Were I Kharne the Betrayer, I'd be furious that the Dark Gods would fill me with power while I was dueling Sigismund. That's probably why he's so angry because in the back of his mind, he will ALWAYS know that he should have died 10,000 years ago on Sigismunds blade but like a COWARD needed his Chaos Sugar Daddy to survive. For a man like Kharne THAT is his personal Hell, to know that in the moment it really counted, his own skill and strength FAILED
I still think they are going to do a FINAL Kharn vs Sigimhnd battle where kharn “dies.” The last battle when kharn was “empowered” felt off and against that old lore. There is to much emotional weight for Sigismund to not cut down Kharn in his hunt for Abaddon…
@Brendon Landis I’ve read it… your point? We know how Sigismunds story ends. But we don’t know how Kharn “dies” the first time at the battle of terra. There are very few characters outside of a primarch that can stop Kharn (maybe Corswain or Roladon). Simply put; Kharn is slated to “die” at Terra and then be resurrected by Khorne; and with Sigismund on the hunt for Abaddon it makes sense that as Emperors Champion that he kill Kharn…
@Brendon Landis but that’s the lore.. Kharn only died once; at the battle of Terra. With him and Sigismund being friends; it makes a perfect literary sense for them to fight to the death.
The 7 things that to me make Sigismund one of my all time favorite characters in the era of 30k, 1. Even by the standards of Space Marines Sigismund was an absolute God-Tier Warrior and Duelist 2. He was best bros with Kharn before Kharn went crazy 3. When he was named the Emperors Champion his sole order from Dorn was to find every single champion of Chaos and slaughter them violently and brutally 4. Sanguinius praised Sigismund for his skills at killing the enemies of humanity, calling him "Death Incarnate" 5. Sigismund was able to hold his own for a short while against Daemon Primarch Fulgrim 6. He Became the First High Marshall of imo the coolest successor chapter, The Black Templars and when Abaddon launched his first Black Crusade, Sigismund got shit done and had his forces up almost immediately 7. Sigismund managed to seriously wound Abaddon by shoving his Black Sword through Abaddon's chest only to be killed by Abaddon shortly after and with his dying breath, he uttered one of the most badass last words in 40k, 'You will die as your weakling father died. Soulless. Honourless. Weeping. Ashamed.’ And Abaddon considered Sigismund such a worthy enemy that he had his body and sword back in pristine condition out of respect.
8. He was level headed and possessed wisdom to realised a cold reality of human nature of limitless need to master space and fear of loosing it. He stated " In the far future, there will be only war".
Well man can even speak about God damn commercial and give me chills, and that's why he will always be most humble chapter master librarian claiming to be servitor
Love it, however I feel you missed one thing dear bard. Sigismund has the most important quote in all of warhammer... "We will spend our lives fighting to secure this Imperium, and then I fear we will spend the rest of our days fighting to keep it intact... In the far future, there will be only war"
@@MrBandholm well! How interesting. It is also in the Horus Rising book, he says it to Loken. Tells him off for being naive when Loken is talking about the end of the crusade.
@@JimboDoomface I don't doubt that, I just wanted to point out that there are something like 18+ years between the two, in case someone thought that it was invented for the HH books.
