I just read up on Vindeman after you mentioned the book. Seems like the kind of book I need to read - a man with values we should all aspire to at a time when the meaning of integrity and honesty seems almost lost to so many.

Thanks Tony! So many good ideas. That last section is a bear. I’ve been playing it on acoustic piano and tend to use more open fourthy voicings. I like the contrast in the chorus of improvisation. Sounds cool to me. I guess I went that way because I compensating for all those changes therefore more difficult with using modes. If you know what I mean? More linear in 2-5-1 parts then more. Chordal in that last section.
Lots more work to stay linear like you demonstrated towards thd end. You are much better than me.

I have the very greatest respect for Tony Winston in his capacity of musician and instructor, but like TF I find the intrusion of politics into these videos disconcerting (whether I agree with the sentiments being expressed or not).
