Please don't let this be your only visit with Juno. I enjoyed hearing her so much. You can really tell how much she just loves the corals. She seems to be a fun person to discuss corals and the hobby. I think that this will be one of those videos that I find myself rewatching several times. Great video Sam. More Juno please.
Thanks for the kind comments! I do hope to return back to Monsoon in the not too far future, there is even more happening at the facility that I hope to share with you all soon. And yes of course, see all of my friends at Monsoon who are unbelievably more passionate about this hobby than even me!

Wowzwers! i wish that was my neighbor. Amazing facility! Love the tours lately, taking your time , letting them talk and focus on all the straight porn.
Wow that was absolutely incredible...sad she didn't talk about my absolute favourite when she was right next to it for so long...my eyes were pooping like crazy waiting for her to talk about them😂
@@ParkersReef I was thrilled to see them selling in the US! It's the first time I have seen them aquaSD has a bunch of their corals listed. My only grumble point is that the aquacultured scolys cost just as much as the fully grown out non aquacultured counterparts. On one hand I recognize that it takes money to grow the corals out, but on the other hand, it's hard to buy a wedge shaped frag when the whole coral is the same price, especially if the price is $350usd.
What a great video Sam! All i could say throughout the video was wow! Mind blowing corals! What a great job they are doing . I wish we could buy direct from them. I have to talk to my LFS to get in contact with them. Thanks mate!
This farm is what got me wanting those Amazonas 960, its so hard to find solid information about them. Did any conversations ever come about those lights?
yeah, the team at Monsoon love them! With this many light fixtures, usual home reef style lights weren't working so well due to all of the wifi signals. The team were constantly adding and removing them from the wifi network. Switched to these simple fixtures and never looked back :)
@@ParkersReef After reading all the research they put in and just how dedicated they are to coral health I decided I was saving up to get those same lights. What wild farm this is.
Yeah the entire facility is spotless, a true testament of the continual work the team does! Monsoon sure do sell plenty to the USA, but yes, wholesale only. Hopefully the team can share who they sell to in the states so you can track some of these corals down!
I usually use a brown filter (believe it or not!) and then just adjust the colours in post processing from there. If the spectrum isn't too blue, you wont even need the brown filter - but it is handy if a lot of blue led is present
I dont remember exactly how, but I ran across Bundaberg a few months ago and decided I wanted to move there.... unfortunately I am American so it would be tough to get there...
@@ParkersReef Indeed. I love hot humid climates, the ocean, lots of nature to explore, and a bit of a smaller type town/city atmosphere... Australia seems to be a place where you can be yourself and do your own thing, without anyone really caring, as long as you conduct yourself reasonably, and you aren't a dickhead.
At this point in time the tanks are running conventional wave makers at one end with gyres mid way. However, there is some research and development being invested in this space and the team will hopefully have some things to share soon
@ParkersReef Thank you for the reply! I ask because I'm very strongly considering using the 960's over my reef and will be mounting them quite high, similar to how Monsoon has done it. What did you think of the 960s vs. the radions as you looked at the xorals?
the lights in the first building are Orphek's. They make a light that is a commercial grade normally used in public aquariums. It is a full spectrum light, but certainly does have a fairly blue spectrum in it at the moment.
