Yes, rolled mop herring is very common amongst sturgeon anglers. We've just never really used, but I'm planning to start exploring baits for sturgeon fishing. They all work great! Thanks for watching, Bob.

I forgot to ask you,what size pound tri swivel do you use? And do you think it’ll break when a fish is on and the line straightens out?since the angle is weird?
I typically run 100lb, but occasionally just use 40lb. Your swivel shouldn't break, ideally. For instance, I run 40lb mono as my main line. If I set my drag correctly, that 40lb line won't snap because the tension of the line will not exceed 40lbs as you just let the fish take some line out. The same story goes for the tri-swivel if that makes sense. I do recommend 100lb swivels though just to be sure!
Samong Yang Outdoors thanks brotha! So the angle isn’t a issue? With the bait being on the middle swivel,and when a fish is on,it’s not exactly straight? If that makes sense lol

There are probably some good sized channel catfish in here, but I've never fished for catfish here before
