@@GatorRay Starving Venom is fine the way it is. Its generic summoning requirements make up for any perceived inadequacies. At any rate, I think its already decently powerful the way it is.

Haha not my deck. I run orcust guardragon and consistently end on Abyss, Exterio, Sphere, ding, Galatea and a Crescendo. Even if an opponent used super poly, I would only lose a dingirsu/Galatea and my Abyss. I’d still have spell and trap negation and one - two interruptions plus I run one Goliath for spheres eff. Only card that can do real damage to my deck is sphere mode BUT I RUN FOG KING WHICH NEGATES TRIBUTES so basically I’m all good

Malicious is solved by putting a hard one per turn and Necroface is a degenerate card anyway. Semi limit list exist best reason for existing is for Komani to test out taking card off the limited list.
Agreed. It can kill a ton of boards that rely on keeping your opponent from playing YuGiOh. I am extremely excited and mad to hear this but it was going to happen or never at all

Pretty good. I started running 3 copies in my Volcanic deck and it actually allowed me to win a couple of matches against meta decks. It would be even better if I could run new Volcanic support with it... Day 152 of waiting for new Volcanic support to arrive
Have you thought about volcanic, dracos or volcanic salamangreats? Might run really good. Also teched in rainbow neos with neos fusion and can send volcanic continuous trap to the grave with protection. Just some ideas.
I personally like super poly in the format as sort of the definitive break a board card. I know some will argue not being able to respond isnt fair but some current boards in the game certainly aren't fair either. Its also just a nice boost to dolls and heros.

Ever since the new banlist, we've gone into a Thunder Dragon format. At this moment, I think that Super Poly is probably one of the healthiest antimeta cards for the format and I think that it actually gives the chance to more budget players to step up their game?? I don't get why some people actually hate it so much, honestly.

The extra deck space in meta decks is already ridiculously tight so they'll have to make some sacrifices. And even if they began abusing it, it doesn't change the fact that the player going second will have a chance as he'll have an out to his opponent's board filled with negates. Yes it can be abused but at this point of time its a necessary evil.
In the 5D's anime, powerful cards have a "this card/effect/activation cannot be negated" clause. This clause allows the characters to fight against BS boards while still leaving room for the opponent to defend themselves by using non-negating effects in response. It allows for interactive play which is what Yu-Gi-Oh irl is seriously lacking right now.
Don't sleep on Metalfoes. Today I make my solid board with thunder dragons. My opponent summons one metalfoes monster and plays super poly, taking out my hope harbinger with my colossus for a fusion monster. This format is whoa, seriously.
World Chalice Guardragon Almarduke is interesting as well. It's hard to see 3 links on the field at the same time though. If you go 1st you'll likely see a moment to get something else out sooner and if you go 2nd you likely won't see more than 2 link monsters on the field.
The next Legendary Duelist set (Immortal Destiny) will give us another Super Poly target with Predaplant Triphyovertum, which takes 3 dark monsters but can negate the summon of an extra deck monster. Probably not better than Starving Venom due to the higher material count, but it can clear out the bigger boards.
I remember when I used to play with my friends at school, and I ran Super Poly in my elemental hero deck. The fact that it was quick play let me trigger "Absolute Zero"'s effect during my opponents turn and the fact that it let me use my opponents monsters let me summon "Absolute Zero" and "Gaia" using my opponent's monsters
That's the exact play I did to my buddy's dragunity yesterday lol. Ending on savage, hieratic seal, crystal wing and titanic galaxy. I set guru then super poly to fuse everything to five headed dragon.

You can even be that person who turns their Link Monsters into Almarduke during the Battle Phase with Super Poly after they've all attacked. Shhh...you didn't hear anything haha. But for real, everyone's sleeping on Zombie World that allows you to use ANY 2 of your opponent's monsters to summon Dragonecro... Imagine doing those same Super Poly shenanigans in the Battle Phase, but banishing Banshee from your graveyard and just throwing it on them out of nowhere. Shhh.... great minds think alike. How do you get 43% to 44% of getting super poly in your opening 6 cards (12:28 on the video)? If you play 3 copies out of 40 and you have drawn 6 cards, 6 out of 40 is the equation isn't it? So how did you come up with 43% to 44%
Another thing you can do against Pends is summoning a Vortex Dragon of your own with their Vortex Dragon + any pendulum monsters they have, then use it's effect on Hieratic Spheres to force the bounce then break whats left with whatever you have in your hand
Honestly I see nothing with super poly at 3. I mean what s the difference between this and people who make big almost unbreakable board. Should you just have to give up since they went first because their deck can play through hand traps?
I honestly don't see why people say it's over powered. There's so many better options. Pankratops generally trades 1 for two and it's also not bound to a few match ups. Or you could run hand traps to stop your opponent from establishing a board in the first place, most decks have one or two that they really don't want to try to play through.
Hate to break it to you, but super powerful break-my-board YuGiOh has been existing for years now and it isn't going anytime soon. Superpoly is a needed evil, similar to the way handtraps or Evenly Matched are.
I loved running superpoly waaaaay back in the day with Elemental Heroes, because that's another deck that has a boatload of targets to use on it. I don't think I could play that old deck in this format, (especially since there's plenty of new support out there for heroes, and the extra deck space is already tight.)

