Thanks, always on the lookout for a good VPN. FYI, I`m in Spain and getting 12 months @ 2.59 euros plus 4 free months with your code. That comes out to 41.44 euros plus tax. Hoping their VPN service is better than their math.
I can't stop smiling. The many parades, celebrations and holidays I remember from my last few trips to Nakhon Phanom are like this - everyone gets smashed and dance to music that is mind-alteringly loud.
I hope Thailand never changes - ever.
unfortunately the West /America is influencing the world for the worst! Rap music with filthy lyrics is popular in a lot of countries. When I traveled to Kenya a few years ago, the local private minibuses were blasting the obscene language in rap music all over the capital city. I had been in Kenya twenty years ago, it was so peaceful with respectful mild mannered folk. Now they were wearing all the clothing from rap artists with jewelry and throwing gang signs. And young people are all drawn to it. I used to get upset when our country was called "The Great Satan" but now I am beginning to believe it! Rap music is gaining popularity in India too where they are forming gangs etc. Now, graffiti is beginning to show up in public areas in India too, just like all of Europe. It is sad to see beautiful architecture defaced in Europe. Just a matter of time, with everyone exposed to the internet.
The Portal in NY was just shut down connecting Ireland after just a few days because of indecent exposure in NY. Everyone in the US said they saw it coming and that it would be just a couple of days before that happened.
I live in Nakhon Phanom! Whereabouts were you?
I love how masculinity is not threatened like in the west, and that’s why I married a Thai.
It was wonderful to see real, authentic Thai people enjoying themselves in a real, authentic Thai village. Thank you bro.
That was crazy, amazing and funny. The Thai's know how hold a street party.
A colourful fun video thank you for sharing Ryan and Damo ❤️❤️
Great village festival ( better than my Thai village celebration last week).
Just in case your Western viewers don’t know, the guys in “black face” are representing a folklore character “Ngo-Pa” (เงาะป่า) which is a costume based on a character that appeared in a Thai traditional play writing from 1906 and a folktale during the 18th century. The character was originally based on an ethnic group, Negrito, in the Southern part of Thailand.
Thanks for pointing that out, will do some research
Thailand has native black (negrito) people too. They are similar to Australia's aborigines. Their population is pretty small and they are getting more assimilated into Thai culture. The official name of their ethnic group is called the "Maniq" people.
ไม่ใช่เงาะป่าครับ..... ผีกะหัง
@@user-hp8vj8uc1v ในคลิปมีทั้งเงาะป่าทั้งผีกระหัง กรุณาดูให้จบก่อนคอมเม้น
Amazing Thailand! Makes me so thankful I live here. In the UK the fun police wouldn't allow such a thing as it would break all their beloved regulations.
No fun allowed in the west!
Love the madness of local Thailand. The land of smiles, smiles better the more you retreat from the heavily populated tourist areas.
Cheers!
I love village life in Thailand. Festivals bring the entire district together with each village/Wat , building their own float for the parade in good natured competition with the neighbouring villages.
Some of your finest work, this is real Thailand and I've seen similar. Well done and an inspiration to how people can live in relative harmony
Ryan this looks so much fun. I hope when I see my soon to be wife’s village it will be even half as much fun. I love the Thai people.
Absolutely brilliant. Love Thailand 🇹🇭 🙏🙏
Thailand at its finest! Been to many Isaan Street parades/parties so much better than the parades in America.
Hahaha Poweline bit was good.
Love the content. Makes me feel nostalgic.
Agreed. Thailand at it's finest.
Great vlog, looks like everyone is having a lot of fun. These are the things that are so uniquely Thailand and thank you both so much for taking us along. Sanuk, sanuk 🎉
Watched most thai Vlogs since COVID like many people...but this is the best vlog yet...put smile on my face and ive lived. Here 10 years
Great video. Nice to see the real Thailand . Having previously lived in Bangkok for 5 years I can tell you the Thais love to have fun , they make the most of life regardless of their situation. We westerners could do well to emulate them !
Oh man... This looks like a whole lot of fun. The best thing about this parade is the randomness of it all. If you're located at the start of the parade, there is no way you can predict what you're gonna see in the middle or at the end of it. This is just amazing.
THIS is why we love the Thai people!
A side to Thailand I had not yet seen! Many thanks.👍👍
Hilarious loved it. I guess I will be experiencing more of that when I make my move rural😂❤
The Happiest people 🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭
Wonderful. At 65, I''m a sucker for any parade. I love them all. U.S., GB, Japan, Thailand. But I have to admit, Japan can do parades!