‘They say that he always kills with one cut,’ says Morn. ‘Only when he isn’t swinging his sword like a farmer swatting flies,’ Rann chuckles, though the words drain to cold sincerity. ‘He has looked defeat in the eye, and smelled its breath too, but no one mentions that.’ ‘But you do?’ ‘I can say what I like of him. I have bled for the right. And - no matter how good he is - he would take more than a scar if he decided to take offence. You do not have that right, no matter who you are.’ ‘But is it true that he has never been defeated, never lost a duel, never failed?’ ‘Never,’ says Rann with a shake of his head. ‘It’s one of the things that make him so difficult to like.’ ‘Let us hope that he will not break the habit.’ Alert sirens sound. ‘Breach impact countdown commencing.’ - Few words about Sigismund "Templar" - John French The White Scar spun his weapon, then snapped it to stillness. Dirty rivulets of water streamed down the creases of his face. ‘Do you not want to know my name?’ Sigismund looked up into the grey of his opponent’s eyes. Jubal Khan - Lord of Summer Lightning, and the Death that Comes with Laughter - was still smiling at him. ‘I know your name,’ he replied. ‘Good.’ Jubal looked into Sigismund’s eyes and nodded. The White Scar held his glaive low at his side, the edge facing back. Sigismund watched him, weighing the rhythm of his stillness, listening to the instant stretch out. A single droplet of water formed on the blade’s point. His pulse was still in his chest. His hearts paused between beats. The drop of water fell. Jubal whirled forwards. Sigismund cut down, and his opponent spun back, his blade a blur around his body. Sigismund swung again and again, his sword like a smear of steel and scattered rain. He was scything low and high, blade whistling, and the White Scar laughed as he ducked a cut and leapt into the air. The guan dao’s edge winked as it arced down. Sigismund froze. Jubal’s eyes were wide above bared teeth as his blow fell. Sigismund jerked aside, the curved razor-edge sighing as it passed his head. His sword flashed out. Jubal pulled back, snake-fast, his glaive rising, and for the first time the two blades clashed with a ring of steel. Sigismund came forwards, hammering blows down one after another, feeling the sword shuddering in his grasp as the rain streamed past his eyes. The White Scar’s face was locked into a snarling mask, his smile gone. Soaking hair whipped above wide eyes as he ducked and spun aside. The guan dao was a razor blur, the play of weapons a spiral of slices and parries. ‘You are everything they say you are…’ Jubal called out. Sigismund saw the slight twitch at the corner of his eye, and slid past a sudden thrust. ‘…and you are more.’ The words washed over Sigismund. In his mind there was only the feel of his own sword, only the play of cuts and angles and balance that flowed through him like blood and breath. Like life. Jubal leapt again, twisting like a bladed hurricane. He was fast, so very fast. ‘But you are missing something, for all your skill!’ He flicked his blade out and cut down, and Sigismund raised his sword to turn the glaive. He felt a blow ring against his forearm, and then Jubal was stepping back, sodden, topknot flicking to the side. Sigismund glanced down at his arm. The links of the chain binding the sword to his wrist had been severed. Sigismund lunged. Jubal swayed like a tree in the wind, and the sword sliced through empty air. An armoured heel flashed out and snapped Sigismund’s head back with a crack of bone and a spray of blood. Rainbow explosions detonated in his vision. The cries of the watching White Scars roared into the deluge. Sigismund reeled, his own blood blinding him, thoughts raging inside his skull: anger, and pain, and doubt, and… Everything was still. He let the drumbeat of his hearts roll through him. His world was the moment, his existence was the sword in his hand. There was nothing else. There needed to be nothing else. Jubal’s next move was already unfolding. Sigismund could not see it, he could not see anything, but he could feel it, like the silence before thunder. His sword met the blow. The force of the impact shook his teeth in his skull. He felt his sword move, felt it ring as it deflected strike after strike. He was going backwards, his vision a clotting blur, his feet skidding in the mud. Jubal was a scything spiral, delivering blow after blow. He was fast, faster than the wind, faster than the blink of distant lightning. But there, suddenly - like a flicker of sunshine through storm clouds - was an opening. Sigismund shifted and cut downwards. He felt the impact, and struck twice more before the clang of the first strike had faded. Then Jubal was gone, spinning back out of reach. Sigismund paused, checking his instinct to follow the White Scar. The sound of rain pattering on ceramite filled the waiting quiet. Jubal stood once again at the edge of the circle. Blood marked his armour, diluting in the rain as it ran over the ivory-white plates. The guan dao was steady in his grip, but his left arm was twisted, the elbow joint leaking red. His gorget was crumpled, and cracks spidered his right thigh plate. The dancing glimmer had gone from his eyes - his gaze was suddenly older, patient, knowing. ‘I will not beat you,’ said Jubal, and there was weariness in his words. ‘I know this. You know it too.’ His lips cracked wide to show sharp, white teeth. ‘But the song was worth the singing.’ Sigismund opened his mouth, forming words with a jaw that felt broken. ‘You were beaten because you lack focus.’ ‘And you lack joy.’ ‘We exist to serve.’ ‘And there is nothing more?’ Sigismund shook his head. ‘Nothing more.’ Jubal looked around, blinking, as though seeing the watching ranks of legionaries for the first time. Then he turned back to Sigismund, and spun his weapon with his good arm. ‘Come, let us finish this,’ he said. - Jubal khan vs Sigismund ‘Sigismund,’ Abaddon said, through lips darkened by his own lifeblood, ‘this claw has killed two primarchs. It wounded the Emperor unto death. I would have spared it the taste of your life, as well. If you could only see what I have seen.’ As I stared through Abaddon’s eyes, I confess I expected the triteness of some knightly oath, or a final murmur in the Emperor’s name. Instead, the ruined thing that had been First Captain of the Imperial Fists and High Marshal of the Black Templars spoke through a mouthful of blood, committing the last of his life to biting off each word, ensuring he spoke each one in shivering, sanguine clarity. ‘You will die as your weakling father died. Soulless. Honourless. Weeping. Ashamed.’ Sigismund’s last word was also his last breath. It sighed out of his mouth, taking his soul with it. ..." @@Danno_87 No, he killed Jubal in the Heresy, then Sigismund a thousand years later. Sigismund was OLD then, even by Astartes standards. But he still wounded Abaddon near to death.