Well pendulums can use Amorphage Sloth to be immune to Super Polymerization, since Sloth effect make that both players cannot special summon monsters from the extra deck unless they are Amorphage. The main problem if that you use the easy combo to summon him, you cannot use the guardragon combo and int would probably have a lot less negations/interruptions.
There is another good super poly it s a predaplant monster that requires 3 dark monster and it can negate special summon from extra deck but it still in ocg if i wasn t wrong and and you can use salamangreat fusion monster i used it in my side deck

In the 5D's anime, powerful cards have a "this card/effect/activation cannot be negated" clause. This clause allows the characters to fight against BS boards while still leaving room for the opponent to defend themselves by using non-negating effects in response.
It allows for interactive play which is what Yu-Gi-Oh irl is seriously lacking right now.

Don't sleep on Metalfoes. Today I make my solid board with thunder dragons. My opponent summons one metalfoes monster and plays super poly, taking out my hope harbinger with my colossus for a fusion monster. This format is whoa, seriously.

World Chalice Guardragon Almarduke is interesting as well. It's hard to see 3 links on the field at the same time though. If you go 1st you'll likely see a moment to get something else out sooner and if you go 2nd you likely won't see more than 2 link monsters on the field.

The next Legendary Duelist set (Immortal Destiny) will give us another Super Poly target with Predaplant Triphyovertum, which takes 3 dark monsters but can negate the summon of an extra deck monster. Probably not better than Starving Venom due to the higher material count, but it can clear out the bigger boards.
I remember when I used to play with my friends at school, and I ran Super Poly in my elemental hero deck. The fact that it was quick play let me trigger "Absolute Zero"'s effect during my opponents turn and the fact that it let me use my opponents monsters let me summon "Absolute Zero" and "Gaia" using my opponent's monsters
. All my friends would play dragon decks, so i sided in super poly and 5 headed dragon. Clearing their field and having a 5k attack monster. ez OTK
That's the exact play I did to my buddy's dragunity yesterday lol. Ending on savage, hieratic seal, crystal wing and titanic galaxy. I set guru then super poly to fuse everything to five headed dragon.

You can even be that person who turns their Link Monsters into Almarduke during the Battle Phase with Super Poly after they've all attacked. Shhh...you didn't hear anything haha. But for real, everyone's sleeping on Zombie World that allows you to use ANY 2 of your opponent's monsters to summon Dragonecro... Imagine doing those same Super Poly shenanigans in the Battle Phase, but banishing Banshee from your graveyard and just throwing it on them out of nowhere.

Another thing you can do against Pends is summoning a Vortex Dragon of your own with their Vortex Dragon + any pendulum monsters they have, then use it's effect on Hieratic Spheres to force the bounce then break whats left with whatever you have in your hand

I honestly don't see why people say it's over powered. There's so many better options. Pankratops generally trades 1 for two and it's also not bound to a few match ups. Or you could run hand traps to stop your opponent from establishing a board in the first place, most decks have one or two that they really don't want to try to play through.
Hate to break it to you, but super powerful break-my-board YuGiOh has been existing for years now and it isn't going anytime soon. Superpoly is a needed evil, similar to the way handtraps or Evenly Matched are.
I loved running superpoly waaaaay back in the day with Elemental Heroes, because that's another deck that has a boatload of targets to use on it. I don't think I could play that old deck in this format, (especially since there's plenty of new support out there for heroes, and the extra deck space is already tight.)

Super-Poly is a well-designed card, or at least when it was designed it was. It would have been useful in the odd Elemental HERO mirror match but had few uses at the time. In the current format having it at 3 is a fantastic decision for lending an option to decks that might have a tough time against some of the more prominent meta decks. It's not a case of the card being well-designed or not, but whether it should exist in whichever format we're in.
The more decks that populate the meta in a format the better. Paleo, True Draco, Nekroz and Guru Control are on the rise while Orcusts, Salamangreat, Altergeist and Sky Strikers will remain as viable/represented as before, just brought down closer to the level of those rogue strategies. The only mistake was leaving pendulums untouched (and killing Trickstar/Metaverse to keep an actually poorly-designed card in the game, RIP) but besides that this format is exciting and Super-Poly is a great tool for bridging that gap between high-level hyper-competitive tier-1 decks and rogue strategies that will see higher representation.
Can't wait for the next big tournament, I was getting super sick of the Salad mirrors in every final.

Well pendulums can use Amorphage Sloth to be immune to Super Polymerization, since Sloth effect make that both players cannot special summon monsters from the extra deck unless they are Amorphage. The main problem if that you use the easy combo to summon him, you cannot use the guardragon combo and int would probably have a lot less negations/interruptions.
