I was born in 1964 and both of my parents born in the 30's and my Mother and Father loved the Honeymooners. We watched these episodes all the time and laughed our heads off. Rest in peace Jackie Gleason!!

This is one of my favorite Honeymooners episodes. Very clever story by the writers and, of course, great performances. It amazes me how tight the pace of this show was. Less than 30 minutes in length, but they packed a lot of punch in that short time frame and managed to get it just right every time.
Can you believe all these actors so professional and smooth while keeping everything harmoinous with no flaws ?!!. They're all far better than those who are on TV these day, for sure, in my opinion.
When I was a little kid in the early 50’s we lived in a similar apartment on E 95th street just a few blocks from the Adelphi Theater where these shows were filmed. I always admired the talented stars of the Honeymooners… Ralph, Norton, Alice and Trixie were and are like family to me.
The Adelphi Theatre was on the West side, on W54th Street. But, it’s still great that you identify strongly with the characters because you are a NY native. I think that the show was successful because millions of fans did (do) relate to the characters so much.
The special chemistry between Jackie Gleason and Art Carney was comedy gold. These episodes aired first run in 1955 when I was a little girl. I'm an old 71 year old woman now watching these episodes and they're still hilarious.
I'm 72 now and I have been watching these episodes my whole life .I could remember watching them as a child in the fifties with my famiy as well.I still laugh each time .
I thought the best bit was in the beginning when Ralph talks about the lady attempting to get on the bus with her dog and that the dog is worth 10 grand. Gleason's comeback, "If he's worth that much, let him take a cab!" 😅👍

Now, today, u can get fired from a job for just turning and looking in someone's direction inadvertently at an unfortunate time for yourself because the looking in the direction of the person ITSELF is interpreted as something that is isn't! Or it's because they already don't like u anyway, so they find something trivial like that to twist into something that is isn't: a fireable offense. I truly do you hope they showed a New Year's Eve and New Year's Day marathon of The Honeymooners. Yes I still enjoy watching them even though they've been around way before I was born or even thought of.
That reporter named Mr. Martin is practically a regular on the show. He has been in many episodes, each time playing a different character, (dog pound clerk, Ralph's bowling partner, dad of kid Alice babysitted, etc.)
The Photographer was in several episodes as well, he was the man who instaled the phone a couple of times, once when Alice became a babby sitter and another time when Ralph found the counterfeit money on the bus.
The best show that revealed their friendship was when Norton was in an accident and went to the hospital. Right after they were in argument.."from this day on Norton, we are deadly enemies.