Though his crusade ended in his death the wounds he left on all the enemies of the imperium still bleed to this day and let those wounds blood draw the eyes of his crusading sons. I’ve been looking forward to this video all week and I must thank you for your work good sir
@@Baldermort Thank you so much for the mental image of a bald man, crouched in a cushion fort, screaming into a microphone about the necessity of the Black Crusade. What a time to be alive!
Don't know if this feature was available when this was released, but I wanted to come back and just help support and also recognize/highlight how incredible this is. The Emperor's light still shines.
I’m still new to warhammer )like 6 years at this point and I just wanna point out how crazy that is to say that you have been following some thing for six years and still consider yourself a novice but I Only read the book and have no order in which I’m doing it so I slowly piece things together as I learn them, but I have a question…
I was thinking Draco from the gray night was probably the best astartes warrior ever? I mean to just go to the warp/hell and start fucking shit up within On the enemy’s territory seems pretty epic to me no? 🤷♂️
This gave me goosebumps. Especially your narration of Sigismund's end. Excellent, fantastic work Baldermort. I've never been disappointed by any of your videos but this one is something else!
Though I am first and foremost a Space Wolves fanboy, Baldermort my friend, you have made the Black Templars a close second. Outstanding as always!!!!!
The Emperor Champion, the Sword of Vengeance and Fury, and the First Grand Marshal of the Black Templar’s. He is by far the most deadliest warrior that the Imperium has ever produced and none since then have even come close to his caliber.
One other thing not touched on that can show Dorn still and high regard and trust in his son was giving his son the Gloriana class battleship Eternal Crusader. This mighty vessel is one of the gifted flagships of the Primarchs and have few equals in the galaxy. Dorn gave this to be his sons’ new fortress monastery as they would hold no home bar the oath to always be the swords edge of the imperium into the night.
I recently decided to finally get into 40k after wanting to for years and your videos have convinced me that the Black Templars will absolutely be my first army
A full-hour Baldermort video on a Friday afternoon is my favorite treat. Your Black Templar videos are my favorite. Love the nods to Greek mythology you pointed out. I've always been partial to Diomedes the only one to wound a god. Helsreach was my first full Warhammer novel and I am beyond excited for the Black Templars range refresh.
Started getting into warhammer recently. Was reading up on all the chapter and nothing really caught my eye next to space wolfs for the viking astetic. Then your black templar videos have inspired me. Thank you, i shall make Sigismund proud.
The sheer intensity and passion slapping me in the face as soon as I opened the video is simply gloooorious brother! The Black Templars being well portrayed, and with Sigismund himself as the subject, oooh brother, this is good!
May the Emperor grant the traitors mercy for he, for The Emperor's Champion, has none to give. Emphasis on 'has' for even in death his wrath still burns ... like that of brand new star. [It is my personal belief that the Emperor takes the souls of the his slain angels of death and turns them into members of the Legion of the Damned, and has been doing so for some degree since the Istvaan III and V atrocities. I can only imagine that the spirit of Sigismund is leading from the front amongst the souls of the Imperium's greatest heros, and maybe even Ferris Manis against the demon hords of chaos]
At the end, I took my shirt off and yelled out the window, just so any xenos that might be out there among the stars can hear my fury. WELL DONE, you magnificent -humble servant- Venerable Orator.
Amazing work, as always. The only correction I would make is that the Eisenstein escaped the Istvaan III atrocity, where the Sons of Horus, World Eaters, Emperor's Children and Death Guard turned on their loyalist marines. Dorn learned from Garro about the betrayal of Horus, Mortarion, Fulgrim and Angron, and ordered the attack on Istvaan V.
it would be like when Kharn beat the shit out of Erebus 3x in one duel. Only that Sigismund ain't giving 3 chances. Abaddon will get murked from the get go.
