best places are the townships. The property taxes on those high priced "medium house values" are a drag on one's disposable income, too.

      Agree Townships are best to live in. Live within walking distance to the Football Hall of Fame. It is located within Canton city but reside in a township. It is walking distance to be in the city or township side. Different police and fire departments. With that said Canton Ohio is not listed or any city/town within Stark County. Canton city sucks (lived there). Roads are disgraceful and every day and night sirens. Only certain neighborhoods close to townships are better but my experience is City of Canton doesn't do a good enough job taking care of Canton city to be normal/safe. Upside is Stark County specifically is listed in Almanac one of the Safest places to live in the U.S. in regards to natural disaster's. That all my life seems to be true.

    The best place on your list is Dublin. Grove City beats the rest of the places on your list, with Dublin being alittle bigger and better. So if you want to be in central Ohio, my top two picks are Dublin or Grove City. If you like a big lake, then go north from there to Vermilion if you buy a house, or to Lorain if your looking for public housing. There's a large beach inside of one of the nicest parks you'll ever see. Southern Ohio is a gamble no matter where you go, but I'd say South Point because it puts you right in the middle of the tri state area with decent sized cities in two other states with a short drive.

    The monotonous background music to this video is cheesy and annoying. What would be another variable to know about these locations is: What line of work/profession, etc. are the majority of these people (median household income) in that can afford these high-priced homes? The best places to live are in the southwestern part of the state and central area, not NE Ohio. Never NE Ohio! Notice there was just two places near Cleveland on that list: Rocky River and Pepper Pike Yep, there's a reason for that.

    Not impressed with this list at all. The robot narrator can't pronounce Cleveland right and really messed up with the number names, e. g. $1700 was 10 hundred and 17 dollars or something like that. And Lake Erie sounded like Lake Airy. Drove me nuts hearing some of that. Also made it sound like a tourist ad for Columbus. Also sounds like you better be highly educated with a high income to move any where on the list. Average people don't sound welcome anywhere. Average people are set for poverty in these cities. My rating for this video will be close to a 3 but the images illustrating the areas might raise the overall to a 5.

    • @mayavenuemisfit814
      @mayavenuemisfit814 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, there are. I would recommend the Youngstown area to anyone looking to move to Ohio.
      I probably wouldn't live in many areas of the city itself, but almost all of the suburbs are decent places to live and are far more affordable than any of the overpriced cookie-cutters outside of the bigger cities.
      You have Mill Creek Park, which in my opinion is probably one of the most beautiful urban parks in the entire country, you have Youngstown State University and its sports teams, there are three large retail strips (Boardman, Austintown, and the Eastwood Mall area in Trumbull County just north of YO), you can take the kids to "OH WOW!" children's museum, and you also have the Youngstown Phantoms hockey team and Mahoning Valley Scrappers baseball team. If you're into fishing and the outdoors, you're a short drive from places like Pymatuning and Mosquito Lake (among others).
      As for what suburb or area to pick, it really depends on your income and your personal preference. If you're into the blue-collar vibe, Struthers and Hubbard are good places to consider. If you want decent suburban living but don't want to spend a buttload of money, Austintown and Boardman might be for you. And finally, if it's in your budget and you want a REALLY nice place, I would definitely consider Canfield and Poland. Even for being probably the "richest" Youngstown suburb, Canfield is still far more affordable than any of the Columbus or Cleveland suburbs. As far as the city of Youngstown itself, most of it is pretty rough, but there are some really nice areas, such as the far southwest side of the city in the Cornersburg area.
      There are also really nice areas in Trumbull and Columbiana County as well that are reasonable commuting distance to Youngstown.
      I know most of what people perceive Youngstown to be is what they see on the internet and the news, and most of the time people only associate the city with the bad things that go on there. But there truly are a lot of positive things going on in the Youngstown area, that unfortunately people are still skittish to experience because of everything they've seen or heard from people who have never lived in the area and have probably only visited a couple of times and put it on a TH-cam video. My advice is to go, drive around, and see it for yourself.

      I regret getting married in Columbus, now I have family here, its pure hell (except for my family) If it was not for the family I would be long gone. There is nothing here except for corrupt politicians and business and lots of gun violence, bad weather, jobs sucks (though they are trying to bring big companies by giving them tax breaks and over charging the local Ohioans in extreme property taxes to subside big business in the hopes of creating more jobs.... Lets see where this goes, over taxation of citizens will cause population decline and extreme poverty

    Completely hyped and paid for advertisement. I live in Ohio and cannot wait to get the hell out of here. Almost all my jobs for the past 30 years have been outside of Ohio. Thank god for remote jobs. So lets break it down, The multiple cities at the beginning are all subs of Columbus, Columbus is turning out to be one of the most violent city in Ohio with daily gun violence nearing to 5+ and murder rate of at least 2 per day yet the City reports it as less then 100/year. If one just watch the news one can see the daily murder count of 2 +/day (Not sure if they skew it by the localities within the city or how to fudge the numbers but the number are totally skewed) the Subs that were talked about are very expansive. Houses start at 500K+ and the property taxes are out of control with average 500K = 18K+/year Taxes in general are high but hey we get tax free fast food though. If you can afford to live in the subs then you have enough money to not commit crimes. But Dublin is known to have a heroin problem so does other subs. By the way the only job I had in Columbus was the lowest paying job ever (I am IT). The weather sucks, The road sucks, Most musicians avoid playing in Columbus, Cant go to nigh clubs without risking getting shot at, Most every service oriented companies in Columbus are scams. Auto repairs & HVAC companies are the worst, Roads sucks, Most area schools sucks even with high property taxes, These are my personal; opinions based upon the fact I live in Ohio but have worked in every state other then Hawaii , Ohio is on the bottom of my list.. Unfortunately I have family else I would be long gone from this hell whole. Working on finding a way out.

      Do you live on East Hudson street? It's not that bad here. Of course, it is better if you can live in Upper Arlington, but Columbus is a good city to live in.
