Android not Receiving Text after Switching from iPhone

- If you switched to Android and are not getting texts from iPhone, here is the easy fix.
Before you switch from an iPhone iOS to an android or windows phone, there are a few things you should be aware of, one of those is turning off or deactivating the iMessage option on your phone
iPhone uses the iMessage functionality to text between them, so if you have switched from iPhone to android but did not turned off the iMessage feature, apple still thing you have the "iphone" with you and text messages coming out of another iphone to your number will be delivered through iMessage and not the standard txt messaging service
so it's very easy to solve this, just to to Settings, Messages and turn off iMessages. If you no longer have the iPhone with you, head to this website:
selfsolve.apple.com/deregiste... fill in your number and confirm the code and you're done. This is normally called the iMessage bug, as it shouldnt happen at all
if this doesnt solve it, then you'll need to check the APN and MMS settigns on the phone, as MMS or picture messages rely on these settings, if they are not configured, then you wont be able to send or receive text messages

I had no switch in Carriers. WAs told by mine that so many carriers are selling or combining and many phone makers are just not maing their phones compatible. Then someone else said it was the towers. So then I had Carrier reset the Net on phone, the APN they said, but even that did not work until I did what you suggested. Thank you!

How come the people at the phone store don't know how to fix this problem they should be trained
I have been dealing with this crap for years..its at random. I noticed it happens some iPhone users that text me. We called Apple and the T-Mobile and they have no clue.. I still have issue but I think it's because I have an old MacBook and i remember getting messages from my friend who had text me a while ago..I know Apple has this imessege feature across devices so it's a good idea to disable the feature on other Apple products.

No my problem is I got rid of iPhone got a galaxy S23+ and now I can’t get any messages on my iPad. That’s my problem phone works fine
idk if anyone will see this but I thought i would try. I already activated and mostly set up my Samsung S21 FE after having an iphone 8. Do I take out the SIM currently in my samsung and insert the SIM from the iphone so I can receive my texts or do I just deactivate imessage through the iphone and thats it? Hopefully my question makes sense.
Thanks it helped I'm an android guy who phone stopped working so I used my wife's former iPhone and now I just had a galaxy and I couldn't received any texts from my iPhone friends, man I hated apple now I hate it even more!!

Sir, How about if the battery of an IPhone is completely dead, & switch to Android. How do you work that one out?
Solution A: Get one of those apps that give a phone number and give it to people trying to reach you
Solution B: get a new number
So everyone that uses a i phone is not goi g to do this for my android, this does not mske sense

So I just switched from Iphone14pro max to z fold 3 and I went into t mobile they gave me a SIM card and put it into the new fold phone however I still receive messages to my iPhone. When I send a text from the new fold phone the recipient gets the text when they respond it goes to my iPhone or not at all if the iPhone doesn’t have WiFi. I do not get any text on my fold phone

@@isubki8275 I ended up having to disconnect and turn off my I message and FaceTime for a little to let the service register the new phone and then after a day turn my iCloud and stuff back on

OK, that happened to me but now I have the opposite and need to swop back. My Samsung is intercepting my sms chats to iPhone w/ active sim

Im with Telus , an I switched to Apple from android I have barely gotten any sms ever now an then it works for a message or two I switch sims to an e sim at the same time I switched to iPhone

Me 3! I'm getting from most iPhone s but have 3-5 people that I can't get messages from. I've tried switching messaging apps too. The only one that works is WhatsApp, but most people here don't use it like they do out of the country.
