I think it would be hilarious if Trazyn randomly woke up in a vault of their Fortress Monestary honestly not knowing how he got there. I imagine he would have a brief existential crisis pondering the action of kleptomania.

Moments later, a shout, full of bloody fury shook the galaxy, a warp storm engulfed some poor system. Confused, the Grandmaster asks for visuals on the source of the disruption. Techmarine and Librarian alike scramble to hook up an ancient scrying device, that pops on.
The Supreme Grandmaster is puzzled for a moment, requiring several seconds to process what is happening. The scene is aboard a cursed vessel of the traitor legions. A high ranking one. A Space Marine, clad in fullm crimson terminator armor, is sprinting down the halls and decks, displaying feats of frankly impossible acrobatics, as he flips between major systems, runs along walls, and performs maneuvers that would not seem out of place if performed by a Harlequin. In his mighty clenched fist are two mysterious, long, ebon objects. The Supreme Grandmaster puzzles deeply over these prizes, and relents from identifying them to inspect his pursuer for clues. The Supreme Grandmaster's jaw slackens as he recognizes the face of the ultimate enemy, the thrice damnable grimace of Abbadon the Despoiler.
The Supreme Grandmaster is about to begin giving orders to move out, when he realizes that the Despoiler's gait is... off. Unbalanced. He looks again, and the shock of what he sees causes warning klaxons in his sanctified armor to blare, alerting the world of the sure doom of the Supreme Grandmaster. Abbadon has been maimed, empty sockets in his vile armor peek out from where his arms should be. The Supreme Grandmaster does not even need to reconfirm the identity of the prize the fleeing terminator must have wrested from their foul attatchments.
Looking forward to seeing that in the next DOW title as a relic, and if you use it it just closes the game.

The Dark Angels and the Blood Ravens are both mysterious Chapters. The Dark Angels have a shameful past and mysteries that they themselves do not fully know, but guard the secrets that they know at almost any cost from others, while the Blood Ravens have much ancient unknown history that they seek to know at almost any cost.

@@daddydanks6660 Well obviously, they choose that information prvity to them since "advancements in technology" gets you executed on sight. IMO if had they choice I would join Blood Ravens hands up since they are more open to the idea unlike you know... the rest of the imperium. I think they are the coolest of the bunch when compared to the rest of the chapters, Ultramarines are up there too but Blood Ravens as I said, I like that they are more open to the idea of utilizing this knowledge as opposes to doing a "let's just get rid of everything cuz heresy" clause that typical Astartes do -- and the fact that in DoW 1/2 expansions, they are the best chapter story hands down.

I love the theory that the Blood Ravens are the loyalist sons of Magnus. It would explain many things about them, their rampant kleptmania not least of all. I love the idea of loyalist sons of fallen Primarchs, fighting for the Emperor against their own father and brothers.
Do you think they suffer from that flesh change thing, solved it, or keep it a closely guarded secret i wonder?
@@delta3030, they might. It might not be as bad for them as for the Thousand Sons. If they were part of the Fleet that Magnus sent away, they might not have been wrapped up in the mess that went down on Prospero.

The Flesh change was "cured" in one of Magnus' sons during the Horus Heresy and he was a loyalist. Could be that geneseed from him was used to create stable Thousand Sons for a Chapter.

Cawl knew who their primarch was and didn't bother to send them a post-it to let them know when he sent them their primaris. He's one of the best trolls in the setting.

@@catnium just proves that the over expression of certain genes was part of the "Emperor's Plan". Each of the primarchs was supposed to fulfill a goal of the Emperor along with their Legion. Magnus is perhaps the most obvious of these - he was supposed to power the Golden Thorne so the Big E could actually go out and rule the Universe rather than being the physic beacon of the astronomicon.
My guess is it's from the gene stock of one of the Primarchs he wasn't supposed to use. Be it traitor or the lost two.

They came and fought along side us. It was only after the battle that we found that they had absconded with some of our equipment and relics.- random space marine captain.

