🐓 Homemade chicken broth without chemicals: This is the best way to prepare it!

  • I show you how I make my own chicken broth. Without any chemicals or any additives, super easy and, above all, long-lasting! Great for cooking soups or just for drinking. In order to achieve the very best quality of homemade chicken broth, it is best to use regional organic products - but of course this is not a must. After watching this video, you will no longer want to buy chicken broth from the supermarket because this variant is many times healthier.

      @lottatroublemaker6130 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      The stems are the best part of the broccoli! I peel it, cut it up and eat it. The peel and leaves though, goes in my broth/stock bag in my freezer, where I save all peels, onion skins, corn cobs etc. and when it’s full, I make broth. So great with more or less free broth! Gotta love that! And - Yummy! 🤗

    This is what I've done for decades, but I put it in the blender while it's still cooking to make it smooth, cook till it's thick and dehydrate a bit in the oven before freezing. Pretty much the same I just blend earlier in the process. It's so handy to have.

      @@gloria-Sofia there could be many reasons. But I think one of the reason is: the less moisture, the more stable it is in shelf. It will not spoil as easily even though we're talking about freezer. It will last longer.

      The whole thing can also be subjected to the drying process and the effect will certainly take up less space.

      @@MooncrafterUTAUs, they do sell such roots in stores. You just need a store with a quite good selection of vegetables. Or a Farmers Market or something like that. Even here in Norway, where we in general have a much smaller selection than in larger countries, I have seen both parsley- and celery root. Celery root is the most common though, that is available all over the place, especially in the fall and winter, but parsley root is getting more and more common and popular, I think. I have seen it in stores in several countries, I remember buying it in South Africa and Dubai as well as Norway. I for sure would expect to find it in US stores too. That reminds me, I actually think I have seen a TH-camr I follow use it in her cooking and she is in Washington, if I remember correctly. Parsley root looks just like white carrots and they taste like a cross between carrot and celery - delicous to oven roast. Just keep your eyes open for it and you’ll find it! Yummy! 🤗

    I also make vegetable powders. I blanche vegetables, dehydrate them, then blend them into a powder. Using these I can have vegetable broth or vegetables to add to something really quickly. I sometimes put powders into empty teabags and add that to something, and before it’s done, I fish out the teabag and press it, then throw away the powder, so all I’m left with is a perfectly clear broth. BTW, usually when making broth, you pass all the veggies etc. through a sieve. so that all the fibers etc. are taken out. What’s left is just the pure, clear broth, which can be cooked down and then dehydrated, frozen or canned. :)

    There is a cup of soup recipe in there somewhere. Like frozen small pieces of greenbeans and corn or something, some spring onions.
