You need to grind a lot more when switch up from the Duo Temp Pro to the Dual boiler. Not only to fill the larger 58mm over the 54mm portafilter but the same grind settings don't work.
Recently I've seen sales online where the Dynamic Duo is about $100 USD cheaper than the Dual Boiler on its own. Not sure why that's the case exactly but they usually sell out pretty quickly when it happens.
My Smart Grinder Pro had stalling issues even grinding some medium roasts to espresso fine. Drove me nuts to the point that I just bit the bullet and bought a Niche. I wonder if they'll ever release a more powerful grinder.
Thanks Kev - always like your vids - didn’t have the budget for the duo, but I did get a barista pro and put aside my classic/SGP combo - Can you tell me what the maximum grind setting on the sage barista pro will achieve? I use it to grind for Chemex/V 60, and I’m not sure if “30 “is big enough, what do you think? Thanks Kev
Right, took the plunge and picked up the dynamic duo with their barista kit and went for a bottomless portafilter also. Massive thanks for the discount code after the giveaway, saved me a few hundred quid. It's sitting in box right in front of me but I'm moving in to my first house on friday and don't like the idea of repacking after I get it out 😂 the struggle is real though. Thanks again kev, been watching your brilliant videos over the last few months and your detailed reviews have helped me in getting my first coffee machine for home use!

When you say stalling, did it do the machine gun clicking that I demonstrated at 4:10 ?
