Excellent review! Seems like all the info needed to operate it, without a lot of blah blah blah talk!!! Thank you!! I am seriously thinking of buying this!!
I have seen others reviews on this product which convince me it was not for me but since your review (which I think was the best compare to the others) I'm now convince I should get one. I like the fact that it uses scrap wood and it works so well, as for those cans I don't want to have to be buying fuel.
Excellent vid production! Your detailed, comprehensive review just moved me off the fence. Purchasing mine today. Looking forward to reviewing your other productions. Thank you. Subscribed w/notification.
This stove caught my eye so I was happy to find your video. Excellent review! I'm wondering if anyone has any idea how well it works in cold temperatures. Could you still cook those lamb chops with snow on the ground? Cheers all!
very helpful..... enjoyable.... wonder how well you could have lit the fire with MPS electronic fire starter? looks like it better to precut your firewood? what do you think the best type of wood is to use? wonder what wood leaves the least ash?
@@NoRoadNoProblemAdventures i was talking about getting the fire going or lighting it with the Pocket Plasma Lighter with Flashlight by InstaFire..... lighting fire with paper is easy but lighting other things is little harder because the tips on lighter are so short??
Funny, why do I keep thinking, should I get this? What if? Maybe? If I wait too long, maybe I might be too late. So, should I get one? It wouldn't hurt to try this out then buy this for gifts for your grown up kids.
I have two questions 1. Can it be used indoors with a chimney directed outside? 2. Does it create enough external heat to warm up a room? Cant decide between this oven and the instafire that heats up a room.
If you are planning to use wood chips for indoors, I wouldn’t recommend it. But with the fuel cans it’s just fine. It doesn’t create decent amount of heat but not sure enough heat to heat up a room. Also it depends on what size room of course.
In order to increase the temperature (when using the wood sticks) the vents should be open. If the temperature is rising too much then you can partially close the vents.
After the sticks / charcoal catch fire, do you drop them onto the tray or keep them on the wire screen until they turn to ash? Is the ash tray just for starting the fire and catching the ashes/ embers?
If you are using wood chips you should keep adding them so the temperature doesn’t drop also opened the Vents will help to increase the temperature since there is more air getting in.
Trust me... If you have no electricity, waiting 70 minutes for the over to heat up would be NO problem! Assuming you have an electric oven, then you are looking at eating or not eating!
I think as a way to use this indoors then waiting the 70 minutes is worth having it especially in a grid down situation. Other than putting one of the cans out if too hot it was low maintenance in comparison to having to add twigs to it. I have several ovens also (sun oven, coleman oven and a diy apple box oven) but this one is unique in that it was designed to be used indoors as well as outdoors. Either way, it’s different strokes for different folks but I’m the 10 is 9, 9 is 8, etc…. mentality for which my husband just simply cannot understand. I tell him better than being a collector of diamonds!
8"x12" oven... which genius at InstaFire decided to make an oven chamber just a hair too small to accept standard 9"x13" pans that have been around for a hundred years? Or was it more of a "buy our custom size pans" when you order our expensive fuel cans kind of move? it's a great first concept, but needs a bit of kitchen common sense to really make it useful.
I purchased this Instafire Ember indoor/outdoor oven just in case of a prolonged electrical outage. I didn’t consider that the internal dimensions of the oven were not standard and my cookware does not fit. I am looking on Amazon for some pans that I can use with this oven. Any suggestions from other viewers would be greatly appreciated. What size is the pan that you are using Gagik? Thanks, nice video.
FUNNY 400* and not one sizzle sound. not one pop of grease. You must be a professional. Next time close your dampener and it won't take 30 minutes to heat up.

I just got mine. Its suppost to be a rough winter, possable power outs. I also bought the vesta heater. I'm prepared to stay warm & eat well.
That’s a great idea. Stay safe!
I’ve watched several reviews on this oven and yours was hands down the best. Kudos to you!
Thank you very much!!! Appreciate it

Thanks for sharing. its pretty temping to pick one up however I already own to many camping ovens.

Thank you!! I haven’t tried it in the snow yet but I’m assuming you’ll need to add more wood sticks in order to maintain the temperature.
Would also like to see how it performs with charcoal.
Can we use dry twigs as a fuel source in the Ember oven? Thanks
@@lyndasmith8747 You can outdoors.

Do you think it's possible to use charcoal briquettes successfully with this?
@@SojournerNX yes you can.
Watched a different video that said to make the wick 1 inch long before lighting. Should get to 350 in about a half hour.
Yes I did that prior actually but it’s probably because I was outdoors so it took a longer time to get to 350 degrees.
great and informative video. thank you.

I never tried it with any electric fire starter to be honest. I usually use oak wood and it’s not bad.

def getting one of these
Hey bud I really enjoyed your video. You are a super chill guy. Can't wait to receive my new oven. New sub here.

It doesn’t create decent amount of heat but not sure enough heat to heat up a room. Also it depends on what size room of course.
When you used the wood, are both vents wide open like the fuel cans?
By opening the vents you are increasing the temperature. So if you want to increase the temperature then yes open the vents so more air gets in.
VERY GOOD VIDEO.
Thank you!
Unrelated question- what type of table and where did you get it?
Here is the link: amzn.to/3Ssi0Vm
looks good and easy!
Yes it’s supper easy to use
I wish they did sell a line of cookware for this..
You can find pretty much everything in Amazon
They do on Amazon I found a kit for the instapot came with, muffin pan, cake pan, baking sheet and cooling rack for Like $19.
8:08 you'd definitely want to use sticks, leaves etc. outside. Was the side vent open or closed for either experiment?
In order to increase the temperature (when using the wood sticks) the vents should be open. If the temperature is rising too much then you can partially close the vents.
@@NoRoadNoProblemAdventures Thank you for answering. Great video, lamb chops looked delicious too! Very useful product, all round.
@Kayenne54 thank you!
I can see the front adjustment for temp, but what was the draft intake set in the back of the oven?
I leave that open as well for air flow
Worth to try it 👍🏼
That is awesome 👍👍👍
Thank you very much!!
Would pre heat time increase using wood and oven outside during colder temperatures?
Haven’t tested that since it’s not that cold yet. But I don’t think it’ll make that much difference specially with wood sticks.
After the sticks / charcoal catch fire, do you drop them onto the tray or keep them on the wire screen until they turn to ash?
Is the ash tray just for starting the fire and catching the ashes/ embers?
Keep them on the grill.
Thanks
I’m having trouble with keeping the oven at right temperature?
If you are using wood chips you should keep adding them so the temperature doesn’t drop also opened the Vents will help to increase the temperature since there is more air getting in.
@@NoRoadNoProblemAdventures thank you

CAN I USE WOOD PELLETS? CAN I USE A TRANGIA ALCOHOL STOVE?
Pellets yes, and I’m assuming you can use alcohol stove as well.
I use mine with alcohol stoves and it does fine
I'm sorry, did he say 70 minutes to reach 350/.?
With the fuel cans yes. With wood sticks it takes about 15min
😮😊great😊 thanks for sharing

I line my ash tray with foil to make it easier clean up
That’s smart.
Trust me... If you have no electricity, waiting 70 minutes for the over to heat up would be NO problem! Assuming you have an electric oven, then you are looking at eating or not eating!
@@gamingtonight1526 You are absolutely right. Or just go with the wood chips and save another 55 minutes.
70 minutes to preheat? I think not
That’s why I use it with wood stick only. It takes only 14min to preheat. Plus it’s free lol
