02:01 Factual correction: Salazar didn't pass away in 1968, but in 1970. He stepped down in 1968 after suffering a stroke.

But during those 2 years until he died, they allegedly pretended to him that he was still in charge 😂

CORRECTION: the revolution was not blodless, this is a common misconception as there was not actual fighting between militar operators/sides, but the political police open fire on a crowd when they though they could still turn the tides on the revolution and tragically killed 4 civilians. A political police officer was also killed in the same day.
    This are their names:
João Guilherme de Rego Arruda, José James Harteley Barneto, Fernando Luís Barreiros dos Reis, Fernando Carvalho Giesteira, António Lage

While it's true that some lives were lost during the revolution in Portugal, Historian (including Portuguese) often refer to it as the 'Bloodless Revolution' because compared to many other revolutions, the level of violence was remarkably low. The term emphasizes that even though there were casualties, the overall conflict was not as bloody or violent as other historical uprisings.

@@Thehistoriann What succeeded the "bloodless revolution" was 2 years of communist terror cells and holdouts of the Estado Novo conducting political assassinations and terror campaigns on one another and on each of their perceived supporters. Even in 1980, half a decade after the Third Republic finally came into its own, the communists were still commiting terror attacks and even assassinated our Prime Minister. Stop whitewashing history.

You've never read a book like The Reason I jump, written by Naoki Higashida, a very smart, very self-aware, and very charming 13 year old boy with autism it is a one-of-a-kind memoir that demonstrates how an autimic mind thinks, feel, perceives, and responds. Some of these people are smarter than the normal ones, it is nostolgia.

"Bloodless", but it killed the spirit of a Nation and of its entire people. The country is now a undeveloped colony dominated by the international capital forces. My 3rd-grandparents and my great-grandparents would be horrified to see what Portugal has become.

Bullshit! Portugal has problems, but the spirit of the Nation is freedom and democracy and the struggle for a better life. Exactly the same as in any western country nowadays. Your grandparents must not have experienced any of the horrors of fascism. As in 1974, fifty years later, Portuguese people still celebrate the values of that glorious revolution. 25 de Abril sempre!

Bloodless? What about its consequences? Millions died because of this so called “bloodless” revolution. Let me remind you what happened thereafter : Angola, a brutal civil war erupts causing millions to perish in a conflict that lasted over two decades. Mozambique: the same shit. Millions died again. Timor: Indonesia invades East Timor again causing thousands to die. Guinea Bissau: Coup after coup, political unrest, etc. Bloodless means no blood was shed, unless you meant “non European blood “.

That's above these guys' pay grade, they're trying to make it look like this was a "good revolution" and any genocides were "good genocides" because they're all leftist braindeads.
