You watch MJ play and at first glance your so amazed by his athleticism, pure shooting and overall play making ability. But what we don't give him credit for enough is how fundamentally sound he was. That is what made him so unstoppable!
@@poker2face Jordan isn't great because he tried. He's great because he achieved. He wasn't great in his failures. He was great in learning from failures to create success.
MICHAEL JORDAN WILL ALWAYS BE THE GOAT! That’s his legacy to always be compared to the next great player. I love it, can’t wait to see who the next great player will be so that they’ll compare him to MJ. Oh and records of total stats are for people who play a shit ton of years in the league, has never made anyone the greatest, just ask Peyton Manning. Great players but not the GOATS. That just means you played more years. The fact that MJ’s accomplishments were in only 11 full seasons with the Bulls just blows my mind! Not to mention the style that Jordan played offensively and definitely was just exciting and awesome to watch, endless incredible moves, shots, and incredible defensive plays. He’s just the BOSS, the GOAT, the MEASURING STICK! So lucky to have lived thru his era!
well said.....well said! Couldn't have put that in clearer words with no need of giving any further reasoning or explanation! We had the total EVERYTHING living in that great time and era - watching live the Greatest Gift, not just the NBA in my opinion, but, the Greatest Player the world has ever seen!
@Larry Terry Larry Bird ✅ I would say Magic but having the all time leading scorer as a teammate who plays close to the basket and has a nearly unstoppable move called the skyhook is a huge advantage ✅
This is why you do NOT get rid of old arenas .. they were designed with tighter, steeper seating .. the crowds were more packed in and on top of the action, they were deafening and overpowering .. all of the shortcomings and failings of these old buildings is EXACTLY what made them so great 👊🏀
Just the fact that they were in the game at the end was a tribute to the fact that Jordan never surrendered even when the Bulls were having a poor night against a great Big man.
The intensity, energy from the crowd the competitives from bull defense down the stretch had shot at winning the game modern nba needs to bring this type of basketball back
My dad was huge bulls fans so I grew up watching mj greatest basketball player to do we always glance at his athleticism hang time ability quick first step the acrobatics layups and dunks but once thing he was the best at with the athleticism and hang time was Jordan had master the fundamentals that turned him into the best two way player of all time and best defender in the nba
Jordan at his absolute prime. Jordan was at his prime during the Bulls first two championship seasons. Probably more in 91-92 because he had his fadeaway jump shot AND he was still a high flying, athletic phenom. Jordan lost some of that in 93 and was never the same athletically after returning from retirement, though he did show some flashes. Older Jordan mostly used his fadeaway jumper though could still get to thee rim at will when needed. But he could never leap the same way or even have the same hangtime on jump shots from the 92-93 season and on.
2:04 Three full steps with the ball in one hand. Arguably a travel even with the gather-step rule made official in 2019, let alone back in 1989. And then the defense gets whistled for a foul too. If I were a defender I'd be mad too. If you're going to let a guy travel, at least also give the D a free pass to body it up or get a hand out or something.
Emmanuel Enyinwa Emmanuel Enyinwa did you come to this conclusion while only watching the positive Jordan highlights of this game or did u see the full game? Chances are u just seen these fucking highlights when u came to that conclusion
EVERY TIME, and I mean, every time he drove into the lane, the refs gave him a prissy "foul", so the message was clear: LET HIM HAVE THE LAYUP. Meanwhile, the Bulls, stripped, poked, grabbed and yanked at the Spurs with no call. Surely, this is silly.

Ahmad2423 His left handed lay up is what I notice, he didn’t shy away using his off hand. Great Fundamentals.
Yes indeed very.. you can thank coach Roy for that
I wasn't amazed - the Bulls lost.

Amazing body control..in the air.
The intensity of the games and crowd compared to today is just amazing.
Especially with it being a regular season game too!

Jordan always said that he preferred Chicago Stadium to the United Center.
I remember watching this game live in Australia's nba game of the week. Was willing bulls to win. Although they didn't, Jordan never disappointed.
Wow so many highlight reel plays from Mike in this game alone! San Antonio was playing him hard yet somehow MJ was finding ways to score.
Michael played ferociously bro
He takes my breath away. Oh and full credit to vídeo editor and uploader. Thank you and God bless you.
I love these old games. I grew up imitating Jordan's moves in my driveway
As a kid we never had favorite teams just players...

didn’t 93 jordan have a 48 inch vertical?
I can't believe David Bowie was drafted ahead of this guy!
Sam Bowie?
Speed kills.
I believe the Bulls had a long home court winning streak which the Spurs ended in this game
The reffing was atrocious during this game, but lets face it, MJ had all the refs in his pocket.
Wrong how so! Because Jordan got foul
Up over n around
04/05/1991 My Mother's Birthday. Damn... 🤔🌍🌴🔥🔥
Was this the game where the Bulls home-winning streak of 25 (or it might be 26, can't remember the exact number) was snapped?