@@mikek5322 you misunderstood. He occupies the same role in the story. He is more than these twos match. His archetype is the wisened warrior who was dishonored yet never strayed from his truth. To alter a quote of selmy: "I am a Templar, and I will die a templar." His death also served a greater purpose. He is now the martyr, the beacon that Luke Skywalker will aspire to be. Or, in his case, his legion. His last words to the great dark lord abaddon "you shall die as your father died. Disgraced soulless honorless." unsettled him just as Ben kenobis words of "if you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine." It is the character principle i love the most. The betrayed one who can never return to where he was most respected due to the plots of villains, but even still will not turn away from his beliefs, ideals, or virtues. The truest heroes. The unshakable who defy the world by refusing to bow.
@@wiccanthropy1956lmao it’s easy to be heroic when you’re just a figment of some one’s imagination. The same as you people imagining you doing heroic deeds in your mind. But you don’t do them in the real world because it’s not easy
The last few minutes of absolute RIGHTEOUS ZEAL literally brought tears to my eyes and simultaneously a BURNING FERVOR to my heart. You sir, have touched the very soul of this fan of Sigismund and the Black Templars of over 10+ years. For a fandom that still so little know about, for a sub faction within a faction in a story so vast even the most pretention scholars have difficulty keeping major details simply organized...you sir never cease to amaze and captivate. Thank you sincerely for bringing to life something so special to so many devout followers of the Black Templars and the hobby. I wish you many years of good health and more importantly, happiness to keep on doing what is clearly a passion. Cheers Baldermort. Forever a Reclusiarch of MY Great Crusade.
Marvelous, stupendous, insert many more verbs of high praise here! This, this is what I listen for. Lore, an orator of skill and distinction. With the added bonus of their own 2 cents of perspective. Bravo! Hector was always the better Man, and worship is but a pantomime of faith. But now comes the worst part, the waiting. For this merely wets my hunger for your own workings of The Thaddeus with Sigismund reborn. May Hectors always live to fight again.
I cannot wait to listen to this on my shift, I usually listen to these amazing works of oratory art when I'm at work, but I have to let my appreciation for the hours upon hours of entertainment this amazing servo skull provides, May the Emperor bless you!
I AM SO HYPED!!! This presentation was incredible!!! The music and sound design, the rapid fire delivery, the artwork, the right script and that glorious voice. I’ve watched ALL of your content, and this is by far my favorite. You’ve gotten better and better with time and this was truly excellent.
So many things I could say, yet I am speechless. I could speak of the time and effort you put into this video, but I think nothing could be as effective as simply saying: I had the chills watching this masterpiece of a video. May the Emperor protect you, Lord Baldermort!
An awesome piece of lore you put together Baldermort. You are the right man to give the Black Templars a voice. Thank you for keeping up the older 40k alive.
Thank you Baldermort. I can't thank you enough for making a video for my favorite character in Warhammer 40k. In addition I feel extremely happy seeing your channel grow from 1.5k subs to what is it now. I'll continue to be one of your loyal fans.
Once more, mighty Lord Master. I implore you to cover the accursed Halo device. A heretic artifact that heals its user of ailments, only to transform them into a hybrid monster of a bygone age.
I am at a loss for words for how good this is...Amazing, does not even begin to do it justice...Thank you for the best lore content I have ever seen Baldemort! I know you work hard on this, and it shows with every video you make!
Amazing work, Baldermort! The intro set the stage perfectly, the music was a new and fun choice, Mrs B did a great job! Definitely made my lunch that much better
Well worth the wait, thanks alot, brother Baldermort I particularly enjoyed the delivery of Sigismund's last words, spot on, and also the little stabs at Warpsquirrel Cawl and the events surrounding him as well as your views on the Eternal Crusade. For stuck up Fists the Black Templars are alright. It definitely is time the Traitor Primarchs get active again although I would prefer another than the Choirboy. In any case, awesome work once again, thanks from the snowy mountains!
Found this channel and bought my first minis yesterday because despite knowing about 40k I wasn't super interested until listening to your stories. Can't wait to listen to the rest while I paint.
58:38 these statements at the end of the video made me shiver. I didn't expect such a brutal, clear and true explanation in defense of Sigismund and the Black Templars. Congrats !
Equal to the story you gave of achilles, one could say Abbadon is similar also to Bauldr of Norse mythos whom was slain by mistletoe in the form of a dart shot by Loki.
Absolutely brilliant as always! Your storytelling and insights into the grim dark always move me. While I will always be a son of Fenris. This wolf knows when to bare his neck to the better hunter.
