    I recently started playing RC cars about 70 days ago and purchased a remote controller like yours while upgrading my car little by little. Since the basic controller is 2-channel, I impulsively purchased this controller without any prior information. I wanted to use a 2 speed gearbox and needed at least 3 channels. However, I failed to install the 2-speed gearbox and ended up not using the receiver's LED function because I purchased the LED kit separately. So, funny enough, I'm only using 2 channels on this controller. Like a basic remote controller. Haha, but I really like the grip of this controller.

      Thanks man. Its a nice transmitter for its price. I installed metal wheel with foam gives a a premium feel and look.
      I still have several vids to load but I will be working on a new layout next week.

    Great overview; there’s not a lot of hands-on experience reports with this one yet.
    Mine just arrived, and it seems pretty good so far. One minor issue is that the battery fit is tight so it takes a few solid knocks to remove them, but that’s no big deal. Agreed that it’s at about the lower limit for size, too.
    Anyway, it’s a nice little package with the tiny X4FMG gyro receiver, and is much more appealing than the older model for sure.

      I had the battery issue with rechargeable batteries regular AA fit fine. The metal wheel with foam is a very nice upgrade also.
      I was so excited about the 4 channel mini reciever until I figured out it doesn't fit standard plugs. Probably for mini z sized cars and crawlers.

      @@ixclusiverc Yes, I’m just going to use an adapter for that one, or maybe swap connectors.

      Turn the wheel right then adjust end point. Then turn left and repeat. It's very easy, instructions are not very clear on programming.

    Does it work with standard xf4 and 6 receivers? I love Dumbo got stardard size X6 and a surpass oem for my daughter...👍

      Yes it works with all dumbo Rc recievers.
      Thats what I didn't like about the flysky every transmitter and reciever is different.

    only half way through video but do you know how to adjust gyro ? I think i either lost my manual or never got one. Oh and how did you make these ramps

      I've never used gyro im honestly not sure. Jumps i have a video on how I made the entire track and parts I used. Main jumps use tire chalks as the base with wood to give it a better angle. I had to rebuild them several times till I got the trajectory I was looking for. Let me know if you need help.

    So do you use expo on steering at all or just dual rates? Not sure dumbo rc $35 tx has expo on steering..but i dont believe learning to drive cars is the same as with my planes..with my planes many are very small and very fast and expo is very much needed for me...also with cars you don't get nervous like when flying..at least from my experience..i guess you could if you were in a race though..thanks for sharing.😊

    • @ixclusiverc
      @ixclusiverc  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @roadstar499 everything is dual rate adjusted. I definitely try to set end points to save the servo if available on tx/rx setup. On carpet, you don't have time to be worried. Everything is really quick actions/ reactions. Definitely feel a rush when hitting constant lap after lap.
      How small are the planes you fly?

      500 to 1000 mm wing span..some even smaller..mostly hand toss delta wings..only thing that has improved is my repair skills,flying is actually worse lol.i needed a break from it..i built built my first rc 10 buggy almost 40 years ago..rc has really gotten advanced.

    Which is better dumbo x6 or this?

    • @ixclusiverc
      @ixclusiverc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn't say one is better but different. Both are 6 channels. The mini would have a few more features. The X6pm does feel strange in the hand at first but when you start to use it don't really notice its size just more weight balance from the battery location. For the price of $25. with reciever its really hard to beat it. BUT, if you want the best of both transmitters there is a new X10 that is a step up from both.

    That looks a little small I don't know if my big hands can hold that transmitter. But Dumbo RC does make good transmitters!

      Just got mine and it’s even smaller than I expected. The grip is still fine for my XXL hands, but the trigger is pretty cramped.

    I have dumbo RC for cars, where does not matter when signal is lost. I have 5 Dumbo RC receivers with gyro and one 6channel. And two transmitters. With gyro off, it seems working okay. But when i turn on gyro, i have signal cut off few times in hour. Depend on track. On the onroad Serpent it was without problem and on Typhon offroad i was horror. 6 times in one hour signal completely lost. I changed 3 different receivers and transmitters also, but nothing helped. I think that with gyro is to much information for this china cheap radio. Because when i switched to Spectrum DX5Pro i have not any problems everywhere. Just have 4 receivers and one radio transmitter and switching via profiles in more cars. So what is the point? Im not so rich for buying china crap again and again and again... rather have one solid radio than full trash bin of cheap China.

      I have experienced this same issue with a few different recievers not made by dumbo rc. From my experience in trying to troubleshoot these issues antennas placement and proximity is important.
      I have also tested a different esc and found in some cases the esc created a problem with interference. So to be honest I don't know if there is a one solution fix as there are to many variables of a frequency that we can't see. My situation I downgraded to a cheaper TX/RX and worked with no issues. it has nothing to do with cost and everything to do with total equipment compatibility along with local external interference per frequency.

    • @martins2657
      @martins2657 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ixclusiverc Yes, Dumbo is more sensitive to interference. I have 4x X6FG and one with lights modul. Problem in Typhon was with all. DC in the middle of the jump is not good :-( But on the onroad serpent S411, there is received in open space without any box and have no problems. In XO-1 i have also 2x DC in one hour, there is also box for receiver. It can be the issue. Also when cable is near to servo cables. But i never had problems with Spectrums. So i rather have smaller amount(4) of good receivers and switch them in 14cars, then have in all cars cheap Dumbo. Radio is the first upgrade which worth to buy when hobby is getting be more serious. But is up to everyone. This was just my experience.

      @@martins2657 thats interesting I'm experiencing the same issue with one of my flysky TX and switched it to the Dumbo and works fine.
      I'm completely with you on having a better transmitter.
      This Dumbo will not replace my main transmitter but its nice to have a back up for friends that works. (same as your situation).
      Thanks for the comment 👍 ill do some more testing on signal strength and range.
