I freaking love Viridi, simply because they got Hynden Walch, the voice of Starfire from TEEN TITANS to play her. And the line "WE ARE NOT THERE YET!" just sounded so much like something Starfire would say that it made me happy because Star was my favorite character on my favorite animated TV series.

I mean, it would kinda be rude to the Chariot Master if Viridi dropped Pit on the top floor of the tower and asked if he could borrow the Lightning Chariot. With Pit climbing up to the top floor of the tower from ground level, it shows the Chariot Master that Pit has determination and needs the chariot for whatever he needs it for. At least that's my reasoning. I would think that Pit would be less likely to get the chariot if he just waltzed to the top of the tower effortlessly than earning it. Would probably turn him into galactic roadkill.

Facecams work for some games, like genuine new experiences (blind let's plays) and horror games (Pewdiepie and the like), but for most serious LPers, Chuggaa's point about taking away from the experience of the game hits the nail on the head in my book. KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING! :D

I know this is late, but the barking dogs comparison is supposed to be comparing the aches and pains of feet to dogs barking--annoying and unceasing. So people use that saying when their feet are hurting and complaining and they need a rest. Hope I explained that well.
The thing most likely stopping viridi from placing pit at the top of the tower is that it most likely lacks any accessibility to the interior of the tower. Now this might raise the question of why they still wouldn’t just bust in through the roof, which I could explain as them taking on a peaceful path in order to claim the lightning chariot (after all pit did fairly politely ask for the lightning chariot, never destroyed property without a choice, and never once threatened the chariot master.)
Chugga you're by far my favorite lets player on the whole of TH-cam. You have never needed a face cam and you dont need one in the future, stay true to the Chugga way!
As long as this chapter is, I can't say it bothers me. This is one of my favorite chapters. It's probably the area design and the character conversations that make it great. I'm not a fan of the length, and the music isn't the best from the OST, but it's still a great chapter.
Well, to be fair, for the times when you're being dropped off at the edges of towns, I would imagine that the purpose for that was to clear the towns of enemies - you know, to help out the townsfolk, for the sake of the story. In this case, there's no one to save within or from the tower, so it does seem weird. But, hey, maybe I'm thinking a little too far into it.
Man, I seriously cannot express how much I love the Viridi segment of this game. Viridi is one of my favorite characters in the entire game (if not my #1, which is possible), and there's just so much awesome commentary going on between her, Pit, and even the other characters. And thanks for the episode as usual, chuggaa! The tower to the Lightning Chariot may be long, but Viridi, Pit, and even Hades (along with yourself) make it a much more enjoyable experience! :D
I know it has been 7 years since this video and you probably won't see this but I'm glad you never went Facecam. Chugga you put in the game before yourself and by not showing your face you show us what the game is truly about. So again I'm glad you never went facecam and I hope you keep doing what you love.
Chuggaaconroy, I have to say that I have actually laughed at the exact same that you have laughed at in this Let's Play. In fact, when Viridi says she wishes to speed up the process, I actually laughed harder than I usually do because you laughed! Yeah, this game has some great dialogue, which is actually my favorite part. I was not expecting an action-packed game to have such funny dialogue.
About the tower climbing question (why Viridi didn't drop Pit off at the top) there actually WAS a barrier around the tower my guess is Chugga didn't see it. It is pretty faint but there is a barrier
Chugga walking up to and touching one of the monsters reminds me of how, in Xenoblade Chronicles I have gone to Three Sage Summit during a blizzard, equipped a bunch of earth cloak gems, walked up behind the Avalanche Abassy, and touched one of its hind claws
To be honest, the way you described the whole facecam thing really does make a lot of sense to me. I'm personally trying to do some Let's Plays of my own, but I won't be using a facecam, primarily because playing a game while wearing my gear makes it really difficult to see
Honestly Emile, your way of LP'ing is always the best way to go about it in my opinion. I don't like a lot of LP'ers nowadays as they make there videos more focused about themselves as opposed to the content that is coming out. I honestly find the face camera distracting from the actual video as you then start looking at the person's "gamer face" - although it cold bring some funny moments and some hilarious screen caps or memes. I prefer having the gameplay and the commentary the main focus of the video which makes you my favourite LP'er as you make it the primary focus and then add more depth detail/hints to the video. After all that's what a LP'er should be doing, as not only some people use your videos as a guide but its also you showcasing a game that you love and enjoy and then wanting to share the experiences with other people. I just don't think the face cam thing is something you should be concerned about, just keep Chuggin' along...
I don't remember if I already commented on the facecam thing that Chugga mentioned the first time I watched this video, so I'm gonna say it: Facecam SUCKS!!! OK, lemme explain myself. Facecams are a completely unnecesary blocking of part of the game screen, except for horror games, where the watchers wanna see the LPer's reaction to what is happening, but, aside from that, facecam is completely unnecesary and it blocks part of the screen. Now, no need to start a flame war if you disagree with me, but this is my opinion of it, and I felt like sharing it.
I can get behind that statement. One exception, though; I think it would be pretty fun to have facecams during some of the TRG LPs, just to see the looks on their faces when playing, for example, Mario Party.
Emile, we all have different ideas for LP'ing, and tbh, I like your idea. Some people don't wanna have their face on the Internet (like me), others have different reasons. It's what makes someone theirself.