Brilliant, typical fun village party. We can't wait to live in my wife's village in Buri Ram.
You're absolutely right about the UK not allowing such things. Unless they're waving pr1de and pal35t1n1an flags of course.
The west is bu115h1t now!
And to those grumpy b@5t@rd5 who say it's just a load of drunks, have they seen the pictures of UK cities on Friday & Saturday nights? Disgraceful!
Thanks for all the great videos of rural Thailand Ryan, keep up the good work. The only thing is they make us miss Thailand more :(
See you in Buri Ram one day.
That was cool! Like Mardi Gras in USA.
I look forward to the time when I'll be able to experience the local festivals like this. Thank you for sharing!
I have no idea what I just witnessed, but thank God for different cultures and celebratory festivals. Looked like strange, weird fun! Glad you all had fun, laughter and smiles. Traditions can be very strange. Lol.
Where can I find this music? Shazam aint working! Love the vibe, the energy of the Thai people and how everyone is on on the same level….non of this status crap in the UK! Thank you for posting….
It is called Molam (หมอลำ in Thai) and is traditionally from central Thailand or Isaan very popular and it is my favorite music and veeery interesting lyrics.
Just search northeastern thailand traditional music
Press. " PIN. ISAAN SONG. " in. Google
Many traditional cultures had festivals like this. Great way to release.
A most enjoyable 18 minutes of entertainment, and imho, it beautifully showcases the happy, friendly and fun nature of most Thais. Thank you for sharing. Greetings from Australia.
Thank you Ryan 😊
That was great fun....
The parade🎉🎉🎉
This would be a quiet day in San Francisco! 😅 Looks like fun mate! 😂
Love this episode! It's not as if most of those people have an easy life, so let them enjoy such events every now and then. Also fun to watch are the two drunk guys behind you during your outro (at 17:20), swaying about and 'dancing'. There might be some headaches tomorrow!
"It takes a village to raise a child" is a proverb that means that an entire community of people must provide for and interact positively with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment. Celebrating every tiny moment of happiness to that village person including you and your loved ones.
Takes a village to grope children 🤭
Don't kid yourself. Children are abandoned in villages by parents who go to work in city and send little money to grandmas/friends to watch children lol. Literally no parental monitoring or father's involved. Why do you think boys start dressing like women?
As a foot note...every good party ends with a good ole Donnybrook!
Been that way for centuries hahaha, get amongst it Ryan !!!
I love to see your village get-togethers! Any excuse for a party👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. This creates a close community😁
I've had so much I've wanted to say about your last few videos that I've ended up saying nothing. I assumed there'd be so many comments comments you probably wouldn't have the time to read them. Anyway, Ryan, thanks for another great video. I hope someday to actually connect for a few minutes, but I'm sure you hear that from hundreds of the people who follow you.
Maybe someday. 🙏
the 2 fellas behind you stumbling around at the end of the video look like they had a great time! hardcase, looks like a laugh totally jelly
Great video. Thank you 🙏 wanted to take my boy to see bang Fai this year as we play the song in the car on the way to school most days 😂 maybe next year.
being a cop in Thailand looks so much more chill... than being a cop in the US. lol
Hahahaha. Fantastic. I have been to a small village outside of Roi Et where my friends wife is from. They have a yearly festival (rockets) to bring in a good harvest. Loved it every time. Smaller than that village. Yes, everyone has a great time. All locals and visitors, no walking street and just great family fun. 👍😇❤️
A colourful and fun video great job
Looks like a lot of fun. I laughed and smiled all the way through.
I have never seen this version of bun bang fai before. 😀 God I hope Thailand keeps it's fun easy going open side and doesn't turn into the uptight restrictive West
Wonderful video brada ❤
You’ve captured this brilliantly mate 😂
I’ve been to quite few of these similar festivals over the years but as soon as I see that music bus coming that’s my cue to leave 😂
Thanks for sharing-! Fun! Damo it was fun!
Wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing this experience sir
Great to see real Thailand 👍
Not a crazy place at all 😂
I love this village gatherings and festivals, weddings, funerals. entering the monkhood, fireworks etc. They are all and excuse to escape the hum drum, often boring, or repetitive lives that they lead. It is always good fun except later on when the liquor has flowed all day and someone takes exception to someone else and it all kicks off. As you said Ryan, in many ways no different from parties, weddings and funerals in UK where vast quantities of alcohol or other substances are involved. However, things are much more colourful here in rural Thailand, and there is always something going on. Glad that you were able to catch the fun element of the parade on camera. God bless you both and the family 😀❤🙏
Remains of home coming parade for high school in Canada. Lots of fun the village
Pure unedited Isaan, loving it.
The opening clips looked like the videos about Soi 6 and Soi Bukhao Pattaya!
This type of vlog is what is driving me to come to Thailand. Fun attitude… pissed traffic warden that made it for me!! Hilarious 😆
Would not be banned in UK. Have you never been to Manchester Pride?. Its far "worse"
Absolutly brilliant love it! 😄😍
Shaking their willies around...haha a very British phrase Thais everywhere nowadays have the big amps., speakers, and bass woofers so loud, many times distorting, yet all for fun and partying ... Smiley Happy People having fun! Great episode again Ryan and Mo . Thanks guys!
Nice mate....
similar to my wife's village near Ubon...except this is yai mak 😮❤
In Louisiana the groups are called krewes, in Brazil blocos, do they have a name for the different floats and groups? Many different words on the Caribbean island, since we are many nations.
Still, I am a big carnival reveler! Travel to carnivals! Hahahah another reason to land in Thailand!
Fun video, they are open, fun, natural beings! Much love to them all!
Dude ! That looks like so much fun…
Ting Tong Town....they are a Happy People 😅😅😅
We,ve seen them washing the power lines in hua hin😂
Most excellent!!
Ya my wife is udon thani and I love it every time I come.love your videos
Love it ! 🎉
Allways a good watch 🎉
What a fun and interesting video..!
3.50 Can you please tell them to tune that damn Banjo LOL!!
Not power lines. All the cable TV etc! Everywhere in Thailand.
Some are power lines overhead. You can tell by the insulators on the poles. But yes, many of the cables are coax, fiber optic, and old phone lines.
I would love to see this parade ext year. The area I live in SW of Chaing Mai doesn’t seem to have anything fun like this.
This is the real rural Thailand.
❤😂👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Just made my Saturday! Have a great evening! 💞💞💞💞
micks thai travels we get alot of peculiar parties all the time in our village as well
It must be something in the water or whisky
😂great video fella
I was expecting Santa Claus at the end 🤣🤣🤣
That was fantastic.
I have lived in Chiaphum and Chanthaburi presently, Chiaphum has more festive holidays. What province is this in Issan ?
What festival is this.
Not seen it elsewhere in Issan
Beautiful peaceful people 👌
Looks much safer than Notting Hill Carnival 🤣
Very Nice!
The traffic warden at the end 😂😂
😂😂
i thought it was going to be boring,
But it wasn't had to watch right to the end😅😅😅
One thing I love about Isaan, is they certainly know how to party 🕺🏼💃🏽🕺🏼💃🏽🕺🏼💃🏽
The Thai's know how to party mate.Love it! Sanook maak!
Another example why Thailand so great, they’re just living and enjoying. Having been there many times just seems like another normal day. 😅 👍
All good fun
This is your local village?; looks lively
It is not their fault as beer is more expensive than rice liquor lao kao. Rual Thailand is the best.Cheers from Nong Khai
The first thing this morning, my Thai wife told me she was going to party Ban Fai and she would be home late. So, I will have to take care of myself today.
8:00 These are internet lines not power lines they're not that dangerous.
Obesity seems to be as big a problem in your village as it’s in Britain and the US. It is a sign that Thailand is becoming a wealthy country and of course diabetes is/will become a major problem in the future a potential catastrophy. I would be interested to find out if it’s the same in Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos.
Lots of sugar in the food 👍
Yes i noticed it happening in vietnam last time I was there as well. Ultra processed western food 🤢
It took 20 years to go from no obesity to 40-50% obesity. I suspect 7-11….
Kinda sad seeing locals move away from their traditional food. Funny how westerners go to Asia and lose weight
Maky D , and KFC .didn't see so many 20yrs ago
so many enjoy activities and exciting rocket festival🚀🎉
Yeah you know, this is the best life I ever had....🌞👁️🌞
thailands like another world
Great parade. No sense of shame, no people saying "you can't do that"... just nice people enjoying their life!
They love it!
This looks a great laugh. You are in the Buriram province right?
Where was this at
