Mr. Iridium, thank you for consistently reviewing items and giving us advice. As 27 year old, ive been watching you for 3 years and i appreciate your videos! Edit: I've convinced my family after 3 years, who thought I was stupid, to go full prepper.
I would like to see it work with small sticks and twigs to see how that works. And then how to clean it out afterwards. Thank you for all you do. Stay safe
I have a small camper and doesn’t have an oven of any kind. This is perfect. Just need to whip up some frozen french fries or something for the kids’. Plus you get the emergency cooking aspect. Thanks a lot.
Hi George cool oven mate and yes it would be a handy item inside or outside and looks like you could put a roast lamb etc in it. Stay safe. Oh for Aussies looking to purchase this it will cost you around $250 AUD not including postage.
I have the Ember Instafire oven to use for emergency baking. Things to keep in mind with this product include 1) the inside of the oven is relatively small, look up the dimensions. Not nearly enough room for a roast lamb, 2) if you use biofuel (leaves and sticks) plan on using the Ember outdoors 3) stock up on lots of Canned Heat or Sterno fuel canisters if you want to use this oven indoors, 4) for safety sake set this oven on something like a cutting board when in use to prevent heat damage to your kitchen counters or table. Overall this is a nice, safe little oven for indoor use. Wish the oven was larger. They also make a small Instafire indoor heater that is fueled by little Canned Heat or Sterno type canisters. The heater doesn’t heat up a large area but will keep you from freezing during an emergency.
Haha. Leave your chocolate chip cookie dough in a spooned lump - don't squish it. Neat little stove, and not crazy money. Wish you'd show it with a wood-fire outside.
Look up the actual measurements of the inside of this little Ember oven before you buy. It’s very small. It’s smaller than it looks in the video. I would like to see a demonstration of wood pellets too. But from what I have read, using biofuel such as wood chips would have to be done outdoors only. Maybe Iridium could update us about this issue.
Paradyne, yes indeed, this will be perfect for SHTF. Just keep in mind that you will need LOTS of Canned Heat or Sterno type chaffing fuel if you plan to use it much. Canned Heat and Sterno type canisters have a long shelf life unopened and are safe to store, so what you don’t use this year you can use in years to come. Before you buy, look at the inside dimensions of this oven. When I received mine I was surprised at the small size of the inside of the oven.
@Iridium242 If this could fit like an insert in my fireplace, that would be awesome. You can probably put pots of food or a kettle on top in that situation. Please test pots, kettles, or a camping coffee pot on top when you show us it using wood or charcoal.
So I have a question. When you want to lower the temperature you said you put one of the canned heat out. So I'm guessing you use a snuffer? And just touch that to the top or something. Or is that with the Vesta stove which I do have, how do you put it out? Do you snuff it and then put a lid on top? I don't want to burn myself when I buy this thing. Thanks

Its a Manly 💪 Easy Bake Oven! 👨🍳 🥧
Lol
Works much like the wood burning ovens that the Amish around me use, just on a much smaller scale.

You need a camp dutch oven, and just cook in the fire pit.
Or a counter top, electric convection oven!
I have a small toaster oven, but you need grid power.
Also have a dutch oven, but hard to regulate exact temps. Great for soups or stews.
Cool stove. I like the look of the stove. Nice you can bake inside without worrying. 😊😊😊😊😊
Try cook wear from RV stores or toaster ovens, depending on size.
That's neat. If the power goes out I could bake a pizza.

Love the coffee cup.
Thanks for review.
Yes I would like to see it done with sticks
I have one of these ovens and I really like it a lot. I’ve made cookies and brownies so far.
This is actully pretty cool. Wish they had a diesel version though. Would be nice to ploink on my semi's catwalk and make any number of tasty things.
Very nice option for indoor off grid baking. Thank you for sharing.
Also an adaptor to use small propane tanks would be cool also.

My Patriot has the oven and pans
I think that I would like this better than the Vesta.
Please test with some wood pellets too.
It looks big enough to bake a couple meat pies.
Thanks

Also available on Walmart online.
This is a great burner. I’m looking at buying one finally this summer. Finally got a Coleman stove oven that I’m going to test out
Thank you.
Great Oven!
Thanks
That just went in the Amazon cart. Awesome video
This looks like it's going to be very useful for a shtf

@@lyndarina9839 Can you use trangia's to get this oven?
Have you guys ever cooked with a Camp Dutch Oven? Its mainly for the outdoors now, but were commonly used in fire place kitchens for a hundred years!
A quarter sheet pan might fit in that or maybe a pan made for a toaster oven.
yup gonna head to walmart later today and see what they have thanks!
Great video. Love that little oven. I put it on my Amazon wish list.

Thank you for the review.
Can you use charcoal, 50 degrees a per square?
I don't care for cookies. How would it cook meat? Baked chicken?
Where do you clean out the ashes if using wood?
Same tray I put the canned heat in, that just slides out with the ashes, its all contained in there

I just got one last week and didn't see anything about using alcohol burners. I might try it , but hope I don't somehow ruin it.
I suspect they will get a bit too hot for use, that is why they say to stick to just the gel canned heat or bio fuels like wood or charcoal

Can it fit a standard loaf pan? I would want to use it for bread.
Yes. When I test it with wood, I will be baking some bread in it
Good review, thanks for sharing YAH bless !
Can u use a trangia
You might be able to but they suggest you only use the canned heat or biomass as it may get too hot
are the exhaust gasses separate from the baking chamber?
yes
I’d like to see a loaf of bread made in it.
I will be doing one soon.
I got to stop watching your channel because I'm going broke with all the good things you review. 😅
❤🔆🧡🔆❤️
What is the pan size?