Emile, you have shared plenty of emotion with us. It's who you are, your commentary, your humor, your channel, not your face. Your videos will always stand out. Decent chapter by the way. Dialogue was great, especially at the end with the Chariot Master. Are we sure there wasn't a force field? Hard to tell but there might have been some barrier thing that didn't cover the front door. And trying to land Pit on one of those ledges as opposed to solid ground probably would have plastered him across the outside and making him ricochet off and plummet to the ground floor anyways. Oh, and that might've killed him too.
Having no facecam, in my humble opinion, is pretty cool (and facecams can be cool too, I'm not judging). It's like having a secret identity, phrasing it cornily :p

Analysis in 2020 where I've watched plenty of Markiplier alongside your content: you compare exceedingly well. Face can or not, I can still sense your personality and style, and the passion for games you really enjoy. No. You are not wrong for thinking that a facecam does what you said it does. In my opinion at least. A facecam can also get a little to distracting for my own taste. And you've always made your videos this way, and it give's the videos that chuggaaconroy charm. I don't feel like a facecam would do that much good. But it is just my opinion.
You hit the nail on the head with that face cam comment, Chuggaa. I can only think of a few instances where face cam can work and even fewer instances when it should be used, and your focus on the games themselves is one of the bigger reasons why you specifically work better without the face cam.
Chugga, that's the thing about you. Your fans (me included) can have a good emotional bond without the facecams! The lightning chariot base has one of my favorite songs in the game. Don't know exactly what I love so much about it, but the unusual time signature is probably part of it.
Do I think that eventually being able to see your face would be nice? Yes. Do I think it'd be really cool to know what you look like? Yes. Should that be in every video? No. If you ever do that, it should be in a Q & A video. Something that isn't a let's play.

When I watch videos that have face cams, I usually find myself looking at the face cam screen more than the actual game mostly to see their reactions, but with your commentary, I don't need the face cam.
I think chugga is better recording how he has done it, besides not to be mean (although this sounds very blunt, and mean) his face would start to clutter the screen with all the other panels already on view.
actually it gives you better weapons in the store, there rare though so you'll still get...relatively bad weapons costing around 200-400 hearts, and as you know, the more expensive the better.
NO I don't think not using the camera takes away from the quality of the Let's Play. Personally I prefer no face cam - the idea of Let's Plays is seeing the game itself, and facecam is just distracting.

Don't see how people can complain about graphics when it's on a hand-console. The hardware is doing the best it can. It's not like it has the space for a HD screen and enough power to give you 1080p gfx :P So imo for what the hardware can provide this is pretty good.

I don't think you need a face cam to create a more intimate feel with the viewer and player coz it just shows facial reactions and with the info and facts you give in your videos I feel it may throw you off as you'll be trying to look good whilst remembering what to say and that's effort. I like your style and always have since I was like 12/13. Everyone's got different personalities and styles when making LP's and yours is more 'yo, this game is underrated/has a great plot etc, come see all it's secrets with me' rather to 'yo, this game is all kinds of crazy let's watch for banta'. Chuggaa... Keep doing what you feel is right. Having No Facecam works well for you. Most Let's Players I watch who uses Facecam plays horror games. That way you can see there reaction. Your commentating works well for the games you play, just like NCS and ProtonJon. Leave Markiplier & Pewdiepie with the facecams and horror games. You stick to what you do best. Be the best punny guy I know without a facecam.
I agree with you Chugg. I wouldn't go there with the face cam. It isn't your style. Also look how far you got without it. Look how many fans and subscribers you got without it. You are right, your LP's are about the games not yourself. Your commentary on how fun these games are alone has introduced me to titles i NEVER would have touched unless you have made those respective LP's. Earthbound and this game is one of them. Viridi's domain change from chapter 19 to 21 and then it's back to Palutena's domain from chapter 22. If you want to have Viridi's domain permanently, you need to beat the game to unlock hidden options.

Full-on Let's Play channels like this one, NCS, etc don't need face cams. TRG seems like they would make it work, or if you're someone who does one-offs just for comedy purposes, then facecams work. But not for full-on LP channels.

What I think is the offering gives you some extra dialogue after beating the game. It’s a rumour that the weapon are on sale more often.

Honestly Emile, your way of LP'ing is always the best way to go about it in my opinion. I don't like a lot of LP'ers nowadays as they make there videos more focused about themselves as opposed to the content that is coming out. I honestly find the face camera distracting from the actual video as you then start looking at the person's "gamer face" - although it cold bring some funny moments and some hilarious screen caps or memes. I prefer having the gameplay and the commentary the main focus of the video which makes you my favourite LP'er as you make it the primary focus and then add more depth detail/hints to the video. After all that's what a LP'er should be doing, as not only some people use your videos as a guide but its also you showcasing a game that you love and enjoy and then wanting to share the experiences with other people.
I just don't think the face cam thing is something you should be concerned about, just keep Chuggin' along...

