I am a Sea Foam disciple. I have run it in my small motors since the late 90's. I use an ounce to every gallon of gas that I've ever run through a small engine. In the spring I put 2 oz to every gallon for summer storage on my snowmobiles. It fixes everything except rust and dents.
Sea foam is great stuff. I’ve used it in my Jeeps, lawn mower, tractors and atv. It really cleans an engine if you add to the engine oil. I did that to a Passat 1.8L that had severe oil coking, it really removed the sludge.
With a Carb sled its even easier. dump a full can in a near empty tank and run it. When the exhaust starts to fog the seafoam concentrate is getting burned, just turn the choke on full and flood it to a stop. Now you don't need to spray it into the cylinders. that step is done by choking the sled.
I use it in everything! I mow lawns for a living in summer and this will save the day if I run my mower low on fuel and pick up some water. Love sea-foam
I had a ruff running Bayou 300 and was to lazy to clean the carb cause it was super cold outside... Added a full can of Seafoam in the gas tank and after about 15 minutes in running, my ATV was running great again ! By the way you should all clean your carbs ! Don't be lazy !
@@SeaFoamOfficial we have had 1000 machines come through our shop with seafoam in the fuel and not one of them runs, if you want something that works use Fitch fuel Catalyst it is accredited by the EPA and carb
Having trouble starting 2001 Polaris 700 RMK after storage all summer. I have spark and runs for a second with starter spray then dies. Plugs are dry and clean. Doesn't seem to be getting fuel in....any tips?
First, make sure you fuel line is turned on. If that isn't the issue, here's what I'd do: 1) I would siphon the tank gas and put it in my truck...2) create a mix of half can Sea Foam, 1 quart fresh gas, 12 oz bottle of isopropyl alcohol...3) pour it all in the empty tank...4) remove plugs and crank the engine/pull start rope several times to pull the mix through the carburetor circuits...5) let it sit to soak for a day or two, put the plugs back in and try to fire it up. Hope this helps!
@@SeaFoamOfficial Thanks for the tip. Was thinking may need pull the carbs and clean manually? Is there a way to know if fuel is getting pulled into the system when plugs pulled and pulling starter chord?
I do what this video says, then afterward I drain the carbs, and take a piece of fuel line fill the bowls with seafoam/staybil saves me from having to pull the carbs every season
I have about a third of a can of sea foam, there's about half tank of gas and has a rough idle, I want to get it going good now that there is snow will this be enough with the amount of gas I have inside the tank? My sled is the nearly exact to the sled in the video
I have a go kart with a 212cc predator engine that has been sitting for 2-3 years. I tried to start it several times and it would turn over and then die. I let it sit overnight and tried again in the morningand the motor would not turn over. Would Seafoam fix this problem and allow for the motor to start?
Sea Foam will definitely help if your fuel passageways are gummed up/varnish. Remove the fuel, then add a half can of Sea Foam and a pint of fresh gas to the empty tank. Crank it several times to draw the Sea Foam mix into the upper engine. Let it sit for a day or two to soak. If it starts. you resolved a varnish problem. Just add more fresh fuel and go. Let us know what happens!
I put fogging oil in my sled I would like to get it started and add seafoam to clean it. How much seafoam would I add. And would u recommend putting it in spark plug holes and letting it sit to get rid of carbon ? I have a 82 polaris Cutlass
Hi John: Do mean just start it and just let it run to draw through the carburetor circuits? If so, yes, but takes a lot longer for things to go from the tank to the carburetor.
@@jonmclarenproductions3853 Yes - the more heat & compression, the better it cleans the upper engine. In the carburetor it makes no difference because there's no heat inside a carburetor.
Sea Foam sounds like a jack of all trades product like WD40.
Thank you

Do you still need to fog with fogging spray if you do this? Please advise for both carb and CFI motors.
Fogging is better than not fogging.
Only use 91 non ethonal an since have had zero issues. I use to use sea foam with reg fuel but since i switch to no ethonal fuel no need
Did you fill your tank with gas and store the tank full after Winter after the end of this video?
Thank you
Did not.
I always heard that if you leave sea foam in the system it will corrode the fuel lines. Myth?
Never.
Will my snowmobile smoke after seafoam is added?
Should not if added to fuel.
