I’m a retired airline Captain, now 77. i was a flight instructor at Embry Riddle so many years ago. I enjoyed your video. I sure miss flying. I had a beautiful Twin Comanche. Happy trails.

PA-30 best light twin ever made. Owned one and ferried a dozen out of Lock Haven building time in my youth. Met William Piper, Sr and years latter worked along side his son, Pug Piper, at Beech of all places. 77 as well.

Perfect attitude about not worrying about camera setups when flying! Flying comes FIRST, while cameras are secondary. Lives can depend on that!

Hey Mindy! Cool belt. Flight plan is pretty easy…it’s direct! Doesn’t get any better than that. WHOA…a B-52! I have to say, that’s the busiest CTAF and uncontrolled airport AND there’s skydivers, WHAT!!! Oh my gosh, what a doozie! A doozie for real and you handled it like the professional you are. Enjoy your recurrent training and thanks for taking me along 🤗

Very neat! I pretty much grew up in Las Cruces, NM and my dad worked as an engineer at White Sands Missile Range. One of his best friends was a former A-4 Navy pilot who was also an engineer at WSMR. When I was seventeen he took me flying a few times in his 182. In fact, he took my dad and I on a fly in deer hunting trip on an isolated ranch in the Gila National Forest. It was one of the best experiences I ever had to that point and as a result I became interested in getting my pilot’s license. I started down the path to that end but life stuff happened. Thank you for the ride along since it keeps the fun alive. 🤠

I appreciate watching your channel Mindy, but watching these videos to me are always sort of frustrating and depressing knowing the costs of these high tech GA aircraft are priced out for the average American to fly--much less, own! I am a retired firefighter/paramedic/registered nurse and can't ever dream of being an owner of a GA (new or used) airplane! But hats off to you guys that have figured out a way in life to enjoy what only a handfull will ever be able to afford! Nothing personal!!!

We need tort liability reform in everything. Not just GA, everything. Less regulation, less risk aversion, more experimentation and innovation.
There would be losers in that agreement and they will fight tooth and nail to maintain their rent seeking revenue.

Love this. No BS, just the flying. I don't understand how people can be looking at airspeed on takeoff, or landing with a tailwind, but that's taildragging for you.

Not sure if you noticed, but as you got close to DED, there was a bombing range off of your right wing. When the zone is “cold”, we fly over it. It’s creepy and apocalyptic. It has a mock airport, planes and a little village. Love your videos and your airmanship. I learn from you each video.

DeLand has always been insane. When I was at Riddle (93-97) we used DeLand, Ormond Beach, Flagler and New Smyrna as our primary training airports. I always preferred New Smyrna because Ormond could be just as crazy. I did my solo at Ormond so it has a special place in my heart. Great video though!

I do fly my virtual (DA62)) simulator plane often to KSHV (ILS 14/RNAV 32)! My sister lives about 20 miles west of Shreveport, La, in Marshall, TX (KASL)! Too, my father and grandparents are from Shreveport, La. So I fly all over the southeast (Houston where I live) to northeast Texas and northwestern Louisiana!

In the description is shows that the plane is a 182T. I know that the engine is a normalized engine. So, you said it was not a turbo engine. really like the Cessna 182T's. Your videos are some of the best. Thank you for posting.

Love this video, as I love all your 182 videos. Yeah, my favorite private airplane. If I could, I’d have one. Awesome flyover at Barksdale AFB, and the B-52H at the end of the runway, and others in the ramp. My father was in the USAF… SAC (Strategic Air Command) during the Cold War and I grew up around those bombers… my all time favorite aircraft. So this video was an extra special viewing pleasure for me.
Thank you for the treat Mindy. Blessings, good health, success & prosperity.

Cpt. Mindy you're one of the first pilot I 've been following. Its a real pleasure watching your videos. I learn something new every time you do your flights. Watch the CG. That black bag might be better in the back seat. Your camera comments are spot on. That poor young lady that crashed 6 months ago. She had like five cameras in her airplane. The day she crashed with her dad in the right seat, playing around with her autopilot. The NTSB is going to have all the video they could ever ask for, all the way into the ground at over 200 knots. Fly first, everything else is second, or irrelevant.