You have a true talent, sir. Please continue your great work. As a historian I can say, it is one thing to recount a subject. But to give it life as if it was happening before our very eyes, and with words no less, is truly a special skill few such as you possess. I eagerly look forward to your next video.
"Words that have resounded through history, and have evaporated the vertebra and opened the sphincters of the witch, the traitor, the mutant, and the heretic since they were first said! No pity! No remorse! No mercy! ................... Toodle-oo." -Baldermort 2021 What an absolute madlad. Amazing video!!!
I’m ready! Been super excited for this entry since it was announced. Hit us once again with your amazing story telling and that delicious lore brother Baldermort
I can but humbly concur to what many others have already said here before I got to it: An awesome story told with peerless narrative skill. My hat is off to you, Baldermort. Very, VERY well done.
Just a massive well done. I am biased as a massive Templar fan but still, this is amazing work. Thank you Baldy. You are an amazing story teller, not just the way you tell them but the editing of the information to make it into a beautiful story. Thank you for your work, you are appreciated!
The delivery of Abbadon’s line at 46:01 god damn dude. With that one line I genuinely believe that Abbadon has seen some wild shit in the warp that makes being a heretic make sense
Oooh yess, I was waiting for that one. Gonna enjoy dinner over this. Currently reading and close to finishing the Solar War book and got my first glimpses of what a man Sigismund is. This is gonna be great!
Even though I admittedly play Chaos, I’d be lying if I said the thought of doing a Black Templar army never crosses my mind from time to time. This video may have just pushed me over the edge!
Wow, just wow. Think this amongst your very best and I’ve heard all your videos. I had literal goosebumps listening to your rousing concluding speech or should I say battle cry!
That last two minutes or so… that was an ethos brought to life. Masterpiece of a video, I honestly saved it for a good workout day. Well worth the wait!
Superb delivery of each an every line of the lore Baldermort. Each line with the adequate emphasis, the utmost fitting tone, the best delivery and the greatest dramatization it could ever hoped to be heard. But what baffles me the most is the fact your passion for this universe has led you to become the very thing you revere: the 40K's Lore champion. In your stalwart defense of the lore in its most heroic, dazzling and passionate state, narrating all the feats as an ancient speaker with tantalising mythology tales, you've created such inspired content also adding your own vision to it, enhancing the experience and connecting the lore of Warhammer to its cultural influences (like real greek mythology) and your personal vision of the 40K universe. You truly are a man with remarkable talent, a mere man, but an unparalleled one, one that uses such passion to be the best at what he does: cultivating and expressing his desire to keep and improve the lore of this beloved franchise, that is Warhammer 40K. Thank you sincerely, Champion of the Lore and I hope we'll see more of your amazing content for more months or even years to come. I was reluctant to subscribe to your channel not because an issue with the content you provide a fellow community, but because of my own availability to see the videos, but seeing this full display of faith, passion and effort made clear my decision: you deserve it, mine and many many more for your cause. You are truly our Sigismund. A legend. Thanks for reading this if you did and thanks to introduce us to such important and rich character in the setting. I hope you have more fun creating more interesting pieces of lore for your followers. We'll wait with interest.
Top shelf work as always Balders. Thank you! *edit* You're absolutely correct in that GW needs to replace Abaddon. He’s not a threat and never has been. In the new age of Primarchs, one of them needs to remove Abaddon the 'Armless.
Very powerful monologue towards the end, topped off by potentially the single most calm and polite "toodle-loo" I've ever heard. THIS is the content that I subscribed for
The way the duel of sigismund and kharn was written in the first wall novel was a an after thought. Perhaps Baldermort could give us the true duel we were waiting for?
To give the author the benefit of the doubt...Perhaps it was to set the stage for Siggy becoming full-on faithful. Having seen the nature of Chaos, now he knows that focus and dedication to duty alone are not enough in the face of such supernatural power. He will find that faith levels the playing field again and his skill will be able to outshine theirs again while rising upon faith's wings.
Woo!! Uncle Baldy! Those last two minutes are truly Righteous! You’ve sparked the fire for The Black Templars yet again for me. This was a masterpiece, well worth the wait!
I've been feeling kind of down. Seems like again and pain from my younger days are catching up to me. I at one time was very athletic. Nothing could stop me. For a little over an hour, you made me fill I can do it all again. Thank you for the positive energy you give me.

@@BENR8108
We do know.
