Huge congrats to Adam for being featured. One of a kind setup and as has been mentioned in the video a few times - make sure to check out his podcast Beyond The Reef, it is some next level content for us reefers.
Extremely talented. Though I personally adore his goals. Seeing a heavy emphasis on coral aquaculture and a desire to further captive spawning is always nice to see and hear. They are two directions I personally hope the marine industry and more importantly the marine hobby continue to take. And vendors like Frag Garage are well positioned to take advantage of both.
That's an amazing system but I'm left with a million questions. He probably didn't have 90 minutes for a full tour, but that's OK, I'll just check out his podcast. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, WWC!
He is in Victoria? I am going there on Monday. Does he allow anyone to drop by and see things like in a retail shop or does he keep it private and only sell online?
Your systems are amazing. I have almost pulled the trigger ordering from you multiple times but the prices are just a bit too high compared to what I can buy from other reefers. Your corals are stunning.
Thanks! Yes, it can be hard to compare to local prices sometimes, but I do my best. I bring a lot of experience shipping (free $500+) and never sell a frag I wouldn't be happy to receive if I were the customer.. No micro frags! Keep an eye out for the boxing week sale ;)
I'm not too concerned about it to be honest.. If they're designed to hit 100% I'm sure Ecotech designed them to have some headroom, as long as the fan covers are well maintained. If I get slightly less life out of them, it's worth it, but if someone tells me 90% will increase the lifespan by a fair margin, I'd consider bringing them down a littlle.?? They only peak with every channel for about 4 hours and the rest is ramp up and down. I also forgot to mention in the video that I run 4x 80watt T5 for 4 hours per day too. The Radions are XR15; only a portion of the cocktail of light hitting my corals.
@@fraggarage5922 thanks Adam. I was mainly asking as I run Ai hydra's and I have ran them at 100% but after 5-6 years the led's and some lenses burnt out in all 3 fixtures. I was thinking of adding more fixtures just so I could dim down to 80% Radions might be better though as there leds are spaced out over the entire fixture where as hydra's are condensed into a small puck. Thanks again.
generally 100-1 nitrate to phosphate. I care more about the ratio than the numbers, but currently 10/0.1.. Lots of good info discussing nutrients on some of my podcasts ;) I feed a mix of frozen foods every day and coral foods along with bacteria 2-3 times a week.
@@fraggarage5922 are you dealing with stn/rtn sometimes? If yes what you think is the cause and what you can do against it. I often struggle with tenuis and millepora with stn with not apparent reason as the parameters seems in range

Thanks!
I'll be purchasing from adam at grag garage in do time. Just setting up a 225 gallon reef.
Holy shit I had no idea Adam was so jacked from the podcast haha

That’s got to be a few hundred thousand by the frag… well done sir!

Friggin amazing, my goodness. I wonder how much if at all fish play a role in coral spawning. That or flow cycling.
Beautiful corals!!!😍
Great video!
Thanks for watching!
Adam is awesome.
Such a legend
Could you share the light profile for LPS?
mantap bro
Hey Adam, when running your radions 100% how long do you run them for. And have you noticed a less of a life span with them running 100%?

I add flouride daily
Are you finding any interesting observations with it?
Do you out plant any of your coral in the ocean?
He's in canada
That doesn't work here.
Did not know. Thank you!
Not many fish. His colors pop like crazy
they're mostly under the racks in the video I think, but I do keep 4-5 large tangs/rabbitfish and 10-15 smaller fish per side.
Reef moonshiner?
He's got some bangers in there egh?
Without a doubt bud 🍻
What is the bacteria you speak of?
The idea of soaking coral food in bacteria comes from Coral Reeftank (Allan Vo). Adam and Allen dive into the subject in full details on his podcast!
you say nothing about his nutrients levels...and nothing about his feeding regiment

Big fan from Canada Adam. Always listening to your pods.

Adam is awesome. She needs to learn how to interview. The video wasn't good.
Hi Mickinleytam! Nicole here, trying my best 🥲thanks for watching.
Well there's an ass for every chair.
Pretty rude and unnecessary comment.
She's kind of hot tho, my cup of tea at least. lol
let’s see you interview people and compare…..
