I feel this show lost a lot of it's emotion and heart in the second season. Especially when you compare it to the first season. The first season almost every episode it brought me to tears. The second season doesn't really have a lot of that if at all.
The actor that played Sir Reginald Harrington is Veteran English Actor, Director and Playwright Paxton Whitehead best known for playing the long-suffering butler and head of the household staff Albert Dudley on the syndicated comedy Marblehead Manor and the actress who played his wife Linda is Veteran English Actress Sarah Douglas best known as Pamela Lynch on the Prime Time Soap Falcon Crest, Queen Taramis in Conan the Destroyer and most notably the evil villainess Ursa in Superman II She is a still a beautiful woman
Marblehead Manor only lasted one season, sadly. But I do remember it. And it came out right after Back to School, so it was a way for Paxton to ride in on its success.
I don't blame Molly, Millicent or Brian for not wanting to be near Crusher one bit because I am not a fan of snakes either. As long as they are kept in a cage, I can handle it. However, the moment someone takes the snake out of it's cage, I am Splitsville.
I really wanted to see the relationship between these two families go forward, see how Millicent gained Gregory and Molly's approval for a step mom, see Brian and Millicent have a relationship. Maybe see an episode where they are expecting a child. Oh so much more could've been done before it ended. It could've at least lasted two more seasons then end with Brian and Millicent get married and then a cut forward with their child.
I really didn't want to see the adults get together. That's like Who's the Boss? and other shows where you have a man and woman living together. Can't they just have a platonic relationship and not get together?
I didn't. I think it would have been more refreshing and honest had Mrs Torkelson just helped to raise his kids and then once the kids had graduated, Mrs Torkelson would have said Thanks and adios and enjoyed her single life on her own with no one else! ^_^
I never noticed how handsome and articulate he actually is . I was so used to seeing him as " annoying sidekick" to JT on step by step but he's actually a really good actor ❤
Titles aren't copyrighted so as long as the plot isn't the same it is okay. They had a title in the first season called The Egg and I, which is not only a film, but an episode that MWC had as a title in the same year.
this was owned by disney in some way shape or form...the first season was disney, although the second was touchstone. And reruns aired on disney channel, so i guess they had some hand in it somewhere
Oh, he's talking to Jennifer on the phone, the Erin Grey character. So she might've turned up again if they had done more seasons. I think they could've had the relationship.

HI there it's not really the same cause the dress in Pretty Woman that Julia Roberts wore was red and a bit different the dress Mrs Torkelson wore here is similar.
Yeah, I wouldn't have them have a relationship. I would've had Mr. Morgan have that relationship with Jennifer, who was in an earlier episode and is mentioned here.
It's like the dress Julia Roberts wore in Pretty Woman. The cocktail one lol.
Yes it’s exactly the same!
It is!
I peeped that
Before marrying Sir Reginald, Lady Harrington had a stint as a school teacher to Charlie Brown.
I thought she also did a stint as a Kryptonian villain and a lizard alien.
I enjoyed both versions of the show they were really good, it's a shame it didn't last long.
True, NBC should've given it more of a chance, the dopes.
@@sha11235]]]]]]😊
I agree.
Ben Affleck was in the previous episode. Jared Leto is in this one. Both Batman and the Joker are on this show.
I can almost imagine Max Goof encountering Batman & The Joker.
Okay, now I see where Jared played the Joker. I didn't know he did it in the recent Justice League because I haven't seen it yet.
The previous episode was actually the series finale, if you go by production codes.
Don't forget Sarah "Ursa" Douglas!
@@MGrayl-ib5fo Was she in the Superman movie?
I enjoyed The Torkelsons much more than this show. Still good. Left me wanting more though.
Hey too me both shows were great I liked them.
True, too bad this wasn't given a big chance.
Jason Marsden was so cute. He's very talented.
He was the white haired kid in the show Eiree Indiana another show that I liked watching.
I liked him and the Molly character a lot, they were my favorite from the second season.
He's a 90's kind of guy.
Max Goof
The actress for Lady Harrington must have been having a ball with that part, LOL.
She was in Superman 2 :-)
That The Infamous Black Dress From "Pretty Woman." Julia Roberts Wore It.
It's slightly terrifying that I understood some of what the wife said. 2020 and lack of conversation has turned my brain to mush.

