My cousin, in the 80s, came out to me at our grandfather's funeral when we went outside for a smoke together. We were in our early 20s. I gave him a huge hug and told him I had always assumed he was, but I loved him no matter what and gave him a hug. Him and I were close. He begged me to keep his secret and I did. 2 years later he was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic and still had not told his family, since my aunt and uncle were pretty religious. He didn't even tell his sister. 5 years later he was so tormented inside that he blew his head off with a shotgun. I've carried such heartbreak and guilt for not pressing him to tell his parents. I caved and told them after he died and my uncle said he always knew but didn't want to embarrass him and had hoped he would just tell them. He also said "I loved my son no matter who he was attracted to, and I accepted that when I figured it out, and now I'm haunted for not talking to him about it". That was a huge burden lifted off me, but then my sweet aunt and uncle carried the burden of his death for years. No one should ever have to go through such mental anguish and torment as my cousin endured. I hope this boy went on to have a far better adulthood. 😢

@@ProjectCreativityGuy96 Thank you! My cousin was so incredibly loved in our family and yet he was so disillusioned to thinking he would've been cast out. I know there's alot of screwed up people who can't seem to accept who their children are born attracted to. It's genetics, not a choice, and yet those same parents can't accept science, yet believe in a deity they've never even met in the flesh. You know...the invisible sky wizard?! If people were never force-fed the religious nonense to begin with, this world would be way more accepting of indifference. I've never been so disappointed in humanity, more so with the self righteous zealots who think they know all because their imaginary god told them so....in a book, that men wrote. smh 😒

I will write a logical chain step-by-step to prove that H is not a medical norm (I will write H instead of the full word, because youtube likes to ban comments around this topic). Try to find any mistake (if there are of course) without going offtopic or calling me a phobe etc.
      1) Function of sexual orientation developed during evolution as a mechanism that encourages individuals to mate with opposite sex.
      2) Mating with opposite sex sooner or later ends up with reproduction, which is one of the main fuctions of living organism.
      3) Het helps individuals reproduce, so it's a normal state of function. H, Ped, Zoo, Nec, etc. lead towards mating with individuals that cannot end up with reproduction, and it makes the individual go extinct, so it's not a medical norm.
It's also important to notice that:
      A) During random mutations even healthy parents can have children with some disorders. And usually populations have an average % for each disorder. This fact is good to know for people who say that some animals have H too, thus it's "normal". This is appeal to nature fallacy. Animals also have cardiovascular diseases, cancer, etc, which doesn't make them a medical norm.
      B) No one chooses what disorders to have, and it's not alright to bully someone for having dysfunctions in any system.
      C) The fact that currently H is removed from ICD, doesn't mean it's not an illness. Just like saying that scientists 50 years ago claimed it to be a disorder is not an argument. This is called appeal to authority fallacy.

@@Ali-yh9qithings like this still happen in the present day. I have a diagnosis of ME/CFS. My case was handed from physicians to psychiatry. I was denied tests because they’d perpetuate false illness beliefs. I was refused admittance to hospital for a failing GI system, unless I agreed to be admitted as a psych patient. Several years later, after nearly losing my life three times, two stints in intensive care, developing seizures, needing a central line for TPN feeding, I’m finally vindicated - but I’m fighting for my life with out of control EDS, MCAS and GI failure. And the problem is I’m a very, very long way from being an isolated case.

@@paolodesiato9497 I will write a logical chain step-by-step to prove that H is not a medical norm. Try to find any mistake (if there are of course) without going offtopic or calling me a phobe etc. No one has succeeded yet.

Unfortunately most people are close to illiteracy these days. It’s not valued by this generation (past 2 or 3 generations really), and when someone is found to be able to speak and articulate their ideas well it is seen as unique. So many people (including myself) are retarded these days, we are too focused on gender identity and how comfortable we are instead of denying ourselves and learning how to become respected and competent human beings. Life doesn’t care about your pronouns or how uncomfortable it makes you feel, it will keep coming after you, but until this society collapses we will continue being a bunch of sissies, and once it does collapse, then we will see what each of us are made of. Most of us will die, at least those who have an inkling of morality. Are you surprised that that is what I said? This country will be made into a place where machines do our bidding but only as long as we submit to our governors. The anti Christ along with the beast. We will be killed if we don’t agree to submit.

Not the "main" diagnosis, the differential diagnosis. A differential diagnosis is just a collection of possible diagnoses in accordance with the symptoms the patient is experiencing. They're saying that a possible cause of his schizophrenic symptoms is his sexual preference (quite a leap, but hey, it has some precedence in other things). Your point still stands, but it isn't the main one, it's just one of supposedly several.

I will write a logical chain step-by-step to prove that H is not a medical norm. Try to find any mistake (if there are of course) without going offtopic or calling me a phobe etc. No one has succeeded yet.
