      That's right, Roland RD300NX ...the setup is in the description below the video. I still prefer my Kurzweil PC88 for acoustic pianos but this one has a lot more features.... and is lighter in weight. . I thought the acoustic piano sound recorded nicely.

    I got your chord chart with melody sometime ago. Thank you.not in your free music downloads so I must have asked you and you sent? Anyway do you have the backing track to share.
    I’m working in this turn and am ready to start using. Melody and chords are memorized. Need to develop improv.

    The keyboard you are playing really sounded real . Is it a Yamaha? How many keys? Is the stack of 4ths used throughout the song or just near the beginning?

    • @KentHewittpiano88
      @KentHewittpiano88  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a Roland RD300NX. My Kurzweil PC88 is better for acoustic piano, and I still prefer it on gigs. For our trip down south I bring this one because it's lighter. It has 88 weighted keys. The 4ths are throughout the song. I have an earlier video where I went into the voicings more extensively...I was however concentrating more on the comping rhythm for this video. What a nice surprise Kent! Dolphin St. the beach and the sunset.. I vacationed one year in No. Carolina (outer banks) it was terrific...do enjoy your remaining time in the Carolina's...and you are very gracious to teach this wonderful song while on vacation...nothing is more satisfying than being near the ocean, watching a sunset and listening to beautiful music if possible simultaneously!! You never cease to be overwhelming on any
    keyboard....although to be honest I do miss your Baby Grand!!!

    Hey KH! Beautiful change of scenery! But aren't you worried that the Ego man will trash Jazz Ranch North if he's left alone? Love that stacked 4th sound you were using. Your video helped my understand the voicing a little better. I very much enjoy Evans and Silver, but I don't know as much about Jamal. Can you recommend an album?

      Thanks Paul! Ahmad is one of the Greats, and on my top 6 list. I prefer his early recordings, same for Bill Evans. His best album is Live At The Pershing, But Not For Me. The whole album is a masterpiece. including the classic Poinciana. I guarantee you'll be hooked.