I did not know that the Blood Ravens had such a rich lore behind them! You can truly make anything interesting baldy.
Vulkan lives stomp stomp are there chapter of the sisters of battle around you rim of your sector they must jealous that your armor has more fire-resistant than theirs and if they want some of that tech they have to play nice with you guys.
Im still convinced that the real reason the Blood Ravens collect all these artifacts is cause someone looked at them and said 'So Ravens are known to just up and steal shit, right?'
I like to think they’re Thousand Sons successors. The reasons are pretty obvious, with their whole thing being seeking knowledge, plus all the powerful psykers they have.

A Space Marine Chapter Consists of One Thousand Battle Brothers. One Thousand Sons, and Magnus the Red is a prolific psyker, also He is a bird-man now. Ravens are Birds, Blood is Red and Magnus did alot of things he was not supposed to do. Like Father, like a thousand sons!
And the reason they don’t mutate into warp spawn is because there gene seed was cloned from Janus. a former thousand son and also host of a shard of Magnus.

@@LoganSearles Janus wasn’t immune to the Flesh-change though. The only reason he survived it was due to being infused with a shard of Magnus. On top of that Janus was a Grey Knight so if anyone got his Geneseed after he died it would have been them.

I have my own theory that there descend from magnus the red but not from magnus himself I think there founder is janus the first grey knight who's gene seed was purified after malcador combined a piece of magnus's soul with him so the rubric wouldn't have effected them

Oddly, the Blood Raven's were my intro to 40k back when I picked up Dawn of War because I thought it looked like a cool game.
So little did I know of 40k back then.

They are my 1 of my top 5 loyalist chapters. I hope their table top play stile evolves to match how the Thousandsons play. A librarian in every squad.
Plus a seer counsel HQ choice where you have 1 main librarians and 2 level 1 librarians In a squad.
Gotta love the comment section on this one; the Blood Ravens are my favorite chapter thanks to Dawn of War and I loved how they helped Titus out in Space Marine; though I have a feeling they wanted a look at the Chaos artifact.

I personally love the idea they are loyal sons of Magnus. There is a lot of information that suggests this and I hope it's the case.
It would be interesting to see what would ever happen if it became real and they found out.

But I just don't like that idea, They are to blank. If we found out they where sons of Magnus imagine the shit that would go down.
A lot of stuff would need to be filled in on the purged primarchs for to be anything other than an "ok....." response.
And gameplay wise purged primarchs allow custom legions and chapters.

The Blood Ravens are my favourite Space Marines Chapter, due to being the ones that introduced me to Warhammer 40K with the Dawn of War games.
Love of knowledge and high levels of psykers, i suspect that their primark may also like Egyptian heraldry.
The Blood Ravens are my intro 40k. I have been playing the video games for over a decade. Once I finally started tabletop, there was no doubt what chapter I was going to paint my Astartes as.
They are like Kender space Marines. They are too curious foe their own good and more often then not find items belonging to others nestled in their cargo vaults.
Kender...Space Marines...you bring a dangerous subject to an equally dangerous topic....and damn you! I've spent years forgetting Kenders existed at one time! *hides Dragonlance book collection* For reals!

My second favorite chapters (Black Templars first) Plus a 50 min video on a very little known chapter (lore wise), right after a 2 hr video? Amazing! Funny thing. I got into 40k through Dawn of War (as i suspect alot of people did). I was genuinely surprised that it turn out the Ultramarines were the poster boys for space marines because of that
The very chapter that got myself and many more people in 40k and still my favourite chapter to this day, I also table top the Blood Ravens. Say what you will but theses guys helped the hobby grow alot.

Haven't commented in a while but I just wanted to drop by and say THANK YOU!!
Your trilogy on Dorn and the videos on the silent king was what made me fall in love with 40k, it turned a curiosity and hobby I had into passion and I'll always be grateful for that.
And just this week my girlfriend decided to listen to them too and cried during the third video on Dorn and definitely fell in love with the lore too.
I've been a fan of the channel from almost the begining (it definitely feels like it was far longer ago than it really was haha) and have always wanted to just say, thank you!

This guys have a special place I my heart... I meet then when a friend told me about an outstanding RTS Called Warhammer 40k: Dark Crusade. I've played hours and hours with the "red armored humans". I saw that ending cutscene (that battle against Orks) and I started to search about lore (learned about Horus, who I thought was a Necron because of egypt shinanegans) and now I'm here remembering all of it with a pretty damn good smile upon my face.
