Anyone who loves Splatoon 2 as much as I do should definitely get this DLC. It's a huge challenge to beat but the rewards are great. The story is there as well, the small details in each of the levels are great, the atmosphere is amazing, and the music is absolutely fresh. This is how you make a DLC. Loved it.
It is unusual that Japanese devs are actually calling those cute cephalopods Inklings and Octolings, internally at least. The Japanese version have called them Ika and Tako (literally meaning squids and octopedes) as official terms. Things have changed since this show and SSB Ultimate. In other words, Splatoon's localization teams did a great job. Stay fresh!

I adore splatoon and have since the first game but was a bit put off after I lost all of my save data, and can't be bothered to replay all of story mode with all of the weapons again on top of regaining my % on salmon run and rank on ranked, but this gives me something fresh to have fun with

All the failed references at throwbacks to the 70s, 80s and 90s, and reuniting with Captain Cuttlefish, and all the new characters we meet as our new Agent 8 are a treat to experience. The combat may be the same, but the world of the Octarians is tinged with sadness in addition to aggression towards the paradisal surface world where the Inklings live. C'mon Octarian buddies! Let's stay fresh together!
The music in the background is The Calamari Inkentaintion (I forget how to spell that)and the guy is Captain Cuttlefish from Splatoon(I never played Splatoon I've only played Splatoon and the Octo expansion...Plz don't get mad at me....)
