Excellent Tony, much to munch on.
Green Dolphin Street has become one of my favorites and I truly thank you for all your videos.
Thank you again! this is my go to shedding tune and never get tired of hearing it analyzed.
Great lesson! I'm learning this song and I'm struggling a bit with improvisation. This I will have to dissect this video during my next practice sessions, it has a lot of usefull information and resources. Thanks!
Your videos are very interesting and you explain things very clearly. As a classical musician, I have been playing all sorts of scales and exercises since childhood. But that knowledge, at least for me, does not transfer over very well to improv. I think the reason is that a classical musician ends up thinking, "Hmmm...I know all the notes of the scale that I can use, but which ones should I pick?", where a jazz cat doesn't ask questions...they simply hear what they want to do in their mind and just play it. I have a huge amount of respect for them. I'll fake my way through a few standards once in while in secret, but can swing to save my life. 😂
Great! Thank You!
Thanks a lot. Greatly appreciated.
