Very cool! So many and varied artifacts and nice to see a bit of springtime in the bleak mid-winter.

Heck yeah! Looking forward to Spring already. Definitely a ton of variety in types and material. On a multi cultural site, you never know what you’ll find. Thanks for watching! Lots of great finds throughout our channel.

Thank you very much for watching and commenting! We had a great Christmas, despite a knee surgery for me recently. Gotta get better to hit the fields asap…LOL. Hope you have a great New Year!

The slate piece at 8:03 is a celt preform. Found many of thoes, the piece at 10:30 is a slate celt. Rough but it's one. The one end is polished to a bit. The mark on it is a plow mark from being hit by the plow. Nice active spot you have there. Longevity of occupation there. Best of luck on your future hunts!

Thank you for the info! Definitely looks like a Celt preform….👍 I’ll be looking the smaller one over some more now. We’ve found numerous hard stone Celts out there over the years. It’s been a blessing to have access to this field for quite a few years. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I was just wondering the other day if you guys would have a video out at the end of the year. Looks like you dealt with the same issue we have here with everything in no-till or barely cultivated. But you still got some nice stuff.

It’s definitely been a challenging year for our family after this Spring. Glad to get out when we did and finally get this video put together. Unfortunately we are seeing more and more No till and Strip tilling here. It definitely makes things tough to say the least. Thanks as always for watching and commenting. Best of luck to you this season! Hope you find some killer pieces. Always enjoy seeing your finds.

You ain’t kidding! It was quite a let down to see our best field in that condition this past season. We’ve been so very fortunate over the past few years to have great plowed conditions. Hopefully it’s not what’s to come.

So it’s my opinion that the large white wonky blade, the big brown chert blade, the slate pieces, and the last white “scraper” you found at the end are all “historic” aged artifacts. I live in North Central Illinois near several historic Potawatomi sites where I find those same things. Depending where you are in Indiana; if you’re in the northern part, you may be hunting on old Potawatomi ground yourself. Great finds.

    • @artifactaddiction

We hunt a lot Northern Indiana multi cultural sites so I’m sure we work a lot of Potawatomi ground. I’d bet you and I see a good amount of the same things from Illinois to Indy. Thanks for the info and watching. Very much appreciated. Best of luck this year……👍

I think the bigger slate piece was a Celt preform as someone suggested.