some of us don't dig that sentimental stuff though ...I like this version better.
It was a different format here.
I agree, I also don't like how they cut the other two children out she went from 5kids down to 3 .. they never even explained what happened to them...
Agreed. This one is just for entertainment but the first season had real substance.
I missed the original Torkelsons. Almost Home felt just whipped together with no real thought. No wonder it flopped after 1 season.
I agree with you. This version is…fine. But I really miss the heart, the lessons, Boarder Hodges(!) from the first season.
How is Minkus so adorable here but so irritating on Boy Meets World? 🤣
Good acting lol
Different character. And I never caught on to that show.
18:11 damn! Season 2 has some hot cameos
Brittany and Olivia were the cutest in this series
R. I. P. Brittany
They ❤ definitely were cute 🥰
That lady with the white jacket sounds hilarious
I know right, what in the world was she saying LoL 😁.
Some English accents are actually like that, so thick they are hard to understand
@@steveespinola7652 Nonsense Cockney English.
Molly: Face it. I win.
Chucky Lee: Excuse me! Has anyone seen my boa constrictor?
Chucky Lee for the win!!

Paxton Whitehead also played stuffy professor Philip Barbay, Rodney Dangerfield's nemesis in the movie "Back to School".

I had a Silver Spoons episode on the DVR from Antenna TV when Rick was watching Alfonso's boa constrictor.
Hey I wouldn't mind having a snake like Crusher for a pet, I'd just would have to keep it away from my budgies or else not a pretty picture.
That snake is gross
@@ladylefteye I guess you don't like snakes either, right?
Nick Wells right I don’t lol. That’s one thing that I cannot be near.

I always thought Jason Marsden was so annoying as a kid but he’s actually hilarious! 😂
I actually do think he was annoying. He has literally one tone: sarcastic girl crazy douche. That’s it. Nothing more.
I never noticed how handsome and articulate he actually is . I was so used to seeing him as " annoying sidekick" to JT on step by step but he's actually a really good actor ❤
The English wife sound like a youtuber called Josie who is also English haha
Millicent gets straight up ASSAULTED at the restaurant AND victim-blamed.
Funny how Disney let them name this episode after one of their animated movies.

Millicent and Dorothy Jane aren't just mother and daughter, they are best friends ❤❤❤
I know they exaggerate to make things funnier, but some people actually do have British accents like that brunette woman
If that's true than how can a person expect to understand what that person with that accent is saying? LoL 😁.
what type of British English was she speaking?
I have no clue lol 😁.
I love how the husband can't even understand her.
@@steveespinola7652 I thought it was over the top Cockney.
Gregory and Dorothy Jane make a cute couple.
not
They are more like brother and sister
I never thought so because I wanted their parents together.
Some of the guests took their plates. I hope they were paper plates.
The wife sounds like cousin it from the Addams family
I think Mrs. Torkelson and Mr Morgan should have gotten together . I would have liked to seen more of them
I think that's what they were aiming for
Isn't that the little black dress Julia Roberts wears in Pretty Woman?
Maybe, since this was by Touchstone TV and that was by Touchstone Pictures. They might've had it in wardrobe.
Another way to get everyone out of there fast was to cut a loud fart.
So much better and different than the first season. Wish this lasted longer.
You didn't like Aaron Michael Metchik as Steven Floyd?
Mickey Mouse He was good.
Yeah he was, especially in the latter half of the season.
Mickey Mouse I felt they didn't have a lot of ideas for him and Ruth Ann which may be why they were written off.
I felt like Chuckie Lee and Mary Sue had less than them

I do, but I also like it cold

Steve Espinola instead of HOT milk, try WARM milk, lightly sweetened with your favorite coffee creamer. And only at night! You’re welcome!

Yes it is
What's up with the English guy's wife? Why does she talk like that?🤣
Lol 😂
It's supposed to be funny.
That looks like the same black dress design that Julia Roberts wore in Pretty Woman
Fun Fact for everyone Jason Marsden was the white haired kid in the show Eiree Indiana which I liked watching.

I only drink it hot as cocoa
And for me it would only be with coffee cause I like to have milk in my coffee when I drink it in morning.
