"Pick of the Day" - 2002 Gibson Mastertone RB-3

Today we're changing things up quite a bit with a really great 2002 Gibson Mastertone RB-3! A great sounding, professional level 5-string banjo from Gibson! Very good condition with very little wear other than some natural patina on the Nickel hardware. We had our friend Dune Butler in the shop, and he knows his way around more instruments than most of us, so we had him take this thing for a spin!

You're right, it is definitely a workhorse. Would have been nice to hear a bluegrass picker wear it out for about 15 minutes.

My cousin has a early 2000s master tone and it plays like a dream! I been trying to buy it for years. The difference between a 500 dollar beginners banjo line I have and his Gibson it’s like night and day. It plays so smooth and the action is fantastic. All you gotta do is touch it
