My variation: The game ends in 15, 20 or 25 turns(depending on what you agree on). After that IF there is more then one player who hasn’t gone bankrupt, the surviving players collect the rent from the bank from the properties they owned one last time. The richest player after counting all their cash wins. You must pay rent when you land on an opponents space. It doesn’t matter if the owner asks for rent or not. Here are the rules on the final turn: No more Un-mortgaging or trading can be made. Players simple roll their dice and collect rent or bonuses from Chance and/or community chest cards and Passing Go. You can obtain properties from other players WITHOUT TRADING. Here’s how: First, Land on a property an opponent owns. Then, look at the current rent. Next, pay the listed price of the opponent’s property PLUS DOUBLE the current rent to the BANK and you can snag their properties! And yes, this can also work on a complete set, but it’s risky.
1. Do you have to land on the same property a second time to upgrade the houses? Or is it an action that can be taken at any time during your turn. 2. Is it true that you don't have to pay rent if you land on a property that the owner is on at the same time? 3. Can you mortgage a property at any time? Even when you're not bankrupt but do it for the sake of getting more funds for houses
1. Actually, you can upgrade your houses anytime you wish, even if it's not your turn, at least, in the version I have. 2. No, that is not true. Whether or not the owner of the property you landed on is on the said property, you must pay them rent. 3. Yes, you can mortgage any time you want to earn a bit of cash early in the game.
I have one question, if I have all orange properties, and want to buy a house in one of the property, do I need to stop at that certain property space first or I can buy the house from anywhere?

we play the rule when you land on free parking, you get the cash from the middle, from taxes or getting out of jail and community chest/ chance card. :)
They're just another type of property, which are bought, auctioned, and traded the same way as regular properties. Their rent depends on a dice roll. If you land on either one of these two, and it is owned by another player, roll the dice again to decide rent. If that player owns only one of the two, then rent is 4x what you rolled. If he owns both the electricity and water, then the rent is 10x the roll.

I have some questions and comments: 1. I never knew that the property gets auctioned to other players if you land on it and choose not to buy it. Also did not know that three doubles in a row means jail time. 2. Can someone please confirm when it comes to buying hotels. So you've got 4 houses and you've already paid say $100 each for them, so $400 total. To get the hotel are you just paying $100 extra and then taking off your houses and swapping them for the hotel, or is the price of the hotel itself the equivalent of another 4 houses plus the hotel? So another $500 all up to take the houses off and put the hotel on? Hope that makes sense 3. I was told that when you're in jail you can only pay $50 to get out once you've attempted to roll doubles for three turns and had no success. But can you pay $50 any time? Even straight away? 4. If a property is mortgaged and it's flipped over, does that mean it's gone back to the bank and no longer yours and it's available now for anyone to buy, or is it still in your possession with your other cards but just flipped over and not collecting rent? What happens if you have a mortgaged property and someone wants to buy it off you? Can they? Am new to Monopoly. Have played it three times so far. You have to own the property card to put houses on that property. Once you own the property card, you can buy houses at anytime for that property between turns.
The game is really interesting, challenging and some real life situations. However, the game goes long and is a bit hard as you need to understand every single rule.
Monopoly is quite fun if you play by the rules. People say that the game lasts forever but it only lasts that long if you put money in the center of the board and give free money to whoever lands on free parking.
question: let say the property cost $300 and mortgage cost $200. you get the mortgage and paid $200. and let say you want to buy the property later, do you need to land on that property again or you can buy it anytime? and if you buy it, do you need to pay $100 plus 10%. but 10% of what amount? or do you need to pay $300 plus 10%?
You can repay the mortgage to the bank at anytime. You will pay back the bank the amount received for the mortgage, plus 10%. So, if you got $200 from the bank for mortgaging a property, you would pay back $220. $200 mortgage repayment, and $20 for the 10% fee.
GatherTogetherGames so when you mortgage. The bank gives you $200 instead and you hold onto that property? No one can buy it except for you? But you won’t collect rent until you pay back the bank $200 plus 10% interest which is a total of $220?
One thing 50$ is in the center also if they land on luxary or property tax or if a chance or community cheat card says place certain amout of money in the center and free parking allows to collect it
The game ends when everyone is sick of playing Monopoly.

You have to own the property card to put houses on that property. Once you own the property card, you can buy houses at anytime for that property between turns.
@@GatherTogetherGames Yes, but you must have a monopoly before you do so.
The game is really interesting, challenging and some real life situations. However, the game goes long and is a bit hard as you need to understand every single rule.
That's true. 1 of the worst board games I have played.
Thank you but I really didn't understand the mortgaged thing but thx deserve a thumbs up
you just helped me and my family thanks😊❤️
Thank for the instruction vid😃
How does bidding work when only 2 players are playing?
the least amount of players is 3
then who is the bank...? or you playing with the bank
@@senzomavini1697 nobody is the bank
@@moathalbukairi873 Actually, you can play with 2, with one players doubling as the Banker.
Just like how 3 player bids work. Raise the bid until everyone bails out. The last remaining player pays the bid and gets that property.
Thx man uve cleared all the confusion
Well I have been playing the wrong way.
This Wass reallllly really helpful
Adult version: place a shot of your drink of choice on Free Parking. You land on it. You take the shot.
Monopoly but haram
Do you have to buy only the color or any color? Im late I know
You can buy any colored property, but buying the same colored properties gives you access to houses and hotels, a huge advantage.
Monopoly is quite fun if you play by the rules. People say that the game lasts forever but it only lasts that long if you put money in the center of the board and give free money to whoever lands on free parking.
I dunno how people make the game long but I always end up bankrupt and the we get sick of the game
What if I buy a property and the other player lands on the same color property but on the other property of the same colour can they buy it?
Yes, they can buy it.
Next time I play Monopoly, I'm gonna refer to this video.
Trok movo jjs6
question: let say the property cost $300 and mortgage cost $200. you get the mortgage and paid $200. and let say you want to buy the property later, do you need to land on that property again or you can buy it anytime? and if you buy it, do you need to pay $100 plus 10%. but 10% of what amount? or do you need to pay $300 plus 10%?
You can repay the mortgage to the bank at anytime. You will pay back the bank the amount received for the mortgage, plus 10%. So, if you got $200 from the bank for mortgaging a property, you would pay back $220. $200 mortgage repayment, and $20 for the 10% fee.
GatherTogetherGames so when you mortgage. The bank gives you $200 instead and you hold onto that property? No one can buy it except for you? But you won’t collect rent until you pay back the bank $200 plus 10% interest which is a total of $220?
That's right. The bank pays you, and you keep the property. You cannot collect rent until the mortgage plus 10% is paid back to the bank.
Thanks a lot 🙏
I need monopoly friends, I swear I've never gotten sick of this game
I do have monopoly that’s why I am watching this video I wanna know how to play it
One thing 50$ is in the center also if they land on luxary or property tax or if a chance or community cheat card says place certain amout of money in the center and free parking allows to collect it
Nope, that's not in the official rules.
@@AnathexAdventurer Didn't he say put in the comments how you play?
