Yep, "who wants chicken for supper"? HAS to be the best line this week!! We have a HUGE rooster thar lives across the road from us that's EVERY BIT AS VOCAL as the rooster DeJay offered to put on the menu! He takes a few hrs off either side of midnight, but that's it. He's a beautiful rooster, and huge, but GEEEZE O PETE!! How they get their little ones to take naps I'll never know!! He takes good care of his hens tho... they get too close to the road & he's all over it & runs 'em back where they belong. Buttttt.... he's sooo

LOL I was definitely thinking the same thing that his training in law enforcement helped him wrangle these animals.
Love watching how all the animals react to worming. Thank goodness Daniel has the body strength to wrestle the donkeys and alpacas and the convience of the pellets. I’m a retired ICU RN, we would order BABY applesauce from dietary, crush meds up into a powder and add a couple of tablespoons to the mixture, mix well then a 1-2 tablespoons of water and administer via the feeding tube. Np problems.
Agreed. Regular applesauce is not smooth. Baby applesauce is smooth/fine. Crushed meds r nasty and difficult to swallow.

@@prarieborn6458 our temps in the high desert of CA has been bouncing around, too, warm one day in the 60⁰ or 70's with 40+nights, then a 50⁰ day with 30⁰ nights. Glad I've kept my plants sheltered. Was going to plant but ran out of time which saved them. Hopefully it will warm up before April is over. And even if the day is comfortable, we get breezes and often strong winds so as soon as the sun hits that horizon it gets cold!!
I thought cedar chips out gases are not good for animals to breathe or is that just chickens? I had a barred rock rooster whose crow instinct outdid his safety sense. He made delicious chicken and dumplings! I love watching you two together, You both are so funny in your cuteness!
In a closed barn maybe, that is open enough for air flow. Cedar also helps keep the flies down
Cedar chips also keeps fleas and ticks away. Good thing.
I read some place that the oil from cedar chips can irritate the skin, especially softer under bellies and eye & nose area. IDK if that is correct or not, I err on side of caution & don't use cedars chips even though I love the way it smells in the barn.
I too always heard cedar chips not good for animals. I raise chickens, ducks and donkeys. I always used pine chips and straw . Do not use straw in the donkeys. They can poke it in the eyes
Correct, cedar is toxic to most animals.
Be careful with cedar and equine. It can really mess up they’re respiratory system. Your open air barn should be okay, but still something to consider

All the llamas remind me of the 4H Llama club I was apart of during middle school. The Llama I took care of had a dark face named Hina, I loved so much she was such a sweetie.
Wasnt thro with my comment. I am a 72 yr old fan and love your farm life. You all are so much fun. I grew up on an acreage with a various critters. This brings it back into my now apartment life. Just a couple of kittens in my small space. I just love the donkeys....thanks for sharing them.🤗🐈⬛
This was quite an entertaining video...thank you lol. Too many roosters means they are constantly competing hence the incessant crowing. It's best to cull them down to just one rooster or get rid of all the roosters so you stop breeding more chicks. Take them to a processor or find someone locally that would do it for you as you don't seem like you're set up for meat birds there.

I think (back in the day) when I had a horse, Safe Guard was what I got for him. It was pretty painless with the Whinnie-Deer types. If it resembled feed, they were all over it.
Nicely done with hand catching the critters Daniel. Steve was a push over compared to Freedom. The Donkey-Poodle show is always a great treat too.
Time to grab a rooster by his neck, look him in his eye and tell him: "You have the right to REMAIN silent. Anything you say, can, and WILL land you in the pot. You DON'T have the right to an attorney, so shut up, or cook up." Then ask him if he understands those rights... and that you don't WANT any questions or statements from him. LOL And, show him a Shake-n-Bake bag, and smile at him.

The cedar chips are good for bedding in this situation but be careful to not use them where they will be urinated on then gotten on skin. It will burn them.

Phoebe follows you around like a puppy dog. Nothing cuter than two baby donkeys. The animals' reaction to worming seems to be universal. Even though Fallon tried to act unconcerned as she scratched her leg, poked around a little, & checked on Freedom, she did come to you when you called. That was cute to watch. Take care! :o)

We have 2 roosters and they crow at 1am , 3am and 4:30 am or anytime I let the dogs out to potty lol. They also meet us at the fence to get loved on whenever we go to town. I have never seen roosters like these two. They always stick together as well. The buddy system keeps them safer I think and they play tag with our dogs. Picture that in your head for a minute. ❤️🤠❤️ Love from Texas
