I just wanna say, you know when people say that they wish they could experience a game for the first time again? Well, that was exactly my experience with this game. It was as if I had never played it before, and I can’t praise a game any higher than that. That ending Soul fight alone made me scream and tear up while playing it, as it made my favorite final boss of all time even better. They really went the extra 1,000 miles for this game, didn’t they? You can’t tell me otherwise. My new favorite game of all time, for sure 💖 Also MAGOLOR IS BEST BOY 😭💙

I love how, during the second phase, you can hear Magolor crying in the background But the Pause Screen however, funny Also, in the JP version, Magolor is much more nicer

All the new difficult and less predictable bosses definitely made this arena a lot more fun. I unironically think that the flock of doomers is the hardest fight. Even harder than the buffed magolor soul ex. That fight is hard, but get's decently consistent after a while. I just don't understand how to dodge the flock of doomers consistently without using guard. Still have managed to beat this without abilities though, but that fight is really hard. I'd say this is now the second hardest true arena after soul melter. With an un-upgraded ability, ultimate cup z is also up there, but with no abilities, it's much easier. (For whatever reason no abilities is probably one of the easier ways of fighting the ultimate cup z. Especially with Chaos Elfilis).
I will say, even casually breezing through it with items like this, I can usually judge pretty well which bosses will give me issues, and which ones will be pretty easy to figure out. I will easily say Rampaging Doomers seems to be the hardest boss of the bunch to deal with. Even the TRUE final boss was starting to become predictable TO A POINT.
@@Meteorz Yeah the final fight is challenging, but it gets relatively consistent. The rampaging doomers on the other hand just suck. I don't think they're a bad fight, (I actually really like the fight), but they certainly weren't designed with challenge runs like these in mind.

Many people mention magolor losing his eyes in the 2nd phase of the magolor soul fight....but one thing I've noticed is how the runes on his arms starts flashing...even further showing that the master crown's power is too much to handle...it's just a personal theory though
Yeah no, the True Arena is actually really good now. I would say that and the other person rightfully said that as well. It's legit really hard now, y'know as a True Arena should be. And Roar of Dedede fits perfectly over the HR-D3 fight like what lol. Dededestroyer Z isn't even techno, it's just a Dedede theme over him in a robot and the one from Planet Robobot isn't suspenseful or dramatic enough. Same with Dededestroyer Z, Roar of Dedede was the best choice and it fits very well. On top of it being a kick ass song.
I swear, HAL is physically incapable of making a bad, or even a mediocre remake. All three of them have been absolutely fantastic. Also it’s hilarious that your complaints about how you could dodge the attacks of the original version of Magolor’s Soul have more or less all been addressed here. Definitely a strong candidate for the title of hardest soul boss in the series (does Void count? I’m honestly not sure).

some of the mask selections are certainly quite weird - throwing in masks like adeleine with her eyes closed and phantom clone dark meta knight instead of things like the fairy queen or dark mind is certainly a head scratcher
Kinda wish the game gave you a little star or indication you did the true arena without using souvenirs. It’s just not the same knowing you can trivialise it.

I’m making a theory right now: What if after Magolor Epilogue, Magolor claimed the crown AGAIN and became even powerful? Then it’s like he had no sense and control of himself at all? I really feel bad for Magolor when he’s trying to talk to you during the boss… (Also I’ve seen attacks that look like Revenge of Dream Land)
Magolor didn't do anything like that, the True Arena fight with him is the "bad ending" so to speak where instead of being freed the crown takes him over completely. Even after he's defeated, he still is trapped fading off into nothing. And those aren't "Revenge of Dreamland attacks" there's literally only one that even resembles one from that hack and it's done miles better by Hal.
46:06 This was my thought exactly, I had a feeling they were gonna give this boss a different track, and Roar of Dedede is a fantastic song, but it feels horridly out of place here, especially since they didn’t remove the chanting from it
Bro you couldn't be more wrong, "horridly out of place" what an insult to how clever and good of a choice it was to make Roar of Dedede HR-D3's second phase theme. Not only is it referencing Dedede's version of HR-D3, which the chants just add to, but the clashing sounds throughout the song sound like metal clanking together. It's dramatic, intense, and is so in place for this fight. I'm so glad you're in the huge minority, you and Meteorz being the only two people who weirdly don't like it.