I don't remember if I already commented on the facecam thing that Chugga mentioned the first time I watched this video, so I'm gonna say it: Facecam SUCKS!!!
OK, lemme explain myself. Facecams are a completely unnecesary blocking of part of the game screen, except for horror games, where the watchers wanna see the LPer's reaction to what is happening, but, aside from that, facecam is completely unnecesary and it blocks part of the screen.
Now, no need to start a flame war if you disagree with me, but this is my opinion of it, and I felt like sharing it.

I can get behind that statement. One exception, though; I think it would be pretty fun to have facecams during some of the TRG LPs, just to see the looks on their faces when playing, for example, Mario Party.
I've always thought that they should have one, but not show it on the screen unless something big happens.
I feel like the game just sort of forgot that Veridi nuked a country. It is never addressed or brought up again.

Are we sure there wasn't a force field? Hard to tell but there might have been some barrier thing that didn't cover the front door. And trying to land Pit on one of those ledges as opposed to solid ground probably would have plastered him across the outside and making him ricochet off and plummet to the ground floor anyways. Oh, and that might've killed him too.

Here's a suggestion for a super awesome easter egg for the next episode: If you switch the camera around to where you can see Pit's face, if Pit is currently talking during the dialogue, you can actually see his mouth saying the words on the captions.

Analysis in 2020 where I've watched plenty of Markiplier alongside your content: you compare exceedingly well. Face can or not, I can still sense your personality and style, and the passion for games you really enjoy. No. You are not wrong for thinking that a facecam does what you said it does. In my opinion at least. A facecam can also get a little to distracting for my own taste. And you've always made your videos this way, and it give's the videos that chuggaaconroy charm. I don't feel like a facecam would do that much good. But it is just my opinion.

You hit the nail on the head with that face cam comment, Chuggaa. I can only think of a few instances where face cam can work and even fewer instances when it should be used, and your focus on the games themselves is one of the bigger reasons why you specifically work better without the face cam.

I know this is a bit late, but I agree, you make a valid point about the face cam making the video more about the gamer rather than the game. When I watch videos that have face cams, I usually find myself looking at the face cam screen more than the actual game mostly to see their reactions, but with your commentary, I don't need the face cam.
I think chugga is better recording how he has done it, besides not to be mean (although this sounds very blunt, and mean) his face would start to clutter the screen with all the other panels already on view.

NO I don't think not using the camera takes away from the quality of the Let's Play. Personally I prefer no face cam - the idea of Let's Plays is seeing the game itself, and facecam is just distracting.
The way your worded it made me think differently. Putting our enjoyment over his enjoyment is essentially saying he owes it to us to do something if we enjoy it, even if he does not.
Facecam may or may not help viewers fall in love with you as a person, but I don't think we need that. ouo At least, I can speak for myself. To me, your personality comes out without it just fine. ^^

Don't see how people can complain about graphics when it's on a hand-console. The hardware is doing the best it can. It's not like it has the space for a HD screen and enough power to give you 1080p gfx :P So imo for what the hardware can provide this is pretty good.

I don't think you need a face cam to create a more intimate feel with the viewer and player coz it just shows facial reactions and with the info and facts you give in your videos I feel it may throw you off as you'll be trying to look good whilst remembering what to say and that's effort. I like your style and always have since I was like 12/13. Everyone's got different personalities and styles when making LP's and yours is more 'yo, this game is underrated/has a great plot etc, come see all it's secrets with me' rather to 'yo, this game is all kinds of crazy let's watch for banta'. Sorry for the long post and if it seems confusing but yeah that's how I feel.
Chuggaa... Keep doing what you feel is right. Having No Facecam works well for you. Most Let's Players I watch who uses Facecam plays horror games. That way you can see there reaction. Your commentating works well for the games you play, just like NCS and ProtonJon. Leave Markiplier & Pewdiepie with the facecams and horror games. You stick to what you do best. Be the best punny guy I know without a facecam.

Your commentary on how fun these games are alone has introduced me to titles i NEVER would have touched unless you have made those respective LP's. Earthbound and this game is one of them. Viridi's domain change from chapter 19 to 21 and then it's back to Palutena's domain from chapter 22. If you want to have Viridi's domain permanently, you need to beat the game to unlock hidden options.

People just wanna see what your face looks like at those golden moments that make them laugh for eternity. Honestly, I would've LOVED to see face when you turned away from the screen to check your numbers and the second you turned back, you almost all your pikmin in pikmin 2. (Also, waterwraith)
Full-on Let's Play channels like this one, NCS, etc don't need face cams. TRG seems like they would make it work, or if you're someone who does one-offs just for comedy purposes, then facecams work. But not for full-on LP channels.
