I only saw Ronnie James Dio live in concert one time. Never saw him in his solo band Dio. But finally saw him the 3rd and last time he had rejoined Black Sabbath (or "Heaven & Hell") as they called the band at this time, in March 2007 in London, Ontario Canada at the John Labatt arena. With the Iommi-Butler-Dio-Appice line-up with Down & Megadeth as opening bands. This is my favorite line up of Sabbath, with Dio on vocals. The only bad thing was it was in such a huge arena the sound and view of the stage wasn't that good at all. I only saw Black Sabbath one other time before this. In February 1994 on their Cross Purposes tour at the State Theatre in Detroit, MI. with the line up of Iommi-Butler-Tony Martin vocals and Bobby Rondinelli drums. With Morbid Angel & Motorhead opening. This was my 2nd favorite Black Sabbath line up with Tony Martin on vocals. And it was in such a small narrow concert hall at the State Theater. It was by far the loudest and heaviest concert I've ever been to. And the view of the stage was fantastic. I couldn't hear hardly anything for 3 days afterward. I wish I could have seen the band when Dio was back in it at a small concert hall like this, instead of the huge arena I saw them at in Canada. But I'm at least glad I finally saw him once at least just a few years before he died.
