I have a modded 95 Z28. I have lots of chrome under the hood. When I clean under my engine bay I get a little more adventurous. I pull my chrome alternator, pull out the computer, chrome radiator cover and the entire GMPP cold air induction system. Pop off your power steering reservoir also. I gets nasty underneath that also. I replaced my junction box too.

Nice job on cleaning the car up. Have been an LT1 guy for a long time and bought my first one in 96 which was a 1995 Z. I and my friends did a lot of work to that car over the years and when I was done with her she had a 383 with nitrous that ran a 10.2 @ 133mph in the quarter. They are great cars if you take care of them. I now have a 94 convertible that I swapped a 6.0 out of a truck in and I sure do love it. The wife has a 94 hardtop like yours with a rebuilt motor and a 24x system from torqhead to do away with the Opti.

I haven’t cleaned the engine bay on my C3 ever since I got it, mainly because I don’t want to damage anything and also I don’t drive it often. But I might clean it this weekend using a spray bottle and brush method. Thanks for the video!

i was glad to hear that you're going to touch up the radiator support. making the rest of the compartment look great but leave that one little area that needs touching up was asking for it...

I'm restoring my 94 project trans am from the ground up. Everything that is on it is getting tossed in the garbage.. I have some short videos of my project 94 Trans am on my channel.

Man this makes me miss my 95 z28 red drop top soooo much. Only problem i had with mine was the trans mount would break here and there and the fuel pump went out after a couple yrs. The air conditioner leaked under the passenger side dash also. Other than that the car was perfect. When i bought it it had 35,000 miles on it. When i sold it it had 68,000. It was so fun turning off the traction control and fish tailing around corners lol felt like million bucks

Nice job, always rewarding to do. Personally I would have started with the
    Inside of the hood.

Thanks for this video gave me some good ideas for my 95 Z28 which is by far way more dirty than yours was. My car looked like it was a filthy barn find when I got it and I've got a long ways to go with it it runs and drives but it is filthy for sure

Nice job. Its how I do it on my '86 Trans Am. No way I'm spraying a hose on 36 year old electronics.

I miss my 95z all the time. FYI the shocks always go bad in the front pretty quick.

@@ReynoldsRides ok thanks I want to clean the engine bay on my 95 camaro 3.8 but I’m wonder if it would look as clean as yours and if anything would break.

Never wash the LT1. The Opti spark doesn't like water and the car will never start...

I wash mines all the time. Have had it for 8yrs now.
However i use alot of towels around the water pump/opti and lots of grocery bags to cover it. After im done washing it.. That area i covered up is always dry. 😁 but yeah i dont recommend it either unless you are extremely carefull and only on vented optis.