Sigismund kills him in Warhawk.
@@kelman727 I haven’t read Warhawk; so that’s interesting… hope the payoff was worth it
@Brendon Landis but that’s the lore.. Kharn only died once; at the battle of Terra. With him and Sigismund being friends; it makes a perfect literary sense for them to fight to the death.
The 7 things that to me make Sigismund one of my all time favorite characters in the era of 30k,
1. Even by the standards of Space Marines Sigismund was an absolute God-Tier Warrior and Duelist
2. He was best bros with Kharn before Kharn went crazy
3. When he was named the Emperors Champion his sole order from Dorn was to find every single champion of Chaos and slaughter them violently and brutally
4. Sanguinius praised Sigismund for his skills at killing the enemies of humanity, calling him "Death Incarnate"
5. Sigismund was able to hold his own for a short while against Daemon Primarch Fulgrim
6. He Became the First High Marshall of imo the coolest successor chapter, The Black Templars and when Abaddon launched his first Black Crusade, Sigismund got shit done and had his forces up almost immediately
Sigismund didn't utter the most badass final words in WH40K, he uttered the most badass final line in all of fiction
8. He was level headed and possessed wisdom to realised a cold reality of human nature of limitless need to master space and fear of loosing it. He stated " In the far future, there will be only war".
So that's why Primus was intrance of the black sword in Helsreach, its because that's the sword that wounded Abbadon
@@roxxaviguetero8168 There are 7 identical swords. Each for one Templar Crusade given only to the emperor's champion.

Sigismund has the most important quote in all of warhammer...
"We will spend our lives fighting to secure this Imperium, and then I fear we will spend the rest of our days fighting to keep it intact... In the far future, there will be only war"
Oh, I think I read this recently, is it from the first HH book?
@@JimboDoomface The qoute is actually from the third edition rulebook, it is where the "there is only war" is from :)

‘He has looked defeat in the eye, and smelled its breath too, but no one mentions that.’
‘But you do?’
‘I can say what I like of him. I have bled for the right. And - no matter how good he is - he would take more than a scar if he decided to take offence. You do not have that right, no matter who you are.’
‘But is it true that he has never been defeated, never lost a duel, never failed?’
‘Never,’ says Rann with a shake of his head. ‘It’s one of the things that make him so difficult to like.’
‘Let us hope that he will not break the habit.’
Alert sirens sound. ‘Breach impact countdown commencing.’ - Few words about Sigismund "Templar" - John French
The White Scar spun his weapon, then snapped it to stillness. Dirty rivulets of water streamed down the creases of his face.
‘Do you not want to know my name?’
Sigismund looked up into the grey of his opponent’s eyes.
‘But you are missing something, for all your skill!’
He flicked his blade out and cut down, and Sigismund raised his sword to turn the glaive.
You know it too.’
His lips cracked wide to show sharp, white teeth.
‘But the song was worth the singing.’ Sigismund opened his mouth, forming words with a jaw that felt broken.
‘You were beaten because you lack focus.’
‘And you lack joy.’
‘We exist to serve.’
‘And there is nothing more?’
Sigismund shook his head.
‘Nothing more.’ Jubal looked around, blinking, as though seeing the watching ranks of legionaries for the first time. Then he turned back to Sigismund, and spun his weapon with his good arm.
‘Come, let us finish this,’ he said. - Jubal khan vs Sigismund
‘Sigismund,’ Abaddon said, through lips darkened by his own lifeblood, ‘this claw has killed two primarchs.
Soulless. Honourless. Weeping. Ashamed.’
Sigismund’s last word was also his last breath. It sighed out of his mouth, taking his soul with it. ..." The death of the Black Knight"[Black Legion - Aaron Dembski Bowden]

Fair cop.
I know in my heart that Sigismund would have mopped the floor with Abbadon if they met during the Heresy.
it would be like when Kharn beat the shit out of Erebus 3x in one duel. Only that Sigismund ain't giving 3 chances. Abaddon will get murked from the get go.
Our Faithful servant has retold a great saga once again. Truly a joy to listen to, always.
Sigismund, first son and the emperors own champion. The truest warrior. The barristan selmy, the Ben kenobi, of warhammer.
The Barriston Selmy indeed, that is an apt description
Pretty sure Sigismund would stomp them both to be honest

Alas, I did not. Sorry!
@@terrencemedders1867 That would be awesome!
The greatest astarte to fight for the imperium of man.
I can’t wait for the siege book where we get to see his finest hour.
